Ultrasonographic estimation of gestation age and growth pattern of foetuses in second trimester of pregnancy by multiple growth parameters
Background and Aim- Fetal biometry rely on racial segment attributes, sustenance, hereditary qualities, and a lot more on ecological elements of a specific populace. Therefore, this study aimed to assess various fetal parameter and to establish a regression equation to predict the gestational age (GA) of pregnant women among the population of Western Maharashtra. Methodology- A descriptive, prospective study was conducted on 420 pregnant women in their second trimester (i.e. 14 to 27 weeks of gestation). Thirty women from each week of gestation were studied by ultrasonography for estimation of GA of the fetus. Various parameters such as biparietal diameter (BPD), femur length (FL), head circumference (HC), and abdominal circumference (AC) were studied and compared to the normal standards for GA, based on the initial sonogram from first trimester. Result-. Maximum (3.75 mm) and minimum (1.41 mm) increase in BPD was seen in 21-22 and 26 - 27 weeks, respectively. Maximum (4.50 mm) and minimum (0.42 mm) increase in FL was seen in 19 - 20 and 26 - 27 weeks, respectively.
Role of nanomaterials with special reference to pharmaceutical technology
Nanocarriers have emerged as a safe and effective method of medication administration and release during the past few years. When compared to their larger-scale counterparts, nanoparticles display amazing properties. The excellent biocompatibility of many of these carriers makes them more attractive, as does the fact that they provide better effectiveness, particularly in cancer therapies. Over the past half-century, nanocrystal, liposomal, and micelle nanocarriers for drug administration and release have been widely studied. As a result of these successful uses, the pharmaceutical industry now has a whole new product to choose from. An overview of recent works on nanocarrier materials and designs to improve the efficacy of medications for illness treatment is provided below. As organic and inorganic nanocarrier materials that are highly biocompatible and easy to manipulate get the most interest, specific emphasis is paid to the design and implementation of novel nanocarrier materials such as nanohydrogels, chitins, graphene oxides, and solid lipoprotein nanoparticles. Each summary shows how far the project has progressed. In order to give better therapy to patients, there is a pressing demand in pharmaceutical technology for improved knowledge of the current condition of these nanomaterials

Urban development in Pondicherry under French administration
The urban development in Pondicherry began with the outburst of war in 1676 A.D between Sher Khan Lodi and Nazir Muhammed. In the meanwhile Martin applied to his friend Sher Khan Lodi to give permission to entertain some native soldiers for the purposes of defence. Sher Khan not only assented to, but also made over to him three hundred of his own men. Martin entertained these men as soldiers, and made the settle down within his domain. Under the protection of Francois Martin, new villages like the Fishermen’s village, Weavers’ village, Textile painters’ village, Coral polishers’ village sprang up. Houses in the native area were built wall to wall with open space only at the rear. The pattern of houses were such as to afford a remarkable solution to the problem posed by the hot humid climate. The houses were built side by side in a row which protected the western and eastern sides of the house from direct sun leaving the two other sides (on the south and north) with small openings exposed to a large street that served as a wind funnel.
Synthesis and characterization of thiazolidine-4-one and thiazine-4-one derived from 2-aminoterephthalic acid by microwave method
The Schiff bases (A1 - A5) were produced from the reaction of the 2-aminoterephthalic acid with a variety of aldehydes by microwave method. Thiazolidine-4- one compoundes (A6 - A10)were of the reaction of the prepared schiffbases with thioglycolic acid in equal molar proportions. Thiazine-4- one compounds (A11 - A15) were prepared from the prepared schiff bases with the amino acid (cysteine). The prepared compounds were diagnosed by Spectroscopic methods (IR, 1H-NMR). The biological activity against two types of bacteria Proteus mirabilis –GVe and Enterococcus faecalis +GVe have tested and compared with the ciprofloxacin drug. The results proved that the prepared compounds are effective against these bacteria

Evaluation of requirement of extraction of a second maxillary primary molar in 3 to 5-year-old children
Background: The extraction of primary teeth is a major problem in developing countries. They are given little or no attention because they are thought to shed off on their own, resulting in significant difficulties such as crowding and malocclusion. Aim: The current aim of this study is to study the requirement of extraction of the second maxillary primary molar in 3 to 5-year-old children. Materials and Methods: A total of 136 children from the age group of 3-5 years who had undergone extraction of the second maxillary primary were collected from the DIAS record. The data were clubbed together and the results were analyzed using SPSS software the Pearson Chi-square test was done to find the sign where the p-value was kept <0.05 as the significance level. Results: The results show that 48.62% requirement for extraction is due to caries, 15.42% due to trauma, 15.02% due to mobility, 7.15% due to root resorption, and 13.44% due to other reasons. Conclusion: The study concludes that despite the improvement in pediatric oral health, caries are found to be the main reason for extraction
