Alleged budgetary slack during the application of presidential instruction number 4 year 2020 on the regional income and expenditure budget (APBD) city of Denpasar
Get PDFBudgetary slack is a budgeting activity that is not in accordance with the actual capabilities that can be achieved. Budgetary slack can have a negative impact, namely not achieving the best performance of a company or organization. The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence regarding the alleged budgetary slack in the Denpasar City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget by adopting the Tri Hita Karana Culture as a moderating variable. The data used are primary data obtained from data collection carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique used the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) analysis technique and then tested the data using the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) program. The total population in this study was 174 respondents, with purposive sampling method obtained an observational sample of 108 respondents. Based on the research analysis conducted, the results show that the Tri Hita Karana Culture moderates the effect of budgetary participation on budgetary slack and moderates the effect of information asymmetry on budgetary slack
Corporate governance practices and its impact on the financial performance of microfinance institutions in India
Get PDFThe Cadbury report (1992) has defined corporate governance as the “system by which companies are directed and controlled”. Explicitly CG is the framework in which stakeholders’ interests are to be balanced. Good governance practices have been observed as the key ingredient of microfinance institutions (MFIs) as it ventures to aid social and financial objectives. In this paper, we have examined the corporate governance practices in microfinance institutions (MFIs) and investigated the impact of corporate governance on the financial performance of the microfinance institutions (MFIs). Keyboard features are(board size, independent directors, independent audit committee) that have effects on the financial performance of the microfinance institutions of India. We have used 60 Indian companies as a sample and took 600 observations from selected companies, the time duration of the study is from 2016-2021. The audit committee has a negative impact on the performance, it doesn’t help in improving the monitoring and transparency of the firm. We found that the board size and audit committee have a significant impact on the performance, the corporate governance has a moderate impact on the financial performance of the Micro financing institutions

Impact of perceived social support and optimism on life satisfaction among women: Moderating role of social status
Get PDFResearch demonstrates that social status is a significant predictor of life satisfaction, both directly and via its mediating effect on life satisfaction's antecedents. Thus, the proposed study approach posits that social status mediates the association between life satisfaction and its two variables (optimism and perceived social support). Moreover, such research has mostly been conducted in Western contexts, necessitating research in India. In addition, our effort focuses on women, since they suffer a number of health-related issues that need investigation. This research used a quantitative and causal approach. This research comprised 513 questions as a sample. For data collection, an online survey was administered to working women in various sectors in the Union Territory of J&K. SEM analysis validates all seven assumptions (structural equation modelling). This work provides vital implications for many stakeholders
Association of vitamin-D with hypothyroidism in adult female patients in north Indian population
Get PDFBackground: Thyroid disorder is found to be most commonly occurring endocrine disorder in females. Thyroid hormones have an imperative position in metabolic methods in human body, and several physiological and pathological stimuli are known to influence thyroid metabolism. The increased incidence of hypovitaminosis D was diagnosed in population with hypothyroidism. Objective: To check the relation of Vitamin D in adult female patients diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Method: We recruited 60 patients and divided these patients into two groups, Group-1- Hypothyroidism patients (n=30) and Group-2- Control patients (n=30). Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH), total Triiodothyronine (T3), total Thyroxine (T4), and Vitamin D levels were estimated by automated method in Abbott ARCHITECT ci8200 machine. Results: In the present study we found patients with hypothyroidism 73.3% (n=22) has low level of Vitamin D while 26.6% (n=8) of population have normal level of Vitamin D. We could not find significant association between Vitamin D and hypothyroidism (p>0.05). Conclusion: Our study concluded that hypothyroidism has no significant role in lowering the levels of Vitamin D but we also emphasize the fact that Vitamin D should be done as routine investigation in healthy as well as hypothyroidism patients as its value was also less in control subjects
Efficacy of anterolateral thigh flap in oro-mandibular reconstruction: An original research
Get PDFThe purpose of this research was to evaluate the efficacy of utilizing the anterolateral flap from the thigh region for reconstructing the oro-mandibular defects when compared to other forms of flap reconstruction. A propensity score-matched analysis of patients with an oncologic head and neck defect who underwent microvascular reconstruction was performed. Two surgical groups, i.e., ALT (anterolateral thigh flap and bridging Plate) only and DFF (simultaneous soft tissue and vascularized bone flap), were created. Incidence and subsequent management strategies for postoperative plate exposure were evaluated along with complications, overall survival, and postoperative quality of life (QoL). Sixty-two patients were 1:1 propensity matched (31 per group). The DFF group had a significantly larger soft tissue and bone defect than the single-flap group. The 5-year probability of not having a plate exposure was 45.5 and 47.4% for the double-flaps and single-flap groups, respectively (p = 0.186). The ALT-only group had a significantly higher rate of wound infections (38.7% vs. 12.9%, p = 0.02). The incidence of flap loss, re-exploration, inpatient mortality, plate fracture, medical complications, and overall survival were not significantly different.

Polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG6000) was used as a structure-directing template to guide the synthesis of zirconia 1-D nanomaterials from zirconium hydrates manufactured locallyof the nanomaterials. There was a wide range of PEG/Zr mole ratios (0.067 to 0.167), pH was set at 9, the temperature was set at 80°C, and the ageing periods were anywhere from one to three hours. For the mineralogy of the synthetic zirconia, an X-ray diffractogram was employed, and the thermal behaviour of the zirconia was evaluated using a thermal gradient differential thermal analysis technique (TG-DTA). Ransomeware classification using fuzzy neural network algorithm
Get PDFTraditional malware classification relies on known malware types and significantly large datasets labelled manually which limits its ability to recognize new malware classes. For unknown malware types or new variants of existing malware containing only a few samples each class, common classification methods often fail to work well due to severe over fitting. In this paper, we propose a new neural network structure called fuzzy neural network based algorithm for ransom ware classification. Malware classification with fuzzy neural network classifier yields 98% accuracy which means greater performance than classification with neural network
