Effects of 6 session on dry needling and conventional physiotherapy in hemiplegic individuals: A pilot study
Myofacial trigger points and other pain syndromes can be treated with dry needling (DN), a therapeutic technique. There is still a dearth of evidence supporting the use of DN with functional assessment in neurological diseases. This pilot study investigated the effects of DN on hemiplegic patients' spasticity and static balance. 10 chronic stroke survivors (>3 months onset) were included in a single group pilot study. The Modified Tardieu scale and the Modified Ashworth scale (MAS) were used to measure spasticity. The Berg balance scale was used to evaluate balance (BBS). These stroke patients underwent conventional physiotherapy along with 6 DN sessions for spastic soleus muscle over the course of two weeks on alternate days. Results were evaluated before and after the six sessions. Pre- and post-analysis of the MAS, Modified Tardieu scale, and BBS are conducted using the Unpair t Test. All 3 outcome indicators experienced a substantial improvement (p 0.05). The resistance to passive movements from the plantar flexor muscles decreased, and MAS showed progress from Grade 3 to 1+. The Tardieu scale revealed a 12 degree improvement in ankle ranges. The Berg balance scale score climbed by 7 and stroke patients' balance dramatically improved.
Microencapsulation of celecoxib using various methods and polymers
Microencapsulation is a process in which active substances are coated by extremely small capsules. It is a new technology that has been used in the cosmetics industry as well as in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and food industries, being used in flavours, acids, oils, vitamins, microorganisms, among others. This paper provides an UpToDate review of different microencapsulation methods and polymers used specifically for Celecoxib drug. As Celecoxib is poorly soluble in water, there are several methods used to improve solubility and bioavailability using various polymers. The different microencapsulation methods along with different polymers were studied and given a comprehensive review. There are several NSAIDs which are used for pain management and Celecoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute pain, painful menstruation, and menstrual symptoms. There are many techniques available that can be used to fabricate microcapsules based on desired characteristics, and applications of the final microcapsule formulation. For Celecoxib microencapsulation, Spray drying techniques are widely used method for the research studies. some of the advantages of spray-drying include its ability to be fully automated and continuous
MRI brain tumor early detection, classification and performance evaluation using KFCM and SVM
A tumor-infected brain is a dreadful illness. It is an area in the brain caused by cell development irregularity. An infected brain area might be challenging to identify and categorize using the MR imaging approach. Images of human brain anatomy are resulted using various imaging methods. Strange brain compositions are difficult to detect using standard image processing methods. MRI differentiates and explains the human neurological design. This research proposed an analytical method for detecting brain tumors. As a result, the brain tumor early diagnosis technique is crucial for reducing mortality rates. We propose a computer-aided radiology system that will analyze brain tumors from MRI data to diagnosis. We constructed a model that uses FCM and Kernel FCM to segment the MRI images and DWT to extract features and the SVM network to classify tumors
Evaluation of effectiveness of ginkgo biloba aqueous extract on some physiological parameters and cerebrum tissue in male albino rats treated with aluminum chloride
The current study aims to know the protective role of the aqueous extract of the Ginkgo biloba against cerebrum damage induced by Aluminum chloride (AlCl3) in male rats. 40 adult male rats were used, which were randomly divided into four equal groups (10 animals/group), the first group (G1) administered 1 ml/kg of tap water, the second group (G2) administered 10 mg / kg of AlCl3, the third group (G3) was administered 10 mg/kg of aqueous extract of the Ginkgo biloba ,while the fourth group animals (G4) were administered 10 mg/kg of AlCl3 and 10 mg/kg of Ginkgo biloba aqueous extract orally and daily for 30 days. Fasting blood samples were collected after the end of the experiment to study the following parameters: concentration of soluble acetylcholinesterase AChE(G1), membrane bound acetylcholinesterase AChE (G4), Neuronal Mitochondrial ATPase (Nmit ATPase), Cytochrome C oxidase (COX) , Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α). The results showed that oral administration of AlCl3 caused significant increase (P<0.05) in the concentration of AChE (G1), TNF-α, and significant decrease (P<0.05) in the concentration of AChE (G4), Nmit ATPase and COX compared with the control group
Human behavior: A perspective on the analysis of driver management of conventional vehicles and electric vehicles
The purpose of the study was to analyze the driver management of conventional vehicles and listic vehicles from a human behavior perspective. Research design uses quantitative descriptive with a post-positivism approach. The study sample was drivers who used conventional vehicles and drivers who used electric cars which amounted to 133 respondents. Data sources use primary data and skunders. The results of the study explained that conventional vehicle drivers are more self-interested due to habitual factors, as well as drivers in electric vehicles, also have the same thoughts, this is due to habitual factors. However, there is a noticeable difference that is when viewed from economic factors, namely in the aspect of fuel expenditure, prestice and smarter design
Preparation and evaluation of modified herbal “Kumkum Powder” to reduce allergic reactions
Sindoor is the mark of a married women in Hinduism. Along the parting-line of a woman's hair (also called mang in Hindi or simandarekha in Sanskrit) or as a dot on the forehead. While in Hinduism, sindoor is the sign of married women. Single women use bindis in a variety of colours for special events, but they do not use sindoor in their hairline parting. Sindoor is the sign of married women in hinduism. A wide prevalence of socio-religious practices in the Asian subcontinent develops multiple skin diseases which may missed by dermatologist because of lack of awareness. So there is need to develop natural products. ‘Kumkum’ application can result in pigmented contact dermatitis and lichen planus pigmentosus. Sticker ‘bindis’ and ‘alta’ induce contact leukoderma. Irritant and allergic contact dermatitis occurs due to synthetic dyes. Synthetically prepared sindoor unsafe levels of lead which may cause irritation to the skin herbal sindoor has active natural pigments which deliver intense colour that does not that find fade as the day wear on. The herbal sindoor stays for long period without any irritation
Upper mini-sternotomy versus right anterior mini-thoracotomy for Aoric valve replacement
Background: Because of the continuous trend towards less invasive procedures, cardiac operations have become increasingly more sophisticated and complex minimally invasive techniques in cardiac operations require higher surgical abilities to accomplish the same quality compared with the traditional procedures with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) or sternotomy. Objective: To compare the procedure and early postoperative outcome of minimally invasive approaches, limited upper ministernotomy approach with the right anterior minithoracotomy approach. Patients and Methods: Fifty patients with aortic valve disease randomized in this study and divided into two equal groups, and randomly assigned into two equal groups; Group A Ministernotomy group requiring aortic valve surgery. The surgical approach was through the limited upper ministernotomy (6-8cm). Group B Minithoracotomy group requiring aortic valve surgery through right anterior minithoracotomy(5-7cm). Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the cross-clamp time, total bypass time, total operation time. Regarding the length of the skin incision. The mechanical ventilation time was similar, the blood loss and the blood transfusion required was also similar, as well as the ICU stay, as regard postoperative pain, total hospital stay, and the pakage cost effective there was no statistically significant difference in both groups.

Traditional medicine in Hindu worship of Tamil’s perspectives: A review
The paper deals on the facts related to the traditional medicine in Hindu Worship of Tamil people. It is common to see among the people of Tamil Nadu certain religious beliefs and practices that they universally share. Beliefs have a spiritual meaning based on sentiments, emotions, philosophy or related cultural traditions. Traditional medicine such as Siddha and Ayurveda reflect herbal plant and food as medicine. The main slogan of this traditional medicine is preventions of disease, rather than its cure. Practice of traditional medicine very importantly from country to country, and from region to region, as they are influenced by factors like culture, history, personal attitude and philosophy. In various cases, their philosophies and submissions are quiet, different from those of conventional medicine. Including knowledge passed on from generation to generation, has demonstrated the safely and efficacy of traditional medicine
Evaluation of dry eye status in diabetes mellitus and its relation with diabetic retinopathy
Eyes popularly called as windows of mind and body acts as a camera, almost the sole function of which is vision for which not mere the presence but good optical function of cornea is important for which hormonal relation between tear film and cornea plays a vital role. Patient with Diabetes mellitus attending the outpatient department and admitted in department of ophthalmology V.S.S Medical College and Hospital, Burla during the period of June 2006 to June 2008 were included in the study. Patients were evaluated clinically over 2yr under slit lamp during each visit. Dry eye score had a good correlation with diabetic retinopathy and photocoagulation (P < 0.01), but was poorly correlated with age, gender, insulin, duration of diabetes mellitus, and metabolic control (P > 0.05)
