In the era of the competitive business landscape, every company seeks to be the category-lead but it is not an easy-going task, especially in case of Direct selling business. To be the category lead, a company is required to differentiate its brand over competitors in terms of product value proposition, pricing, customer service, and other constructs that bind the customers who have been loyal to the brand for a long time. Understanding consumers’ buying behaviour is a vital task in this regard, failing which any organisation struggle to find their position in the competitive market. Customer satisfaction refers to a person’s general attitude toward a service provider or an emotional reaction to a discrepancy between the expected service and the service received to fulfil the desired goals or needs. The first intent of the present investigation is to identify the factors contributing to Customer Satisfaction. The second intent is to evaluate the relationship between Customer Satisfaction and Consumer-Organisation Relationship (COR). The study was carried out by considering the five factors viz. price stability, product quality, reliability, efficiency, and user-friendliness to explore their impact on customer satisfaction.  Further, CFA and SEM approaches were used to analyse the data

Assessment of telescoping nail in the management of long bones fractures and deformities in patients with osteogenesis imperfecta

    Get PDF
Background: Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a genetic disorder characterized by increased bone fragility and multiple fractures. Approximately 90% are caused by mutation in COL1A1 or COL1A2 genes, the disease is transmitted either autosomal dominantly or recessively or appears as a spontaneous mutation. Protein product of these two genes is type I collagen, the major structural protein in the bone and skin, which is affected in quality, quantity or both. The most distinct feature of this disease is repeated fractures and deformities which are very challenging to treat. Making the bone harder by bisphosphonate treatment and by Intramedullary splinting of long bones is the standard of care in most pediatric orthopedic centers. The problem of treating young child with a fixed length intramedullary rod, is overgrowth of the bone beyond the edge of the nail, creating a segment of bone which is unsupported and very liable to fractures and deformities. The need for a device that elongates with bone growth (telescoping intramedullary nail) was necessary to overcome this problem. There were different types of telescoping Intramedullary nails (baily-dubow, Sheffield, interlocking telescoping nail that has been used for the treatment of Osteogenesis imperfecta

    Get PDF
Health services are one of the most difficult aspects of the massive influx of people into urban centers. With global digitization, especially in healthcare, the ability to collect, receive and present data has become a top priority. Currently, many applications in the healthcare business use Machine Learning to give individualized therapies, which will be more dynamic and efficient once personal health and predictive analytics are combined.  Furthermore, machine learning-based tools aid in the treatment of patients starting at the ground level, with clinical practice diagnosis and suggestions. Massive amounts of data may be collected from smart devices in our digital age. Human activity recognition is a classification problem in which data is used to identify events performed by humans. This data is categorized and analyzed to discover patterns in the data that may be used to create future predictions. In theory, activity detection can provide significant societal benefits. Activity recognition and pattern discovery are two aspects of human activity comprehension. The first is concerned with detecting human activities accurately using a specified activity model

In seropositive patients, HCMV disease may occur either by reactivation of a pre-existing strain or by reinfection with a new one. This study aims to assessment of HCMV antibody titers to determine the immune status and the extent to which patients are at risk of infection and measurement of antibody avidity to HCMV and its comparison with molecular diagnosis. The total IgG and IgM using nephlometry technique were measurement. The IgG levels (Mean ± SD) of control group (804.0384±173.789) showed highly significant differences (P< 0.000) among studied groups, and had elevated mean values in comparison with KD and HD patients. Also, IgM levels (Mean ± SD) showed significantly decreased (P< 0.000) in KT patients (20.685±4.787) and HD patients (21.751±6.026) in comparison with healthy control group (129.4503±35.3807). Anti-HCMV IgM, anti-HCMV IgG and anti-HCMV IgG avidity were measured using a method elctro-chemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA) by using cobas e411 device. A study conducted on HCMV IgM antibodies showed that there were a percentage of 4(16.66%) among the recent infections and a percentage of 3(12.5%) among cases of intermediate HCMV infection in KT group only, while the rest of the groups (17, 70.84%)  did not show any recent infections with HCMV

Improved retinal fundus image quality with hybrid image filter and enhanced contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization

    Get PDF
Retinal fundus image preprocessing has contributed extensively to medical image analysis and retrieval of appropriate images. The acquired retinal images are usually messy and come from different sources. They need to be standardized and cleaned up. Retinal image preprocessing enables the improvement of retinal image quality and enhances the image features that are required for processing. The success of the retinal image diagnosis for early prediction of Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) depends on the reliability of preprocessing. The automatic preprocessing of color retinal fundus images without affecting the image quality is still challenging.  Retinal images often have issues such as low contrast intensity, uneven light intensity, blurring, noise disturbances, sensor system that lack of focus, low contrast, irregular shapes with high variability, object movement, ill-defined boundaries, heterogeneous pixel intensities and the annotation of medical images to support diagnosis. In this work, issues such as noisy/ill in defined boundaries, uneven light intensity, low contrast, and blurring of images in the retinal fundus images are addressed with the proposed method. The results of the proposed method are reliable, contrast enhanced, edge preserved preprocessed images for given color input images
