Updated review on overview of dry needling
Dry needling is a therapeutic method that involves inserting a filiform needle into a target area. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that affects the articular cartilage, causes discomfort, and changes the biomechanics. ling is a component of conservative or comprehensive physiotherapeutic management. Increased blood flow, metabolic changes, spontaneous electrical activity, pain gating, and other mechanisms of action of dry needling may generate therapeutic advantages in osteoarthritis. The history of dry needling is extensively discussed. Needling can be defined as superficial or deep needling depending on the depth of the needle insertion, and it can also be classified as trigger point dry needling, fascial needling, scar tissue needling, and so on. The mechanism of Dry Needling is explained by a variety of ideas. The local effects of dry needling were also explored in this review, as well as the mechanism of analgesic effects. The needles can be utilized to provide therapeutic current to the tissues in a variety of ways. It can be done with PENS (Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) or ETOIMS (Electro Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) (Electrical Twitch Obtaining Intramuscular Stimulation)
Evaluation of salivary cytokines in patients with fixed orthodontic treatment
To evaluate the TNF-α and IL-1β levels in the gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) during orthodontic treatment. This study was carried out on 30 orthodontic patients. Prior to procedure, GCF was collected with a paper strip in gingival sulcus of maxillary right central incisor on the disto labial aspect for 60 seconds, followed by bonding and insertion of initial 14 NiTi archwire. GCF collection was repeated 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days after bonding. Measurement of TNF-α and IL-1β levels was performed using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Data were evaluated statistically. There was raise in TNF-α and IL-1β concentration after treatment. There was no significant relationship between TNF-α and IL-1β concentrations subsequent to bonding in comparison to the baseline. There was no significant relationship in TNF-α and IL-1β level changes in the two age groups and among males and females. The present study indicated the raise in TNF-α and IL-1β concentration after treatment. There was no statically significant effect of gender and age on the concentration of TNF-α and IL-1β
GNSS user requirements for reuse development process considering pandemic
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) use the internal continuous reference times to evaluate a navigation solution, which includes U.S. GPS time, Russian GLONASS Time, the E.U. Galileo System Time, and Chinese Beidou time. GNSSs time are designed and configured to internally synchronize systems and evaluate navigation solution, and they are adjusted to synchronize their time into an external and stable reference clock. This paper analyzes and extracts requirements that are needed for designing components and design a component specification, which is based on the extracted components. From this study, common functions of GPS applications were constructed as a component. This method has advantages that can be assembled and reused. That is, it would develop a highly reliable method for software when common components are extracted from requirements for GNSS construction and component-based GNSS development process is achieved
Evaluation of lipid profile and glycated haemoglobin in type 2 diabetic patients: A retrospective study
Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a rapidly growing public health problem with significant implications for human health, living standards, the economy, and health-care systems around the world. Diabetic dyslipidemia is a risk factor for macrovascular (stroke, peripheral vascular disease, and coronary artery disease [CAD]) and microvascular (nephropathy, neuropathy, and retinopathy) disorders in T2DM patients. The level of circulating HbA1C is considered the gold standard of glycemic management, and it must be maintained in order to avoid T2DM problems. Aim : To investigate the association between glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) and the lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) Methods and Materials: Between January 2021 to December 2021 researchers at the SNMMC, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study. The study included 200 T2DM patients (138 females and 62 males), and the data was gathered through a review of the patients' computerised profiles. The electronic file system also contained biochemical data such as fasting plasma glucose (FPG), HbA1C, and lipid profile, as well as the patient's age, BMI, and gender. Only patients who saw their doctor on a regular basis and whose electronic records were complete were eligible.
Comparison of induction and recovery characteristics of propofol and sevoflurane in day care adult tonsillectomies
Ambulatory anaesthesia is a rapidly growing subspecialty. Although its history is as old as the history of general anesthesia itself, it has emerged as a recognized concept and is evolving over the past couple of decades. Propofol and Sevoflurane have increased the ability of the anaesthesiologist to provide a successful day-care experience. The aim of the study was to compare the induction and recovery characteristics of Propofol and Sevoflurane when they are used as single induction and maintenance anaesthetic agent in adult day care tonsillectomies. This was a randomized prospective study carried out after obtaining ethical committee and institutional approval. 60 patients were randomly allocated to either the Propofol or the Sevoflurane group by lots. Each group had 30 patients and was named ‘P’ for Propofol and ‘S’ for Sevoflurane. Their age ranged from 13 to 40 years. All the patients were assessed and those with normal clinical, biochemical, radiological and haematological parameters were selected. Despite the low blood gas solubility of Sevoflurane, inhalation induction of anaesthesia was slower than intravenous induction with Propofol. Though the incidence of induction complications was more with Sevoflurane group, it did not compromise tracheal intubation or haemodynamics except for bradycardia observed in three patients.
Solving multiobjective functions of dynamics optimization based on constraint and unconstraint non-linear programming
To better understand the connection between nonlinear optimization problems and differential equations, this study uses the mathematical models with one or more objective functions that are constrained by restrictions and therefore take the form of differential equations called dynamical optimization systems, which mean a decision-making method that uses differential and algebraic equation mathematical models to design-wise policies based on forecasts of future events. This paper focuses on solving mathematical models systems using the Python programming language
Morphological and histological study of large intestine in adult local rabbits subjected to starvation
Starvation is a very serious form of malnutrition characterized by a deficiency in nutrients, vitamins and caloric intake. The present study attempts to detect the effect of starvation on the morphology and histology of large intestine in adult females rabbits. the present study included 25 rabbits, their weight ranged between(1500-1800 gm), divided into one control group and four starved groups (S3, S6, S9 and S12) each contained 5 rabbits. The morphological results of cecum weight in all the starved groups was observed to show significant decrease (P≤0.05) as compared with the control group. The proximal colon weight in the S3, S6 and S12 groups decreased significantly (P≤0.05) as compared with the control group. The weight of the distal colon was found to show significant decrease (P≤0.05) in all the starved groups as compared with the control group. The vermiform appendix weight in the S3, S9 and S12 group was observed to show significant decrease (P≤0.05) as compared with the control group. The weight of the rectum in the S6 and S9 groups was observed to show a significant decrease (P≤0.05) as compared with the control group. The macroscopic observation revealed changes due to starvation stress mostly in the proximal colon
