Role of MRI in staging of prostatic cancer based on PIRADS classification version 2
Background; Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide. Two thirds of prostate cancer cases are diagnosed in the more developed regions of the world. Aim and objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of MRI imaging in staging of prostate cancer based on Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) version 2. Subjects and methods: Thirty male patients were included in our study. They were referred to the department of Radiology, Minia Oncology Center with clinical and pathological diagnosis of prostatic carcinoma during the period extended from January 2019 to January 2021. Results: There was a statistically significant difference between PIRADs 4 and PIRADs 5 lesions as regard patients’ PSA, with higher values among PIRADs 5 cases. There was a statistically highly significant difference between PIRADs 4 and PIRADs 5 lesions as regard patients’ Gleason score, with higher values among PIRADs 5 cases. Conclusion: MRI examination of the prostate gland has a high specificity and sensitivity in primary diagnosis or staging over clinical assessment alone (PSA level and DRE), and other modalities like ultrasound
Assessment of nurses’ knowledge about management of psychiatric patients in emergency unit
The Emergency Department is a fast-paced setting where nurses must deal with crucial situations such as psychologically disturbed patients. Nurses in emergency rooms are frequently presented with patients who exhibit physical symptoms associated with psychiatric disorder, which might impair nurses' ability to make an accurate diagnosis and manage their patients. A descriptive analytic design was conducted on measurement of the Nurses' Knowledge regarding management of psychiatric disorders at emergency units in Babylon governorate for the period of (December 12th, 2021 to march 14th, 2022). The study instrument was designed to meet the objectives of the current study, which was consisting of two parts: the first part includes the demographical data for nurses; the second part includes the knowledge management Scale 32 items (KMS). The results showed that nurses are young with age (27.89±6.291 year) in which 75.8% of them are seen with age group of 20-29 year. The study shows nurses have a good level of knowledge for items related to knowledge about the treatment of psychiatric disorders at emergency units as seen among 89.4%. The study concluded that most nurses have a good level of knowledge ' about the treatment of psychiatric disorders at emergency units
Study of effect of dexamethasone added to lignocaine plus adrenaline in supraclavicular brachial plexus block: A prospective study
Various additives have been employed to extend the brachial plexus block. Dexamethasone, when added to local anesthetic block prolongation with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects has been seen. Therefore, the currentresearch was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of dexamethasone added to lignocaine plus adrenaline in supraclavicular brachial plexus blockfor patients experiencing upper limb orthopedic surgeries. Total 80 patients were enrolled and randomly categorized into two groups of 40 individual in each. Group I (Control group) received Inj. Lignocaine 1.5% plus adrenaline (1:200000) max safe dose of 7mg/kg+ NS- 2ml while group II (Dexa group) received Inj. Lignocaine 1.5% plus adrenaline (1:200000) max safe dose of 7mg/kg + Inj. Dexamethasone - 2ml (8mg). Total volume in each group ranged between 25-32ml considering the patients individual body weight. Block characteristics, duration and quality of analgesia in the post-operative period were noted. Dexamethasone hastens the onset and prolonged the duration of motor and sensory blockade. The mean duration of postoperative analgesia was prolonged till 8th hour in the dexamethasone group while in the control group it was continued till 3hrs, the role of rescue analgesia commenced after 3rd hour
A co-relation study in analyzing and reviewing employees’ performance based on 1800, BARS and weighted average method: Case of MGCH Hospital-Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India
This study aims to find the need of performance evaluation by assessing probationer’s attitude for performance improvement and correlation between self-scores and evaluator scores. Performance appraisal is a formal assessment tool to regularly review employee’s job performance and overall contribution to the organization. The study was conducted in the form of questionnaire (i.e., performance evaluation form). Appropriate methods for preparing the evaluation were identified to cover all the aspects of the Probationers’ skills. 46 probationers were identified from 13 departments. Findings were generated with the help of statistical tools such as Karl Pearson coefficient of correlation and MS Excel. 24 out of 46 participants were designated with permanent position and remaining was given Performance Improvement Plan and next review will be taken for them after 6 months. Also, the moderately positive relation was found between self-scores and evaluators scores. The correlation exists but not a perfect correlation

Assessment of allograft and bioresorbable xenograft in immediate implant placement
Background: Use of grafts helps in healing and successful outcome of immediate dental implants. Materials & Methods: The study comprised a total of twenty four individuals in the age groupbetween 20 and 56 years with at least one tooth indicated for extraction. The twenty four subjects were divided into two groups; Group Aallograft with implant and Group B-xenograft with implant. The participantswere evaluated both clinically (plaque, probing depth) and radiographically for 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. The level ofsignificance was set at P < 0.05. Results: Xenograft in immediate implant site showed excellent osseointegration around the immediate implant site. However, the difference between the groups was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Both synthetic allograft and bioresorbable xenograft are promising and equally potential in bone formation around the immediate implant site

The effect lanolin extract and vaseline with glycerine mixture to treatment by affecting of IL-4 and IL-13 level in induced eczema in rats
The goal of this study was to assess the healing effectiveness of lanoline (also known as wool waxes or wool grease), an oil compound released by skin sebaceous glands for sheep that possesses characteristics against microbial, inflammation, as well as protecting properties for skin. It also has an excellent moisturizing function. The determination of Interleukin-4 and Interleukin-13, it can be determined due to the accumulation of inflammatory cells in the affected area that signal the production of Interleukin-4 and Interleukin-13 in cases of eczema. Both the increase in IL-4 and IL-13, Reduces synthesis of essential structural proteins such as filaggrin and lipid components required for effective skin barrier activities, resulting in increased trans epidermal water loss, which is commonly observed and expected in eczema. The study showed a significant increase in the eczema and glycerine group for 24 hours for both IL-4 and IL-13, where there was a slight decrease in the 24-hour lanolin group compared to the control group as well as between groups
Genetic polymorphisms in interleukin-17A were associated with typhoid fever in Babylon City in Iraq
A total of 50 clinical samples were taken from the blood of typhoid fever patients who visited Al-Hillah Surgical Teaching Hospital and private laboratories in the AL-Hillah/Babylon region between February and August 2021. This research included 50 people who looked to be healthy and disease-free. Genotypes and allele frequency for rs1974226 showed individuals with two T alleles (homozygous for the TT) were significantly represented among the patients with typhoid fever: 14 (28%), P-value = 0.0061, as compared with healthy control subjects, 6 (12%), and had an increased risk of developing typhoid fever infection. The IL-17A (C) allele was less frequent among patients (62%, n =62) than control, and the (T) allele was more frequent among patients than control (38%, n =38). Genotypes and allele frequency for rs1974226 showed individuals with genotype TT were significantly represented among the patients with typhoid fever: 14 (28%), P-value = 0.0061, as compared with healthy control subjects, 6 (12%), and had an increased risk of developing typhoid fever infection. The data has been further examined for each genotype correlated with typhoid fever under different inheritance models
