The effectiveness of telehealth for chronic neurological disorders in rural or underserved areas
Background The shortage of neurologists in rural areas limits patient access, making it hard for those with neurological conditions to receive timely care. Long travel distances are a barrier, often resulting in worsened health outcomes. The review aims to assess the current landscape of tele-neurology, examining existing services, evaluating patient outcomes, and identifying challenges and legal concerns. Methods This review brings together insights from multiple studies and programs, with a particular focus on initiatives like the clinical video tele-health (CVT) system created by the Veterans Health Administration, allowing neurologists to deliver direct care to veterans. We also look into the web-based tele-stroke program established by the University of South Carolina, enabling neurologists to oversee acute ischemic stroke patients in rural Emergency Departments in collaboration with local ED physicians. Additionally, we explore global partnerships in telemedicine that are being tailored for tele-neurology. Results Tele-neurology has demonstrated significant potential in delivering quality neurological care, resulting in high patient satisfaction and notable time and cost savings. The TRUST-tPA trial established a tele-stroke network connecting ten community hospital emergency rooms to a centralized stroke center, effectively serving patients unable to reach stroke units within the critical 4.5-hour window.
Family empowerment in midwifery care for pregnant women in compliance with iron tablet consumption
The aim of midwifery care for expectant mothers is to empower families while adhering to iron tablet usage. This exercise is divided into three stages: planning, carrying out, and assessing. Identifying issues that arise at the Bahodopi Health Center, preparing resources, and creating counseling media in the form of Power Point (PPT) illustrated presentations are all part of the preparation stage. Delivering counseling materials on nutrition during pregnancy to pregnant women in order to prevent anemia is part of the implementation stage. Pregnant women's awareness of the information supplied by pre- and post-counseling questionnaires is evaluated at this stage. The findings indicate that prenatal nutrition, anemia, and the connection between nutrition and the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women can all be better understood by pregnant women through the facilitator's coaching. The target's understanding can be increased by providing information about anemia and keeping track of iron supplements. It is hoped that in the future, the community will be able to apply the information gained in a huge and sustainable wa
The effectiveness of prehospital rapid sequence intubation in critically ill patients
Background Tracheal intubation in critically sick patients presents a significant risk of complications attributable to variables such as respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, and drug sensitivity. Present recommendations mostly depend on expert opinion and data from elective intubations, lacking substantial evidence from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in critical care environments (ICU, ED, general wards). This systematic review sought to assess high-quality evidence-based methods for intubation in critically sick patients, concentrating on pharmacological agents, techniques, and equipment. Methods A thorough search of PubMed, BioMed Central, Embase, and the Cochrane Central Register of Clinical Trials found pertinent randomized controlled trials examining treatments aimed at enhancing the success rate and safety of tracheal intubation in critically sick patients. A meta-analysis was conducted when applicable. Results Intubation problems in critically sick patients vary from 4.2% to 39%. Pre-oxygenation by non-invasive ventilation (NIV) has shown enhanced effectiveness over conventional techniques in extending safe apnea duration and minimizing desaturation. Although high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) enhanced comfort, its advantages for apneic oxygenation were restricted in this demographic. Etomidate and ketamine had equivalent safety and effectiveness as sedatives, whilst succinylcholine and rocuronium showed similar success rates as neuromuscular blocking drugs. The sniffing position outperformed the ramping position for laryngoscopy
Healthy behavior between traditional and modern medicine: A field study on a sample of patients in the city of Laghouat, Algeria
In our time, the scope for healthy behavior has expanded due to the rich heritage and inheritance of traditional medicine, which reaches into spirituality and what is not perceptible to the sensitivity on the one hand, On the other hand, there is modern contemporary medicine that relies on advanced machines and detectors, complex chemical preparations, microscopic stem cells, and serums whose future outcomes are unknown. With this enormous expansion, social reality indicates many dissonances and contradictions between them, as the matter worsened with the absence of a hyphen that attempts to unite them, especially with regard to the moral and social dimension of the disease and its organic and vital dimension, and if healthy behavior is based on beliefs and perceptions that aspire to many health and physical benefits in the first place, then it is supposed to be more framing and directing them at the present time, as all this progress is being made. However, social reality emphasizes the increasing severity of health alienation and the emergence of irrational health behaviors.
The role of the university in developing educational implications in society: Health education, environmental education, consumer education, technological education
Given its various roles in scientific research and education across different fields, the university is one of the most critical institutions for social, economic, and cultural development in contemporary societies. It exhibits openness to cultures, languages, and modern sciences. Through this study, we highlight the university's role in enhancing educational dimensions and implications as educational outcomes for students and society, in parallel with scientific research and specialized training. Our theoretical approach focuses on various educational concepts that our societies critically need, reflecting humanistic and cultural standards, such as the environment, governance, and health education, and technological transformation. These implications include environmental education, consumer education, and technological education. We intend to present a set of conclusions and recommendations through this approach
Prevalence of thoracic outlet syndrome among patients visiting physical therapy outpatient department of public sector Tertiary Care Hospitals, Peshawar
The indications and symptoms in the upper extremity brought on by compression of the brachial plexus, subclavian vein, and/or subclavian artery at the thoracic outlet were originally referred to as thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). The symptoms of neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome (NTOS) are caused by compression of the brachial plexus roots as they travel through the thoracic outlet. The most typical symptom of thoracic outlet syndrome is neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome (NTOS). The brachial plexus is compressed and irritated, which causes its symptoms.A cross-sectional study was conducted from March 2023 to June 2023 among patients visiting Physical therapy outpatient department of public sector tertiary care hospitals Peshawar. The DASH questionnaire was distributed to all patients according to inclusion criteria from different hospitals to collect data on the prevalence of thoracic outlet syndrome. The study found that the prevalence of thoracic outlet syndrome was higher in female. The prevalence was higher among female housewives (77.77%) compared to male (63%). Risk factors associated with this pain included improper posture in same position while working, long work durations, repetitive tasks, and restricted neck movements

Conclusion the application of Olive Oil (Olive Oil) to both diaper rash patients can reduce reddish spots, blisters, genital diarrhea and its surroundings. In this study it is hoped that patients can apply Olive Oil as a treatment that can be done alone at home because one of the benefits of olive oil is to reduce red spots, blisters, in the baby's genital area
A review neurofibromatosis type 1: Quality of life of children and adolescents
Neurofibromatosis 1 (NF1) is a rare disease with worldwide impact. It is also known as von Recklinghausen disease and is an autosomal dominant condition caused by mutations of the NF1 gene, which is located at chromosome 17q11.2. NF1 is believed to be completely penetrant, but substantial variability in the expression of features occurs. Diagnosis of NF1 is based on established clinical criteria. The presentation of many of the clinical features is age-dependent. The average life expectancy of patients with NF1 is probably reduced by 10–15 years, and malignancy is the most common cause of death and there is no treatment found yet for NF1. The prevalence of clinically diagnosed NF1 ranges from 1/2,000 to 1/5,000 in most population-based studies. A wide variety of NF1 mutations has been found in patients with NF1, but no frequently recurring mutation has been identified. Most studies have not found an obvious relation between particular NF1 mutations and the resulting clinical manifestations. The variability of the NF1 phenotype, even in individuals with the same NF1 gene mutation, suggests that other factors are involved in determining the clinical manifestations, but the nature of these factors has not yet been determined.
Restorative effects of melatonin on bisphenol a-induced interference of gene expression in hypothalamic pituitary axis following early exposure
Bisphenol-A is a standard monomer used in manufacturing plastics and epoxy resins, and it is widely used in food preservation and packaging. It is an endocrine-disrupting chemical miming the endogenous estradiol hormone. Melatonin regulates sleep-wake cycles and plays essential physiological roles in the body through its antioxidative properties. This research aims to ascertain the impact of Bisphenol A on the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis and determine melatonin's function on possible BPA-induced effects. Six adult male Wistar rats and 12 adult female Wistar rats of proven fertility were bred and organized into groups. These animals were subjected to subcutaneous injections of high and low doses of bisphenol A from postnatal days 0-3, then oral melatonin. The rats were allowed to mature into full-grown adults and euthanized at 120 ±4 days. The serum and hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian tissues were collected for various assays. Compared to the control groups, groups administered varying doses of bisphenol A showed significant overexpression of estrogen and androgen receptors. Administration of Melatonin showed some reversal and reparative effects on damage of the hypothalamic pituitary ovarian axis. Elevated estrogen receptor levels induced by Bisphenol A altered receptor function. Melatonin showed some promising reparative effects
