Atrial fibrillation in pregnancy: An Anaesthetic predicament
Developing countries with higher prevalence of RHD encounter cases of AF in pregnancy. Szekely et al reported new onset of AF in 8% of pregnant patients with RHD.1 Dilatation of LA, elevated LA pressure and myocardial stretch due to mitral valve disease results in slow conduction velocities, increased dispersion of refractoriness and automaticity leading to AF. Occurrence is common in third trimester due to Increased HR, cardiac output, heart size, plasma volume, wall tension and decreased SVR. AF intensifies hemodynamic changes and predisposes to heart failure.

Effect of silver nanoparticle on properties of maxillofacial silicone elastomer material: An original research
Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of silver nanoparticle incorporation into maxillofacial silicone material on its hardness tear strength and color stability. Methodology: A total of 90 silicone specimens were fabricated. The control samples were fabricated with- out silver nanoparticles and test samples were fabricated with 20 ppm concentration of silver nanoparticles. Digital shore A hardness tests was used to measure hardness, for tear strength the specimen was placed in the jaws of the universal testing machine and stretched at a rate of 500 ram/rain, for color stability Spectrophotometer had been employed. The independent sample’s “t” test was used to test significant differences. Results: The mean difference for hardness between control and test group was 0.54 and t value was 2.08 and ( p < 0.05).tear strength 0.66 and “t”value was 0.93 and ( p < 0.05) and for color stability it was -0.02 and t value was -0.92 and ( p < 0.05). Conclusion: The present study findings suggest that addition of silver nanoparticles at 20 ppm concentration decreased the hardness of silicone elastomer, and it did not affect tear strength and color stability
Study on handwriting features of ambidextrous persons by using image processing
Handwriting Features of Ambidextrous Persons have been classified as a multi-class classification issue in the deep learning framework, where image recognition task is effectively to test a classifier who can efficiently discriminate each line of paragraph of handwriting. This is very common for a single classifier to be performed on different data sets with a standard deep learning algorithm. It may also be that the same classifying system performs differently with highly differing image instances due to the various manuscript styles of various people on the same numbers. In order to address this problem, it was crucial to develop ensemble learning approaches to enhance overall effectiveness and make the performance highly stable in various data sets. In this text, we are proposing a system involving the CNN-based removal of the data set from an image and algebraic fusion of various words in images to classifies for trained in different sets of edges, which are prepared by means of feature selection applied to the original CNN feature set. Experimental results show that a fusion of classification images can achieve a descriptive word
Evaluation of bronchial inflammatory response via expression of NF-κB & IL-1β in mice airways by TAK-242 and LPS administration: Targeting TLR4/MD2 signalling pathway
Optimization of animal model of asthma via toll like receptors-4 (TLR4) activation for bacterial exacerbation of asthma. LPS contributes to asthma exacerbations. Ovalbumin protein sensitization & challenge were examined after LPS exposure. Present research aimed, TLR4 stimulation mediated TLR4/MD2 complex formation is inhibited by TAK-242, a newer compound, for bacterial asthma management in a mouse model. Swiss Albino mice were induced with OVA (10µg, i.p. and 50 µg, i.n.) and LPS (20 µg, i.p. and 4 µg, i.n.), stimulates TLR4 receptor mediated TLR4-MD2 complex formation in toxic groups. Animals were sensitized (i.p.) on 0, 7th and 14th day and challenged (i.n.) followed by TAK-242 treatment (0.1 mg/kg, 1 mg/kg &10 mg/kg i.p.) given on 21st and 22nd days, followed by euthanasia and samples; BALF and lung tissue were collected on 23rd day. Further analysis such as total leukocyte count & differential leukocyte cell count, lung histopathology & immunohistochemistry of NF-κB, proteins like Interleukin-1β in BALF and lungs in toxic, treatment groups in comparison with control group were carried out. TAK-242 reduced TLC/DLC values in BALF, including eosinophil, neutrophil, lymphocyte, macrophage counts, lung histological alterations and immunohistochemical positivity of NF-κB and IL-1β proteins expression.
Influence of progestin use on the IL-10 level in peritoneal endometriosis
Purpose: How can progestin influence the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 level in the peritoneum with endometriosis? Methods: A cross-sectional study with a laboratory analysis carried out in tertiary hospitals in southern Brazil with clinical-demographic data compilation and sample collection of peritoneal lavage and a peritoneum biopsy from 40 patients — 22 with endometriosis (11 with progestin and 11 without it) and 18 in the control group — was conducted. For the sample analysis, the ELISA was performed, and a comparison of the average IL-10 concentrations by ANOVA followed by Bonferroni was carried out. Results: There was a higher concentration of IL-10 among patients with endometriosis compared to the control group (p ≤ 0.05), and statistical significance was observed with a reduction of IL-10 in the peritoneal lavage of patients with endometriosis in the use of progestin (8.1 ± 7.4 pg/ml) compared to those with endometriosis without using progestin (17.9 ± 10.5 pg/ml). Considering the disease stage, a higher level of IL-10 (p ≤ 0.05) was observed both in the initial stages (12.1 ± 10.5 pg/ml) and in advanced stages (15.4 ± 9.7 pg/ml) compared to the control (1.7 ± 1.8 pg/ml), which was significantly higher for advanced endometriosis
TQM implementation and higher educational institutions’ performance from a Libyan perspective
The key to success and sustainability in higher education institutions in maintaining a higher level of quality. Over the past two decades, the higher education system has been evolving in this dynamic context. Extreme obstacles are imposed not just on the graduates, but also on the educational institutions, due to the stakeholders' extremely high expectations of them. Not only can poor administration in higher education institutions harm its graduates, but it also has a negative effect on the economy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the key elements influencing the application of TQM in higher education institutions. A comprehensive literature study focusing on TQM theories and numerous empirical experiments was done. This study identified the four most significant characteristics that influence the application of TQM in educational institutions based on a survey of the relevant literature. This study generates a standardised questionnaire based on earlier research and distributes it to numerous Libyan higher education institutions. 373 respondents out of 500 responded during the two-month period. Several statistical methods, including Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling, were utilised to evaluate the hypothesis.
Gauging the correlation between anthropometric measurements to birth weight in subjects of urban lower socioeconomic status in Mumbai
Background: Birth weight is largely influenced by the mother's parity, gender of the baby, conceptus number, and maternal environment. The heavier weight is seen for male babies at full-term compared to females, in singleton compared to twins, and in later-born compared to the first baby. Low-weight babies are seen in mothers of lower socioeconomic status. In urban lower socioeconomic group females, the closest correlation is seen with neonatal calf circumference. Aim: The present study was conducted to perceive the anthropometric parameters that have the best correlation with the birth weight in the urban lower socioeconomic population of Mumbai. Methods: From the post-natal ward of Sir JJ group of hospital and Cama hospital, 200 newborns who were normal-delivered, newborns, singletons, born to females with no history of infections like tuberculosis, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus were assessed. In 200 included subjects, anthropometric parameters and birth weight were assessed. Results: Good correlation was seen in both females and males between birth weight and calf circumference, thigh circumference, mid-arm circumference, and abdominal circumference. However, poor correlation in females and good correlation in males was seen in chest circumference, head circumference, and crown to heel length
