Occurrence of inferior alveolar nerve damage after internal fixation and open reduction in patients visiting Ayub Medical College with mandibular fractures
One of the most frequent injuries to the maxillofacial area is a fractured mandible. Multiple places can experience fractures. The inferior alveolar nerve is commonly injured by mandibular fractures. Objective: The study's objective was to determine the frequency of inferior alveolar nerve damage in patients who had internal fixation and open reduction of a mandibular fracture at the Ayub Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad. Methodology: With approval from the institution's ethics committee and CPSP, this descriptive case series was finished at the Department of Maxillofacial of the Ayub Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad. The method to evaluate percentage with absolute precision and the accompanying assumption were used to compute the sample size using the WHO programme for computing sample sizes in health research. Results: The mean age of the participants was 35.81+5.63 years, with a range of ages from 26 to 45. The age categories with the highest incidence were 26-30 (n=23, 23.96%), followed by the age ranges 36-40 and 41-45 (n=26, 27.08%). 75 (78.12%) men and 21 (21.88%) women participated in the research. General anaesthesia was used by the majority of patients (n=90; 93.75%), whereas local anaesthesia was used by the remaining patients (n=6; 6.25%).
The relationship between occlusion and posture
The stomatognathic system includes the relationship between teeth, masticatory muscles and temporomandibular joints with its relation with body and head posture. Aim of the study: This Systematic review is to research the relationship between occlusion and body posture. Materials and methods-Study design: This is a literature systematic review which is done after collecting more than 10 previous papers. Inclusion criteria: Papers explaining dental occlusion in details and its correlation with body and head posture. Exclusion criteria: Papers about occlusion focusing on occlusal splints and lab work. Conclusion: There is a strong relation between dental occlusion class, head, and body posture through PDL and the trigeminal nerve in the brain. Accordingly, the occlusion affects the posture and, more importantly, the position of the condyle in the temporal fossa. It was always believed that condyle position comes first then the occlusion, but it is the other way around
Foley catheter for induction of labor after cesarean section: A cohort study
Induction of labor may be necessary in around twenty-five to thirty percent of a woman's subsequent pregnancies when she has already given birth through cesarean section. During our research, the objective had been to ascertain the rate of spontaneous vaginal birth, rate of cesarean section, and rate of complications that followed the induction of labor with transcervical foley catheter in females who had previously had 1 cesarean section. This retrospective cohort trial was performed in the largest city in Palestine at a tertiary teaching hospital. In subsequent pregnancy, pregnant cases with a history of a prior CS delivery (n = 306) underwent labor induction at term with a Foley catheter. Women who underwent labor induction with transcervical foley catheter at Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, Palestine. From April 2017 until March 2020. Our research revealed that 46.7 percent of women had spontaneous vaginal births, 14.4 percent had assisted vaginal births, and one woman experienced uterine rupture. The frequency of postpartum hemorrhage is 30 percent, the most prevalent complication. 10 percent and 5 percent of mothers experienced intrapartum and postpartum infections, correspondingly. 5% of newborns had a confirmed infection, and there was one perinatal fatality related to uterine rupture.
Point of care ultrasound as initial diagnostic tool in acute dyspnea patients in the emergency department of a tertiary care center
Background: 1 of frequent symptoms that patients report to the emergency department has been dyspnea. In addition to clinical evaluation, a wide range of differentials frequently needs laboratory & radiographic tests, adding needless delay. Point-of-care in emergency departments, ultrasonography has been widely used tool as it can quickly & safely diagnose studied cases of dyspnea. Our research aimed to find out if point-of-care ultrasound has been used in our settings as primary diagnostic tool for patients with acute dyspnea. Summary: Dyspnea is 1 of the common problems that patients present to the ER. Wide variety of differentials typically calls for laboratory and radiographic investigations, causing final diagnosis to be delayed needlessly. In emergency rooms, point-of-care ultrasonography is popular tool since it can quickly & safely diagnose these dyspnea patients while also saving time. The goal of the study had been to determine whether point-of-care ultrasound had been useful in examining cases with acute dyspnea in settings as the main diagnostic tool

Strategic collaboration: Transforming healthcare delivery through physician, nursing, and medical secretarial integration
Redefining healthcare delivery through strategic collaboration is essential, with an emphasis on the integration of doctors, nurses, and medical secretaries. By working together, we hope to improve patient outcomes, reduce medical errors, and create a culture of patient-centered healthcare. The subtleties of interdisciplinary teamwork were discussed, with a focus on respect for one another, good communication, and the importance of recognizing the contributions of each expert. The function of medical assistants was examined, highlighting their emphasis on communication and teamwork. Furthermore, the need to maintain professional relationships in guaranteeing patient safety was emphasized, as were the possible consequences of internal disagreements on patient care. This story emphasizes the importance of seamless integration among healthcare experts in order to manage the complexities of the medical field and maximize the quality of patient care, acknowledging the transformative potential of teamwork
Bacteriological assortment in oral microbiome of postnatal females
In this study, women who had recently given birth were very likely to have dental problems. In girls, 28.1% had dental caries and 27.3% had gingivitis. The number of APOs was also high: LWB was 22.5 percent, PTB was 21.7 percent, and preeclampsia was 11.6%. After giving birth, women with oral problems, poor oral hygiene, or APOs were more likely to have high levels of S. mutans (p0.0001) and S. sobrinus colonisation. Even though S. mutans and S. sobrinus are the most common bacteria that cause cavities, S. mutans was found in only a small number of samples (BK1=0.004%, BK2 and BKC2=0.001%, and BKC1=0.004%) when tested without a culture. Instead, Streptococcus, Yersinia, Haemophilus, Prevotella, Neisseria, Fusobacterium, Gemella, Prevotella, Aggregatibacter, Rothia, Veillonella, Granulicatella, and Actinomyces were found to be most common in females with dental caries and gingivitis. This suggests that these isolates may play a role in causing dental caries. Using the culture-based method, the most common types of bacteria found in the poop of both healthy and postpartum women were Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Enterobacteriaceae, Neisseria, and Lactobacillus. 65.1% of the 267 pregnant women who were tested for Staphylococcus species in culture were found to have it
Role of KI67 in response rate of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in hormonal positive breast cancer
Introduction: A pathological complete response (pCR) after neo-adjuvant chemotherapy indicates that the outlook for individuals with breast cancer is encouraging. identifying factors, for instance the growth biomarker Ki67, that could forecast pCR, can be useful for improving understanding how drug reaction affects outcome. This research aims to evaluate Ki67's prognostic as well as prediction utility in infiltrating breast cancer patients receiving neoadjuvant treatment. Methods: After fixation and embedding, the researchers performed Ki67 staining on core biopsies taken from 552 patients. They also evaluated HER2/neu, oestrogen, progesterone receptors, and graded the samples prior to therapy. They created both univariate and multivariate models to forecast pCR and prognosis using this data. They also divided the tumors into various molecular phenotypes in order to find possible subgroups in which Ki67 could be used to forecast pCR and prognosis. Results: The researchers discovered that Ki67 was a significant autonomous pCR predictor (OR 4; 94.7% CI, 1.3 , 9), overall survival (HR 9; 96% CI, 4 to 21), and survival without illness (HR 3; 96% CI, 2 to 6) utilizing a cut-off value of > 14% positive neoplasic cell staining.

Evaluation of therapeutic effects of aqueous cinnamon extract against obesity associated dysregulation of pituitary-adrenal axis
Obesity is distinguished by unwanted and surplus accumulation of lipids in body principally in adipocytes. Inactive lifestyle and dietary irregularities are considered as premiers among a variety of obesogenic risk factors. Obesity is associated with variations in the concentration of trophic and tropic hormones from pituitary gland affecting different body parts and other endocrine glands including adrenal gland. Current study was design to explore the anti-obesity potential of cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) against high sugar and high fat induced hyper-activity of pituitary-adrenal (PA) axis and obesity. Twenty-five healthy Wistar albino female rats were selected as model animal. Body weight, oral glucose tolerance test, serum cortisol, hematology and histopathological analysis were performed. The high sugar and high fat induced increase in body eight was decline by cinnamon administration. Hematological analysis revealed a significant decreased concentration of RBCs and hemoglobin and increased WBCs and platelet count following sub-acute exposure of high sugar and high fat changes were attenuated by cinnamon. High sugar and fat associated elevated serum cortisol was normalized after cinnamon exposure. Moreover, cinnamon protected the histopathological alterations following high sugar and fat administration, showed protective effects of Cinnamon against obesity associated dysregulation of PA axis and metabolic impairment
