Charyapads as the oldest written specimen of assamese literature
Assamese literature and language has gained the present status by coming across various levels. The historians of literature have divided the Assamese literary eras by examining the style of composition, language, thoughts, ideals, themes etc of the literature written in the language from the era of origin till now. While dividing this era, Charyapad has been included as one of the most important examples of early age. On the basis of numerous reliable information, Charyapads are considered as the first written specimen of Assamese literature. In order to promote the worship of Buddha religion and theory among the masses, the Siddhacharyas of Sahajayana doctrine, the recent path of Tantrayana branch under Mahayana Buddhism composed the Charyapadas. In 1907, the Mahamahopadhyaya Har Prasad Shastri discovered the Charyapadas from the royal court of Nepal and in 1916 he published it as ‘Hajar Bochhorer Purono Bangala Bhasay Bouddha Gaan o Doha’. From the ancient era, the textbooks get disappeared in the womb of time due to various reasons. In consequence to that the written specimen of Assamese literature before 14th Century B.C have been found as inadequate
Twelve week effects of circuit exercise training on selected health related physical fitness: In case of Dambi Dollo University Second Year Students, Oromia, Ethiopia
This paper aimed to examine the effects of circuit training on cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance in the case of Dambi Dollo University, second-year students. Forty students 19-23 years old were purposively taken. 20 students were selected into an experimental group and 20 students were selected into a control group. The training program was held for twelve weeks. The training program was given three days within a week for 45 minutes. Pre-test and post-test were taken on physical fitness parameters such as cardiovascular endurance (step test) and muscular endurance (push-ups). The study comprised participants who completed a questionnaire about their health history and were between 19 and 23 years old. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used, and their changes were observed in their physical fitness by scheming measures of central tendency like mean and standard deviation to estimate the significant difference at P<0.05. The outcomes displayed, there is a mean difference for the experimental group, and there was no significant difference for the control group for both muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance
Development and modification of the natural polymers by converting them into nanobiocomposite
The main target ofTthis study is to develop an antibacterial chitosan nanocomposite fabric among in situ crated silver nanoparticles utilizing Vitex leafTextract, which i s amedicinal herb. The CNCFs were evaluated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy,Xray diffraction (XRD), and antimicrobial testing. Additionally, these CNCFs have excellent antibacterial characteristics. These CNCFs could be used in medical applic ations like surgical aprons, wound cleansing, wound dressing, and hospital bed mat erials, as they were manufactured utilising a simple and environmentally acceptable approach
A comparative study of treatment outcomes of femur neck fracture with dynamic hip screws versus multiple cancellous cannulated screws
Background: Dynamic hip screws (DHS) and multiple cannulated cancellous screws (MCCS) are commonly used in anatomic reduction of femur neck fractures. However, there is limited information on the complications of various fixation methods. Objective: To assess the outcome of two different modalities of femur neck fracture fixation. Methodology: This prospective, randomized, comparative interventional study included 32 subjects with recent trauma. Patients were randomized to DHS and MCCS treatment groups (16 patients each). Post-surgical radiographs were obtained and clinical evaluation for deformities was performed using the Harris hip score (HHS). The duration of surgery, average blood loss, and complications were noted and assessed. Chi-square test was used to check the association between attributes. Two-sample t-test was employed to compare the mean between two groups. P≤0.05 indicated statistical significance. Results: A significant difference (p<0.001) between the 2 groups was noted with regard to patients’ age. The median operative time for DHS and MCCS groups was 75 mins (range 60-90 mins) and 60 mins (range 50-70 mins), respectively. Average blood loss was more in DHS (200 mL) than in MCCS (120 mL) group. Majority of the patients (75%) in the DHS group showed excellent HHS results
Role of human papillomavirus in the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus: A systematic review
Oral Lichen Planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory disease with a cell-mediated immunopathologic response. Although OLP has been studied extensively for decades, its exactaetiologyremains unclear. Autoimmunity, viruses like Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Human Papillomavirus (HPV), and stress have all beenhypothesized in recent articles. HPVs are epitheliotropic viruses with an affinity for keratinocytes and are principally found in the anogenital tract, urethra, skin, larynx, tracheobronchial and oral mucosa. This article aimed to review the frequency of HPV prevalence in OLP. A computer database search was performed through the use of PubMed from 1987 to 2021. The summary showed that the association of HPV and OLP varied significantly by geographic population. The correlation of HPV and erosive-atrophic oral lichen planus was comparable and well above that of HPV and non-EA-OLP. Among HPV genotypes, HPV 16 showed an extremely strong association with OLP, and HPV 18 showed a relatively strong one
Pretesting and reliability estimation of diet quality assessment tool for Indian adolescents
As dietary tool for assessment of diet quality in Indian adolescents is lacking, there is a need for a standardized one. Our study aimed to develop and standardize Diet Quality Assessment Tool for Indian Adolescents (DQAT-IA). A cross-sectional study was undertaken among school-going adolescents of 13-17 years (n=40; sub set of a sample of 400 on which main study of diet quality assessment was undertaken), residing in rural areas of Aligarh district (India). The DQAT-IA was formulated based on diet adequacy, moderation, diet variety and nutrient intake. The reliability of DQAT-IA was assessed using Cronbach's alpha and split-half method. The mean age of participants was 15.4±1.05 year. Nutrient Adequacy Ratio of energy, dietary fibre, calcium, iron and zinc were inadequate. The mean DQAT-IA sub score for diet variety element was highest (23.6±2.99), followed by moderation (18.0±5.16), nutrient adequacy (15.7±5.01) and food group adequacy (13.1±4.09). Nearly one third of subjects (32.5%) were having healthy diet. Reliability of DQAT-IA was 0.61 by split-half method and by Cronbach's alpha it was 0.50. The DQAT-IA can prove to be a useful measure for examination of diet quality of school-going Indian adolescents, but revision of DQAT-IA items is needed to improve its reliability
