Smart X-Ray interpreter for predicting epoch of healthcare using machine learning
This paper provides a complete overview of our work in providing a well-designed and accurate X ray scanner accessible to everyone and features applications that include radiology research and sharp X Rays. The use of Artificial intelligence (AI) has been rapidly advancing in medicine, especially in radiology. Artificial intelligence has in addition been a source of amazing development and alarming research in recent years. In addition to the risks and problems of quality assurance related to Artificial intelligence (AI), it offers large open doors to change the way radio sensible management is delivered. In addition, it is possible that AI could become a strong, persistent companion of a radiologist, in addition to being an important tool for preparing radiologist students. Assessment of effect of probiotics to nonsurgical treatment of chronic periodontitis
Background: Periodontal disease represents an inflammation of both soft and hard tooth-supporting tissues which is regarded as one of the major causes of tooth loss worldwide. The present study was conducted to assess effect of probiotics to nonsurgical treatment of chronic periodontitis. Materials & Methods: 48 patients of chronic periodontitis of both genders was included. In all patients, bacterial cultures and clinical evaluation were recorded in 70 sites in patients. After scaling and root planning (SRP), oral hygiene measures were reassured, and sites were divided into 2 groups 35 sites each. Group I received SRP only and group II received SRP and subgingival delivery of 1 ml of probiotic L. Results: Out of 48 patients, males were 23 and females were 25. The mean plaque index showed score 3 at baseline was seen in 35 in group I and 35 in group II. At 3 months score 1 was seen in 17 in group I and 35 in group II, score 2 in 18 in group I. At 6 months, score 2 was seen in 17 in group I and 25 in group II and score 3 in 18 in group I. and 10 in group II
Pregnancy and commonly usage hematological medications in Sudan
Background: When a woman with hematological issues considers pregnancy, she may need to take drugs. Objectives: This research looked into the use of hematological drugs to treat illnesses like anemia. Methods: This is a descriptive retrospective cross-sectional hospital-based study which carried out in Military Hospitals and Khartoum Teaching Hospital (Sudan) from Jan 2014 - Jan 2015. Data collection form was used to extract the information from 650 pregnant patient files. The information recorded included: age, trimester, medical history and hematological drugs. Results and Discussion: Four hundred & forty two (N=442=68%) of the women had normal (75-90%) hemoglobin, and 208 (32%) were below normal (40-70%) hemoglobin. Four hundred & thirty one (66.3%) of the pregnant women were dispensed hematological medications and the consumption was significantly higher in the third trimester (7-9 months) 89.6% of women (N = 386) than the second trimester (4-6 months) 10% of women (N = 43) and the first trimester (1-3 months) 0.46% of women (N = 2)
Invocation of supreme court's Inherent jurisdiction in broken marriages
"Till death do us apart" the myth of perpetual bond of cohabitation in a Sacrosanct marriage has been faded with time. The social taboo attached to divorce has been diluted and has been accepted as a remedy rather than a curse. There has been a journey in divorce cases from guilt theory to consent and further to breakdown of marriage. Irretrievable Breakdown of Marriage though received the attention of Law Commission of India[1], Judiciary [2] and attempts have been made by the legislature[3] but could not be substantiated in the Family Jurisprudence of India. This paper attempts to focus upon the judgments of the Supreme Court where the inherent jurisdiction under Article 142 of the Constitution has been invoked for doing complete justice in matrimonial disputes. The author tends to limit the scope of the paper to Hindu Marriage Act, 1955
A comprehensive review on influence of protein and sodium on liver cirrhosis
Cirrhosis of the liver is linked to considerable nutritional concerns, leading to severe hepatic consequences and low survivorship. Nutrition is a vital role yet underappreciated component of cirrhosis treatment. As a result, the goals of this study are to determine the associated dietary risks with its pathophysiology to support dietary guidelines for this population of patients. Even in the phase of the disease, alterations in substrate utilization for the production of energy are a common hallmark of liver cirrhosis, resulting in increased breakdown of protein reserves and a tendency to protein-energy malnutrition. Taking supplements with branched-chain amino acid residues has shown promising results in lowering cirrhosis-related complications, but it currently limits gastrointestinal disorders and poor palatability. Furthermore, more significant research into dietary modulation of branched-chain amino acids is needed. Finally, a vital result of this study is the need to enhance the type and effectiveness of diet intervention programs for patients with cirrhosis, precisely when partial or entire food sources are used. To summarize, nutritional treatment of cirrhosis is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but it should be incorporated early in the therapy algorithms to enhance clinical cirrhosis prognosis
Intimate partner violence as a predictor of unintended pregnancy among married women: Evidence from National Family Health Survey-IV India
Globally close to 85 million women face an unintended pregnancy every year. This study conducted among currently married women aged 15–49 years who had at least one childbirth in the five years preceding the survey (2,011 from Bihar and 3,331 from UP). Bivariate and stepwise multivariate logistic regression analyses were used for statistical analysis. Women who experienced spousal sexual violence were reported higher unintended birth. Prevalence of IPV was higher than national average in the study settings (50.2% Bihar; 40.1% UP), similarly, experience of unintended birth was also moderately higher in UP (15.4%) and Bihar (11.7%) Women on modern contraception had reported higher unintended births in UP (p<0.00). State specific provision of screening and treatment with in reproductive health care setting is mandated
A Rapid and Sensitive stability indicating Rp-HPLC method development for the quantitative analysis of empagliflozin & linagliptin in bulk & synthetic mixture
An isocratic HPLC method was developed using, Shimadzu C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 µm) with an isocratic binary mobile phase consisting of Acetonitrile: Buffer in a ratio (80:20 v/v) pH 3.0 adjusted with Orthophosphoric acid and flow rate monitored at 0.80 ml/min. The UV detector was used for simultaneous analysis of two drugs at a common wavelength of 226 nm and each injection volume was 20 µl. The retention time for Empagliflozin and Linagliptin was found to be 3.714 min and 3.064 min, respectively. Empagliflozin and Linagliptin produce degradation products in acidic, alkaline, thermal, and UV stress. The result of the assay of Empagliflozin and Linagliptin shows that the degradation product does not interfere with the analytical procedure quantitively when these drugs are analyzed
Efficacy of vitamin D supplementation on the incidence of recurrent pneumonia in children: A systematic review and meta-analysis study
Recurrent pneumonia may develop into severe pneumonia. Many evidences showing that vitamin D supplementation can reduce the risk of pneumonia, but the results are not yet definitive. We aim to investigate and determine the effect of vitamin D supplementation on the incidence of recurrent pneumonia in children. Data sources published were searched from PubMed, Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus, and clinicaltrial.gov up to December 2021. This review included the Randomized controlled trials (RCT) study which compare vitamin D supplementation with placebo and/or non-intervention in children with pneumonia under 18-years-old. We used Risk of Bias (RoB) 2 tools to assessed the risk of bias. The results are combined with a random effect or fixed-effect model, and sensitivity analysis was conducted to explore potential factors. Seven RCT studies with a total of 1852 participants met the eligibility criteria. There was a positive correlation between vitamin D supplementation and the incidence of recurrent pneumonia (RR 0.59; 95% Confidence Interval 0.40 – 0.89), with a combined effect of 2.52. The heterogeneity test was 77%. The results were statistically significant with a p-value of 0.01. Vitamin D supplementation may reduce the incidence of recurrent pneumonia in children and be considered an additional therapy
Islamic values and Asian values: Issues and challenges to human rights
The Paper gives an insight into the values of Asian and Islamic countries with respect to human rights. It helps in understanding the problems that are prevalent in these countries and what could be done in order to bring the concept of human rights as it exists in these countries on par with the liberal ideas of West. The paper deals with analysis of human rights in reference to Asian and Islamic values. The idea of Human Rights is regarded as the idea of West and the Asian and Islamic practices pose a challenge to this idea. The study is limited to comparison between Western values of human rights and Asian practices; the development of human rights in Islamic culture and the challenges that exist even in the modern world. The paper also puts across the views of some renowned philosophers and supporters of Human Rights as to the concept of ‘cultural relativism’, ‘the relative universality of human rights’ and the impact of difference in practices on the rights of women and other weaker sections of the society
Nitrofurantoin: Furious against bacteria? An in vitro study to test nitrofurantoin as an intracanal medicament against Enterococcus Faecalis
In vitro evaluation of nitrofurantoin as an intracanal medicament against Enterococcus Faecalis. Materials and Methods: 150 single-rooted premolar teeth were chosen and instrumented using a Protaper gold rotary file system; the root canals of these teeth were inoculated for 21 days with an Enterococcus faecalis bacterial solution. The canals were inoculated with Nitrofurantoin, Calcium hydroxide, and MTAP after 21 days and left for 7 days. On the eighth day, the samples were examined to determine the degree of infection. The study's findings revealed that both Nitrofurantoin and MTAP were very successful, with no Colony Forming Units (CFU) production in their respective groups. The current investigation indicated that nitrofurantoin is effective in eradicating E. faecalis cells in pure culture as well as root canals
