This study aims to analyze the implementation of the talaqq? musy?fahah method in Qur’an memorization learning at MTsS Al-Washliyah Tembung and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors that affect its effectiveness. This method relies on direct oral instruction between teacher and student, where the teacher recites a verse first and the students imitate it collectively or individually. The process continues with periodic memorization submissions, direct correction by the teacher, repetition (mur?ja‘ah), and memorization evaluation using a structured guidebook. The study adopts a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model techniques which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results show that the application of the talaqq? musy?fahah method creates an interactive and profound learning atmosphere. It not only emphasizes technical aspects such as tajw?d and makhraj but also fosters emotional closeness between teacher and student. Despite challenges such as varying memorization abilities, high target loads, and a lack of independent practice, several supporting factors such as student motivation, discipline, intensive teacher guidance, and the use of murottal media help students make significant progress in memorization. Overall, the talaqq? musy?fahah method has proven effective in improving the quality of recitation, the quantity of memorized verses, and the students’ retention of Qur’anic passages. Therefore, the findings of this study can be a reference for Al-Quran educators, as well as an innovation and developmen

Religious and Cultural Moderation in Responding to the Challenges of Globalisation in Local Communities

This study explores the implementation of religious moderation in the cultural system of Kupang City society, East Nusa Tenggara, which has diverse demographic characteristics. Using a critical ethnographic approach with data collection techniques of participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, this study identifies four main manifestations of religious moderation: (1) shared rituals and traditions, (2) local wisdom in conflict resolution, (3) interfaith social networks, and (4) transformation of religious values ??in contemporary cultural practices. Rituals such as Bonet Manekat and Haroan Bupolo function as interfaith meeting spaces, while local wisdom mechanisms such as Suf Natoni and Lais Manekat effectively manage potential religious-based conflicts. Interfaith social networks formed through the customary kinship system (bela-metan) become a moral infrastructure that forms the ethics of interfaith relations. However, the study also identifies challenges in the form of the influence of globalization, the politicization of religious identity, economic transformation, and the weakening of the transmission of local wisdom values. In response, the community developed a strategy for revitalizing tradition, strengthening interfaith dialogue based on culture, transforming moderation values ??through contemporary arts and culture, and integrating religious moderation values ??into regional development policies. These findings enrich the understanding of the dialectical relationship between religion and culture and provide a new perspective in the implementation of religious moderation policies that are contextual and based on local wisdo

This study focuses on the role of Adiwiyata Cadres in developing environmental awareness as a form of students' social capital at MTsN 10 Tasikmalaya. The background of this research stems from the low quality of the environment in Indonesia, particularly in Tasikmalaya Regency, which is caused by a lack of public awareness regarding the importance of environmental preservation. This study aims to describe the implementation, impact, as well as the challenges and efforts made by Adiwiyata Cadres in Islamic junior high schools in shaping students' environmentally caring character. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that Adiwiyata Cadres at MTsN 10 Tasikmalaya internalize Islamic values. Their activities positively influence the development of students' environmental awareness and strengthen the religious-based social capital within the school environment. The obstacles faced by the Adiwiyata Cadres come from both internal and external cadre management. This study supports the idea that Adiwiyata Cadres must be continuously developed as integral to character education and sustainable education in Islamic-based junior secondary school

Character education is an effort to instill virtuous values aimed at shaping a generation with strong morals in accordance with societal norms. This study aims to examine the impact of the Kaleng Impian (Dream Can) program in instilling character education, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation among students at MI NU Hidayatun Najah Tuban. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a case study approach. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students at MI NU Hidayatun Najah Tuban, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The study refers to Thomas Lickona’s three components of character education: Moral Knowing, one’s ability to evaluate oneself; Moral Feeling, the drive to do good and the ability to control oneself; and Moral Action, the implementation of moral knowledge and feelings through actions aligned with established norms. Thus, the researcher seeks to explore how the Kaleng Impian program is implemented from the perspective of character education through the lenses of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. The findings reveal that the Kaleng Impian program at MI NU Hidayatun Najah successfully cultivates character values such as responsibility, tolerance, and religiosity based on moral knowing, feeling, and action, thereby contributing to the formation of students' character. However, several inhibiting factors were identified, including limited teacher understanding, low parental involvement, diverse levels of student comprehension, and the absence of a standardized evaluation syste

This study aims to explore the dynamics of Islamic studies from a Western perspective, through the views of Indonesian alumni who have studied at McGill University, Canada. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, this research explores how cross-cultural academic experiences can shape a more critical, contextual, and interdisciplinary understanding of Islam. The main focus of this study is the paradigm shift in Islamic studies in the West, which was initially dominated by orientalism, towards a more open and dialogical scientific approach. Based on in-depth interviews with three McGill alumni who are actively involved in academics and religious activities in Indonesia, the findings suggest that McGill University plays a significant role in shaping reflective Islamic thought, adaptive to social realities, and supporting moderate values such as democracy, human rights, and pluralism. The implications of these findings are crucial for the development of Islamic studies in Indonesia, offering an approach that is more inclusive and relevant to Indonesia's social and cultural dynamic

Implementation of Training Management for Leadership Development

This study aims to analyze the implementation of training management in supporting leadership development, identify obstacles encountered, and formulate effective strategies. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that: the implementation of training management has been carried out systematically through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Training planning is based on competency needs, HR nomination results, and the results of coordination with educational and industrial stakeholders. The training implementation uses a blended learning approach and involves professional instructors from both internal and external sources. Training evaluation is conducted using an outcomes-based model to ensure participants can apply leadership skills in the workplace. The main obstacles faced include the high turnover of school principals that hinders program sustainability, limited teacher participation due to geographical and information constraints, and the limited number of experienced instructors. However, BBPPMPV BBL has responded to these challenges by developing an online monitoring system, expanding partnerships, and refining the mapping of training needs periodically. Strategies to improve the effectiveness of training management are carried out through a cross-sectoral collaborative approach, the integration of a merit system in participant selection, and an emphasis on strengthening leadership character based on the values of integrity, adaptability, and innovation. The Teaching Factory approach is an important part of forming leaders who are resilient, solution-oriented, and responsive to change

Parenting Patterns in the Perspective of Hadith: A Literature Review

This article aims to describe the concept and urgency of child-rearing according to the Prophet Muhammad saw based on authentic hadiths, as well as to explain its contribution to shaping children's character from an Islamic educational perspective. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research methods. Primary sources include authoritative hadith collections such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan at-Tirmidzi, and Musnad Ahmad. Secondary sources include hadith commentaries and contemporary Islamic educational literature. Data collection techniques were conducted through documentary studies, then analysed using content and thematic analysis approaches. Data validity was maintained through source triangulation and hadith quality checks using the takhrij method. The research findings indicate that the concept of the Prophet Muhammad's parenting style includes compassion, exemplary behaviour (uswah hasanah), respect for the child's existence, instilling manners, and early spiritual education. This pattern is not only normative but also practical and contextual for application in child-rearing in the modern era, which is filled with moral and social challenges. These findings contribute theoretically to the development of Islamic education science and practically to Muslim families in establishing sunnah-based parenting patterns
