Online employee performance management system
The “Online employee performance management system” aims to design a framework system for a working community. But, these projects of planning the various tasks whether they might be private or official, may lead to a problem if it is not maintained properly. The mailing process in companies may lead to loss of time management in searching for the required information and potentially cause information overload. Online Employee Performance Management System is a distributed application, created to keep up with the information and details of employees working in any association. It keeps up with the data about the individual task execution of their employees. The application is a set-up of utilizations created utilizing PHP. It is easy to comprehend and can be utilized by any individual who isn't even acquainted with an employee’s framework. It is easy to use and simply requests that the client follow bit-by-bit tasks by giving a few choices. It is quick and can perform numerous tasks for an organization or association. The project has been created utilizing the strong coding devices of HTML, CSS, and PHP at Front End and Microsoft SQL Server at Back End. The application is very easy to use.
Comparison of three doses of intrathecal fentanyl (15 mcg, 20 mcg and 25 mcg) for labour analgesia
Background and Objectives: Intrathecal fentanyl provides rapid profound analgesia in labouring parturients in the dose range of 10-50 mcg. Therefore, this study was taken up to compare the effects of three different doses of intrathecal fentanyl (15mcg, 20mcg and 25mcg) with regards to onset and duration of analgesia and to find the effective and safe dosage of the drug for labour analgesia. Materials and Methods: A comparative double blinded RCT was performed on 90 term multigravida parturients after obtaining approval from Institutional Ethical Committee. They were divided randomly into three groups (Groups A, B and C) with 30 parturients each. At cervical dilatation of 3-5cm, they received intrathecal fentanyl 15mcg, 20mcg or 25mcg respectively. In all groups, variables such as HR, SBP, DBP and MBP, SpO2, pain assessment by VAS and sedation score by RSS were recorded at different points during the course of labour and mode of delivery and APGAR score was noted after the delivery of the baby. Results: The demographic data was comparable between the groups. The mean duration of onset of analgesia was 13+/-1 min, 9+/-1min and 5+/-1 min in groups A, B and C respectively.

Comparison of intranasal dexmedetomidine and midazolam as premedication on haemodynamic stability: A teaching hospital based study in Kerala
Background: Premedication in pediatric population helps to produce a relaxed state with reduced anxiety and increased. These pre-medications, midazolam and dexmedetomidine are effectively used as sedatives. The present study was planned to compare intranasal dexmedetomidine with intranasal midazolam as a pre-anesthetic medication in children. Fear of unpleasant and painful procedures, separation from parents and unwillingness to breathe through an anaesthesia face mask may produce stormy anaesthetic induction in unpremeditated patients. Because of this premedication should be an integral part of paediatric anaesthetic practice. Aims and Objectives: To evaluate the Intranasal administration of Midazolam and Dexmedetomidine as Premedication on Haemodynamic Stability among Paediatric Patients. Material & Methods: This Comparative study was carried out at Department of Anaesthesiology, P K DAS Institute of Medical Sciences, Vaniamkulam, Ottapalam Kerala, India . A total of 70 Paediatric Patients of both sex age group between 1- 5 year from the routine surgical list of our Hospital were included in the study. The children were divided into two groups i.e. 35 in each based on the premedication received and by random allotted numbers
Randomized double blind comparison of ketamine – propofol and fentanyl – propofol for the insertion of laryngeal mask airway in children
The ideal combination that provides smooth insertion conditions with minimal side effects has not been identified, particularly in children. In this study, 70 children of age 3-12 years are divided randomly into 2 groups: Group 1-Group-F-Fentanyl (n=35) received Fentanyl 2μg/kg and Group 2-Group –K- Ketamine (n=35) received Ketamine 0.5mg/kg before induction of anaesthesia. Baseline heart rate and arterial blood pressure were measured. Vital parameters (Heart rate and Arterial Blood Pressure) were measured before induction, before LMA insertion and thereafter at 1, 3 and 5 minutes after LMA insertion. Ideal LMA insertion conditions were evaluated with six variables by blinded observer: mouth opening, gagging, head and limb movements, laryngospasm and resistance to insertion. Also the apnoea time was noted. The incidence of head/limb movements was statistically significant and Group Propofol – Ketamine showed 22% compared to Fentanyl-Propofol group (2.8%) Coughing/gagging was seen in 2.86% of both the groups. Resistance to insertion was statistically significant with p value of 0.0268 showing more in Propofol + Ketamine. There was no statistical significance in the occurrence of restricted mouth opening, restriction to LMA insertion and occurrence of swallowing between the two groups
