The research method was descriptive correlational studies. The statistical population of the study was Iraqi nursing students and a sample of 200 students was selected as a class from the research community. The face validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by psychologists, exploratory factor analysis was used to determine factor validity and Cronbach's alpha method was used to assess the internal validity of the questions. Factor analysis of the questions showed that this scale has three factors: epistemic doubt, epistemic volition and resolution strategies. In total, these three factors can explain 65.25% of the variance in the changing of epistemic beliefs and have a good fit. According to the obtained results, this questionnaire can be used as a valid tool to assess the changing of epistemological beliefs

    Get PDF
Safety culture encompasses the knowledge, procedures and practices that are shared by the actors of an organization regarding the control of risks related to its activities. In the hospital environment, the introduction of a safety culture in the care services is still not very evident. Generally, it is focused on the patient, even though health professionals are also constantly exposed to various risks. Indeed, the infectious risk secondary to blood exposure accidents constitutes a serious threat to the health of healthcare professionals. This requires improvements in the knowledge and attitudes of the safety culture by all operational and management staff in hospitals. The aim of this work is to study the knowledge and attitudes of health professionals regarding the safety culture towards blood exposure accidents, using a questionnaire that will allow to evaluate the perception of safety in a Moroccan hospital

The current research aims to identify the extent to which the physics teachers of the preparatory stage are familiar with the skills of formal thinking. The validity and reliability of the scale, and the current research community was determined by physics teachers for the preparatory stage in Al-Qadisiyah Governorate for the academic year 2021-2022 AD, as the random sampling method was used in selecting physics teachers. The results showed that the arithmetic mean of the teachers’ scores in the formal thinking skills scale (117,54), and a standard deviation of (12,779), and to find out the significance of the difference between the arithmetic mean of the teachers’ scores and the hypothetical mean of the scale of (111) the researcher used the T-test for one sample, T-test sample and the results showed that the calculated t-value is equal to (5,121) and it is greater than the tabular t-value, which is equal to (1.96) at a degree of freedom (99) and at a significance level (0.05), which indicates that there is a statistically significant difference between the arithmetic mean and the hypothetical average.&nbsp

Infertility is defined as a condition in which a woman cannot conceive after 12 months of a normal sexual relationship without the use of contraception. The study aimed to evaluate hypothyroidism prevalence, thyroid and pituitary gland hormones assessment in infertile women's serum, and their correlation in Basra, Iraq. The research was conducted at Ibn-Gzouan Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology in Basra, southern Iraq, between October 2021 and March 2022. In our research, 28 infertile women with hypothyroidism, 30 infertile women without hypothyroidism, and 30 fertile women aged 18 to 45 were studied. Our research found that infertile hypothyroid women had greater TSH and PRL levels than fertile women, but lower T3 and T4 levels. Without hypothyroidism, infertile women exhibited greater PRL, cortisol, and LH levels than fertile women, but lower IGF-1 levels. T4 and T3 levels (r=0.640), LH, and LH/FSH ratio(r=0.536) correlated positively in hypothyroid infertile women. TSH and T4 levels (r = -0.514) and FSH and LH/FSH ratio (r =-0.481) correlated negatively. T4 and T3 levels, LH, and LH/FSH were positively correlated (r = 0.666) in infertile women without hypothyroidism. TSH was negatively correlated with T4 (r = -0.547) and T3 (r = -0.580)

The aim of the random group experimental study was to find the effect of yoga therapy with sattvic diet on endometrial thickness among reproductive girls suffering with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. To achieve the purpose of the study, 45 were screened using Rotterdam Criteria and 30 were finally selected randomly by using randomized control sampling method. It was hypothesised that there would be significant differences on endometrial thickness due to yoga therapy with Sattvic Diet than the control group. The subjects (30) were divided into an experimental group (Yoga Therapy with Sattvic Diet) and control group of 15 subjects each. Experimental group was imparted training for 24 weeks, six days a week and the control group was in active rest with their regular activities. The pre-test and post-test were conducted before and after the intervention for the experimental and control group and the scores on endometrial thickness was measured. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to find out the significant differences among the groups.&nbsp
