Industrial monitoring and control using LoRa communication
Monitoring and controlling industrial machinery is one of the best methods to prevent equipment breakdown. Industrial machines normally break down when the voltage or current goes low or high. With Industrial monitoring, we can ensure that the access is controlled, and the products are of higher quality. With this method, we can control access, improve productivity, and ensure high-quality results when manufacturing industrial products. In today's technological era, remote monitoring and control have become commonplace in industries using connectivity techniques such as ZigBee, RF,and Infrared. Due to their slow communication speeds, long distances, and weak data security, these wireless communication techniques are generally limited to simple applications. Additionally, they are easily affected by noise and bad weather conditions, such as snow, fog, and rain the present project proposes to use LoRa (long-range) technology to implement a new solution for the traditional monitoring and control of industrial applications using high-quality communication and high security
A discrete region inferred differential evolution feature selection architecture for human face recognition
Face Recognition has received a lot of attention in wide variety of the security application employing face based biometric authentication due to its non intrusive data acquisition. Especially artificial intelligence play important role in face recognition. Numerous researches have been carried out using machine learning technique in order to accuracy of the recognition. In this paper, a novel technique titled as Discrete Differential Evolution (DDE) architecture has been proposed. The proposed architecture will employed after set of the primary image processing steps such as preprocessing, feature extraction and feature selection. Initially preprocessing of the images is performed with image normalization technique and image enhancement technique. Preprocessed image will explored to Linear Discriminant Analysis technique to extract the features of the image. Extracted features will contain some redundant and irrelevant information of the images, it has to eliminate and optimal feature has to be selected to the recognition task. Discrete Region Inferred Differential Evolution architecture is employed to feature selection. Extracted features will be consider as search space, objective function of the DDE generates the optimal features solutions with respect to fitness criteria. Finally recognition task is performed with optimal features using support vector machine
Towards better intelligent implementation of Schizophrenia prediction using federated deep learning framework
Early detection of individuals susceptible to Schizophrenia (SZ) is critical for early intervention, which can reduce the risk of psychosis. This research proposes a deep learning method for classifying EEG data by picking important discriminative EEG features. While existing systems employ an R-CNN methodology, we propose a hybrid CNN–Bi- LSTM automated system that analyses EEG statistical data and performs the prediction. It uses a CNN for an optimised feature selection process to select the most important and informative features, with Bi-LSTM for prediction of susceptibility to develop SZ. The model when run on EEG data of schizophrenic paradigms gives output as ”Schizophrenic” or ”Non-schizophrenic”. This method has a high level of classification accuracy when compared to most existing machine learning models. While it displays a lower accuracy than some complex deep learning systems, it is much more stable and easy to interpret and thus is more practical for clinical settings
Paraquat poisoning: Herbicide with fatal outcome
Paraquat (10-dimethyl-4, 40-bipyridylium dichloride) is the most common herbicide used worldwide. Due to its inherent toxicity and lack of effective treatment, it has high case fatality of more than 50%. Paraquat exposure through ingestion or inhalation leads to multi-organ involvement including lungs, CNS, heart, kidneys and liver. Treatment is mainly supportive including initial resuscitation, gastrointestinal decontamination, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immunosuppressive therapy. We are reporting two cases of paraquat poisoning and their management in intensive care unit, of which one was successfully treated and discharged from ICU while other one expired
A case report of ASMD Niemann pick disease
Niemann Pick Disease is a rare disorder of lysosomal storage of the lipid sphingomyelin and foam cell infiltration of tissues presenting with varying degrees of severity. metabolic abnormalities of two types responsible for causing NPD. acid sphingomyelinase deficiency is the first metabolic abnormality causing NPD type A and B and and second is defect in cholesterol transport causing NPD type C disease. Herewith reporting a case of Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficient (ASMD) NPD Type A
A case report on topical steroids causing infantile iatrogenic cushing syndrome
Cushing Syndrome is characterised by raised levels of Glucocorticoids in free plasma. It is caused because of excess endogenous release of steroids or excess usage of exogenous steroids. The common form Cushing syndrome present in children is Iatrogenic Cushing syndrome. It is either due to excessive administration of parenteral or oral preparations of steroids which are used in treatment of pulmonary, renal, haematological and autoimmune diseases. Topical steroids rarely causes Cushing syndrome. In our case report, We will describe about a four month old girl child who developed Cushing syndrome ( Iatrogenic ) because of prolonged and excessive use of Topical preparations steroids Namely clobetasol for treatment of napkin ( diaper ) dermatitis
Management of large maxillary defect: A case study
In cases of large maxillary defects and trismus that result from surgical removal of a tumor in the maxilla, the use of two pieces obturator overcome the problem and improve retention of the obturator by engagement of all desirable undercuts which enhance retention of the obturator. Improve retention of the obturator help the patient to continue his/her life. The case study describes the construction of a two pieces obturator with silicon bulb attached to a hollow Bulb obturator by a ledge
Can TMJ morphological alterations impede TMJ agony?
Introduction: The relation between temporomandibular joint morphology and its incoordination is an arena which is not ventured in much even though many researches have been done but still it is a drop in the ocean of such a vast and complicated structure of the human TMJ anatomy. Objective: To evaluate morphological variations of temporomandibular joint in healthy and disorder patients using computed tomography. Study Design: A total of 20 temporomandibular joint disorder patients and 10 patients with normal TMJs and Class I occlusion were studied. The study was conducted at SUM Hospital and Oral Medicine and Radiology department, IDS Bhubaneswar with TMJ as chief complaint during a period from September 2016 to November 2016. Symptomatic group and asymptomatic group based on according to the Research Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (RDC/ TMD) were selected. The present research on TMJ morphology has been designed to investigate parameters like shape of condyle, glenoid fossa and articular eminence in relation to various temporomandibular disorders (TMD).The patients were enrolled with symptoms or signs such as pain, restricted mouth opening, deviation, clicking. A series of morphological parameters with teeth in maximum intercusspation were studied in CT scan.

Frequencies of different oesophageal lesion seen on endoscopy and histopathology in a tertiary care institute
Gastrointestinal endoscopy visualizes the whole of the digestive tract and is a well-known technique of investigation, diagnosis and treatment of a broader range of digestive tract lesions. Endoscopy also gives an opportunity for taking biopsy from suspicious neoplastic and inflammatory lesions seen on endoscopy. In India, as per the National Cancer Registry, neoplasm of the oesophagus and stomach are the topmost neoplasm present in males. In the females after breast and cervix cancer, oesophageal cancer is the most common cancer. It was a prospective, observational study of one and half year duration including all the patients visiting the outpatient department of Gastroenterology in whom endoscopy was advised. After proper informed consent biopsy was obtained from the suspicious oesophageal lesion and sent to the pathology department for detailed histopathological examination. Finally frequencies of different lesions were observed on endoscopy and on histopathology. Out of 48 patients enrolled into study, the majority were males between 40-60 years of age group. Neoplastic lesions were the most common lesions followed by inflammatory lesions in the endoscopy and similar observation was seen in histopathological examinations as well.
