A study on the caregivers' burden and social support among primary caregivers of kidney recipients
Caring for a person who is undergoing a serious health problem or in the state of recovering from a health issue is a tiresome task for any other individual. Most people who take care of such people are close family members. They have to spend a potential proportion of their day/time with the patients by helping them in all aspects, including medication, personal care, and hygiene. The care process brings potential psychological and physical health issues to the caregivers, especially the primary caregiver, who is supposed to spend most of the time with the patients. In the currently available literature, it is evident that primary caregivers undergo severe psychological and psychosocial issues. The case is crucial in the context of the caregivers of organ recipients. In this context, the present study explored the social support and caregiving burden of primary caregivers of kidney recipients. The study was conducted among the primary care givers of kidney recipients from kidney patient associations in northern Kerala. The total sample of the present study was a hundred. The data was collected through interviews using two standardized scales
The family preparedness of children in dealing with a flood disaster in Paupanda II Village, Wewaria sub-district of Ende Regency Indonesia
Background: For almost ten years Wewaria Village, Wewaria sub-district of Ende Regency suffered a flood disaster. The flood occurred in 2008, 2012, and 2016. Paupanda II Village has a puddle up to one and a half meter every year. Flood emergencies can cause family panic in rescuing themselves or their children under five. Children are a vulnerable group in the health sector because they cannot help themselves, when floods. If family preparedness is low, then the child’s health threatened, increasing the child’s morbidity or mortality rate. Purpose: This study explains or explore the experience of family preparedness who have children under five dealing with floods. Method: it used Purposive sampling in selecting the first informant then using snow ball sampling for the next informant. The number of samples is 9 people taken from a family of 6 people, 2 policy stakeholders, and 1 health worker. The qualitative analysis used is triangulation of data sources. Results: Family knowledge is well, but preparedness is still low for children needs, flood early warning, flood emergency response preparedness, and resource mobilization deal with floods.
Study of the physiochemical and sensory properties of milk protein gel manufactured by adding phosphate salts
The structural and sensory properties of milk gel with added phosphate salt (di and triple) were studied at a concentration of (10.12.5.15.20) mM. Sensory studies showed that the gels were acceptable at a salt concentration of 12.5 mM, which gave the gel better properties. Induced by calcium prepared by heating skim milk by adding 13.5 mm M of calcium chloride at a temperature of 75 m to 95 m of diphosphate salts of phosphate trisulfate. Spontaneous whey exudation decreased, gel strength and water holding capacity increased during storage at 5 ° C for 14 days. Adding sugar and flavours did not affect formation of the gels but increased their sensory scores
Blended learning approach for teaching cardiac disorders on nursing students’ learning outcomes

It was a double-blinded study. Results: SPSS 21.0 was used for data analysis. There were statistically significant differences between groups in skills and clinical decision-making but not in knowledge. Conclusion: Blended Learning is an effective method to improve learning outcomes of nursing students regarding management of cardiac disorders
Psychological repercussions of COVID-19 in optometry occupation
Background: Optometry being a profession which requires a close examination of the patient, there is a very significant danger of viral transmission while using diagnostic equipment in the field. The impact on psychological health is not limited to the covid risk factors. Despite these dangers, relatively few researches have been done to truly assess how the COVID-19 second wave has affected Indian optometrists. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the COVID-19 second wave's psychological effects on Indian optometrists. Materials and Techniques in this cross-sectional study, the PHQ-9 questionnaire was used to gauge the psychological health of 203 Indian optometrists. Results: According to this study, 203 optometrists who took part in it showed signs of depression in varying degrees: 34.5 percent mild, 20.7 percent moderate, 8.4 percent moderately severe and 0.9 percent severe. Conclusions: In the conclusion, it is fairly shown that a sizable proportion of optometrists in India were mentally impacted by COVID-19 second wave
Effect of zinc and clomiphene citrate on seminal fluid parameter in subfertile male
Subfertility is a universal, general problem of male and females factor. Zinc is one of the most important trace mineral, that plays an essential and necessary role in sperm generation and normal, physiological male reproduction. Pituitary Gonadotropins (FSH) and (LH) are basic for reproduction, FSH is a crucial role for sperm production and LH energize synthesis and production of testosterone Hormone. Currently, the most common therapy used in case of male subfertility clomiphene citrate, the study show significant increase in semen parameter and hormonal status after treatment with zinc 50 mg once/day and clomiphene citrate 50 mg twice/day for at least 2- 3 months. The aim of this research is. To evaluate the role of the zinc and clomiphene citrate on male subfertility case
Pathophysiological study of atorvastatin drug on toxicity induced by D-galactose in liver of experimental rats
Background: This study was designed to clarify the toxic effect of a high dose of atorvastatin and the palliative effect of low doses of atorvastatin on toxicity induced by D-galactose in the liver, kidney, and adrenal gland organs. The current study was conducted on 36 healthy adult male Wistar albino rats (Rattus norvegicus) who were sexually mature at the age of 8-10 weeks and weighed between 200 and 250 grams in the animal house of Pharmacy College/ Basrah University. Methods: These rats were selected and divided into six main groups of equal weight, each with six rats. The first group (control) was drenched in (1) mL of normal saline. The second group was drenched in a single dose of atorvastatin (150 mg per kg B.W), the third received D-galactose at a dose of (500 mg per kg B.W), and the fourth group was treated with both D-galactose and atorvastatin (10 mg per kg B.W), the fifth group was coadministered with both D-galactose and atorvastatin (20 mg per kg B.W), and the sixth group where rats cotreated with Dgalactose and atorvastatin (40 mg per kg B.W). The treatment was extended for 8 weeks
Estimation of serum calcium and phosphorus levels in male cataract patients: A case control study
Introduction: Cataract is vision-impairing disease marked by incremental, progressive lens thickening. The lens is composed of G-protein receptors that are linked to intracellular calcium release. Through the activation of calcium dependent proteases, elevated calcium levels can indicate metabolic disturbances and cell component disruption. The Na+-K+ ATPase pump’s activity in maintaining a low cytoplasm Ca2+ concentration increases calcium levels significantly, causing rapid lens fibre breakdown, uncontrolled protein breakdown, cell swelling, and opacification. Phosphorus is involved in membrane permeability of the lens. The objective of the present study was to estimate and compare the serum calcium and phosphorus levels in males diagnosed with cataract and without cataract. Methodology: A total of 110 subjects were studied, of which 55 were diagnosed cataract patients and 55 were controls with no signs of cataract on ophthalmologic examination. Serum calcium and phosphorus were estimated. The obtained data was analysed statistically. Independent t test was used to associate the parameters. Results: In our study we found significantly increased levels of serum calcium in cataract patients (p<0.05) as compared to controls. Serum phosphorus concentration in cataract patients (p<0.05) was significantly increased as compared to controls.
An analysis of ruptured amoebic liver abscess
Introduction: Amoebic liver abscess (ALA) is the most commonly seen extra intestinal manifestation of Entamoeba infection.[1] Out of which, a rare complication of amoebic liver abscess is rupture of liver abscess. We report 43 cases of ruptured amoebic liver abscess coming with acute abdomen which were operated at Department of Surgery, Dhiraj general hospital, Vadodara from January 2020 to December 2021. Surgical treatment in these cases should be carried out in a timely fashion prior to the presentation of systemic repercussions or death. result: Out of all patients, 37 patients were male and 6 were female and 37 patients were chronic alcoholic. The mean age was 47 years. At presentation, most cases had clinical signs of generalized peritonitis. Ultrasonography for collection in peritoneal cavity showed moderate free fluid with internal echoes suggestive of pyoperitoneum. Out of which 09 patients had free air under the diaphragm. All 43 patients underwent resuscitation and then shifted for surgery. All underwent exploratory laparotomy for ruptured liver abscess. Intraoperatively, 05 patients had a single abscess in the right lobe, 06 had abscess in both lobes of liver and 33 had multiple abscesses in right lobe.
A survey on NLP based automatic extractive text summarization using spacy
Automatic abstraction of text is considered one of the most difficult problems because mathematically there is no real way to test a summary but one can distinguish between the appropriate summary. Also, abbreviations may be of a variety of abstractive forms in which new phrases and terms are used, in contrast Extractive form in which scoring sentences from enter textual content gets extracted as a summary sentence. The growing discovery of online facts has necessitated extensive research within the region of automated text within the Natural language processing (NLP). Over the course of the year, researchers worked on them in many domains. Therefore, the survey plans to look at the number of commonly used processes within single-line and multi-line summaries, providing unique emphasis on real-world approaches and clear strategies. Some well-known techniques that focus on specific information of the default summary are mentioned
