Translation and validation of Arabic version of maternal responsiveness questionnaire
Objectives: Aim to translate the original maternal responsiveness questionnaire from English to Arabic language and validate it. In addition to achieving equivalence between the original and adapted questionnaire. Method: maternal responsiveness questionnaire was translated into the Arabic language by using the WHO guideline of translation technique (translation – back translation and bilingual technique). A cross-cultural study design was used in this study to adapt the English version of the instrument to the new version in the Arabic language. Results: The translated Arabic maternal responsiveness questionnaire demonstrated a high degree of accuracy of translation and high estimates of content validity (S-CVI/Ave =0.96) and the Cronbach alpha showed a high level of internal consistency for questionnaire sub-scale as follow; 0.85 for responsiveness; 0.89 for delayed responsiveness; and 0.73 for non-responsiveness. Conclusion: The Arabic version of the maternal responsiveness questionnaire is highly reliable and has sufficient content validity and a culturally adapted form that can be used to measure the maternal responsiveness for Arabic-speaking mothers.
Marginal integrity and clinical evaluation of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) versus lithium disilicate (E-Max) endocrowns: Randomized controlled clinical trial
Aim: Evaluate the marginal integrity and Clinical performance of PEEK endocrowns compared to lithium disilicate (E-Max) ceramic endocrowns. Methodology: Twenty six endocrowns were fabricated for posterior endodontically treated teeth. Patients were divided into two groups according to the material used for fabrication of the restorations; Group 1(control group) received E-Max endocrowns while Group 2 (intervention group) received Bio HPP PEEK endocrowns. The marginal integrity and internal fit were assessed using the silicon replica approach, in which each replica was sectioned into four segments, each with five reference points that were evaluated using a digital microscope at 35X magnification. After final cementation, the clinical performance of the restorations was evaluated according to the USPHS criteria in terms of marginal adaptation, fracture, and retention. These measurements were repeated after three, six, nine and twelve months respectively. Results: The marginal and internal gaps of both groups were within the clinical acceptable range, but E-Max group recorded statistically significant higher internal gap mean value than PEEK group. Regarding the clinical performance all restorations showed 100% alpha and there was no significant difference between both groups for all tested outcomes (Marginal adaptation, fracture, and retention) over one year
Role of Yoga practices on cognitive functions: A review
Yoga is the science of conditioning one's mind and body via the practise of shatkarma, asana, pranayama, mudra, and meditation. The aim of this review of literature is to give theoretical rationale for identifying
(a) the specific attributes of yoga poses that have been used in yoga protocols of various studies but have not been explicitly explored, & (b) the minimum time necessary to keep a posture to bring about a corresponding change in performance among the aforementioned cognitive functions (s) In humans, The most prevalent and under-treated problems are cognitive decline & psychological health problems. Different studies have been carried out to determine the influence of Yoga on human cognitive and psychological health indices. However, no comprehensive examination of the effects of yoga-based therapy on human cognitive and mental health has been undertaken to far. Yoga is an ancient science that places a premium on disease prevention and treatment, as well as the percentage of health. Yoga is recognized to delay the effects of aging and has been found to be effective in the therapy of aging-related disorders. Yoga is a centuries-old discipline that is said to improve both physical and emotional well-being
Social networking sites: A tool for boosting academic accomplishments during pandemic
With the rapid development of technology and emerging trends in the social media platform, the education sector has also adopted a wide range of digital media technologies. In addition to the traditional media the dependency over the social media platform either to promote the academic events or increasing academic partnerships or collaborations have been increased tremendously. Also, during the past two years due to the pandemic situation all around the world the adoption of social networking sites by the academicians has also increased many folds, which clearly determines that there is a change in the adoption behaviour of social networking sites by the academicians which is supplemented by improved internet speed with affordable cost. It remains unclear the motivation and primary reasons behind joining the various social networking sites by the academicians. In this context the major purpose of this study is to investigate the various academic factors responsible for joining the social networking sites by the faculties and to identify the true potential of these sites in increasing and promoting the academic initiatives & events
Internet of things module accelerated dense deep learning for crime detection in surveillance systems
The smart surveillance system is becoming a vital application in each streets or houses. Most of the streets are prone to several misbehavior conducts for instance theft in atm, robbery, fights etc. and hence it is necessary to detect and analyse the crime scenes for finding the suspects. However, most of the surveillance system suffers from poor detection of objects due to poor camera resolution, absence of light and other factors. In order to improve the detection of faces after detecting the objects using ResNet, it is necessary to adapt some advanced devices for image capturing and analyzing. In this paper, Internet of Things (IoT) based ESP32 CAM WiFi Module Bluetooth with OV2640 Camera Module 2MP is used for image acquisition that capture better images from the scenes. The study uses dense convolutional network namely DenseNet to detect the faces present in the crime scenes after the object detection. The deep learning module is trained with selected crime scenes for training the classifier. The simulation is conducted further to validate the model with other variants of deep learning
Impact of an educational program on parents' knowledge about chelation therapy & nutrition of their children with beta thalassemia major
The study aimed to determine the effect of an educational program on parents' knowledge about chelation therapy, and nutrition of their children with beta thalassemia major. A quasi experimental study was carried out at Thalassemia Center in Al-Najaf City during the periods 25 ͭ ͪ February 2021 to 15 ͭ ͪ March 2022. Non-probability (purposive) sample of (70) parents were selected from thalassemia center (38 mothers and 32 fathers). The result of the study findings indicate that education program about home health care management was highly effective on parents’ knowledge in the study group evidenced by high significance associated with “Greenhouse-Geisser” correction at p-value=0.001. Also there is a significant relationship between parents’ knowledge with regard to affected father with disease at p-value= .049
The family and its contribution in the teaching process in basic general education students
The purpose of this paper is to analyze and investigate the way in which families provide their contribution in the teaching process in students basic general education. This study addresses the process of family involvement in the "Eliécer Absalón Valle Carrera" Educational Unit, San Antonio parish in the Chone canton. To do this, it is assumed that the family is how the subjects who are in training receive the first information, learn attitudes and ways of perceiving. A mixed qualitative and quantitative, descriptive methodological approach was used and from a bibliographic-documentary approach, this work analyzes the relationship between family and educational institution, the articulation with parents and the promotion of their participation, the benefits that the active insertion of the family nucleus and how, from this, the work that the family carries out in the home is promoted, which is understood as the first space where boys and girls develop, and in turn promotes the work carried out by the educational institutions and programs. The result was that the participation of families supports educational processes, favoring quality education and better learning for children, particularly students
Clinical significance of sentinel lymph node biopsy in differentiated thyroid cancer
Differentiated thyroid cancers are the most common endocrine malignancy and include three main entities: papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC), and Hürthle cell carcinoma (HCC). Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is the most common histologic subtype. Was to review different sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) techniques in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer. We also will compare the detection rates and sensitivity of the different detection methods in these patients and assessment of feasibility and side effects of the different techniques. This study was a cross sectional study, Surgical Oncology Department of National Cancer Institute, Cairo University and Damietta Cancer Center, Ministry of Health and Population. Radionuclide technique (lymphoscintigraphy and gamma probe scanning) was successful in 94.6 % (35/37) of the patients as shown in table 4 and relation between SLN and identification by gamma probe. In the 37 patients, the intraoperative frozen biopsy indicated that 22 patients were experiencing SLN metastases, while post-operative routine pathological examination was able to diagnose three additional patients with lymph node metastases.
Investigating theoretical concepts relevant to evidence based public health: Critical literature review
The PRISMA flow diagram for this CLR, presented in Figure A.1 (see Appendix), gives an overview of the main statistics from the various phases of the search strategy. Combined with this, it is important to recognise that after screening the full-text articles during the eligibility phase of the search strategy, the reviewer recognised that the two articles, despite failing to satisfy the publication criterion for inclusion and exclusion, were evidently seminal studies regarding the conceptual and theoretical underpinnings of EBPH. Hence, the justifiable decision was made by the reviewer to include both studies in stage 1 of the present CLR. As documented in the literature, these EBPH-focused change management and PHI design frameworks, especially 6SQuID, have yielded positive outcomes, a prominent example being the Scottish CARE intervention designed by Hartley et al. (2018
Virtual reality balance training versus core stability exercises on balance in patients with unilateral lymphedema
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the effects between Wii fit balance board and core stability exercises on balance dysfunction in patients with unilateral lymphedema. Method: Sixty patients (women) aged 40-60 years with grade 1 or 2 lymphedema were randomly assigned into the following two groups. Group A received the Wii fit balanced exercises for three times per week for four weeks as total treatment duration in form of (Ski Slalom, Advanced Skiing, Ski Jumping followed by Header and Jump Rope).; Group B received core stability exercises for 4 weeks (3times/week) in form of {1- Abdominal bracing (10 repetitions x10 second holds), 2- Curl up (3 sets x 10 repetitions), 3- Supine bridge (3 sets x 10 repetitions), 4- Supine unilateral bridge (3 sets x 10 repetitions for each leg), 5- Plank (3 sets x 10 repetitions) and 6- Bird dog (3 sets x 10 repetitions for each limb)}. Balance was determined using time up and go (TUG) and Wii fit results by using the Wii fit balance board. Balance was measured before and 4 weeks after the treatment program.
