Children in fisherman laborer families in Kurandak Village, Deli Serdang Regency, continue to face serious issues regarding the fulfillment of their fundamental rights, particularly in the areas of education, protection, and care. Normatively, Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) explicitly regulates the responsibilities of parents in fulfilling these rights comprehensively. This study aims to analyze the implementation of child rights protection in fisherman laborer families from the perspective of the Child Protection Law and Islamic legal norms, identify the inhibiting factors, and examine the relevance of the concept of hadhanah in the context of coastal communities. This research employs a qualitative method with a juridical-sociological approach. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with six respondents, consisting of parents, teenagers, children, and community figures. Secondary data were derived from primary legal sources, including Law Number 35 of 2014 and the Compilation of Islamic Law. The findings reveal that children’s rights—particularly the rights to education, protection from labor exploitation, and access to healthcare—are not fully fulfilled. Major obstacles include economic hardship, early work culture, low parental awareness, and lack of government support. This research implies that protecting children's rights in fisherman communities requires a synergistic approach that combines normative legal frameworks and community-based sociological strategies. Local governments and religious institutions must develop educational and mentoring programs rooted in Islamic legal values, particularly hadith, to enhance parental awareness and child welfar

As stipulated in Islam, marital responsibilities will remain even after the marriage ends. Therefore, the term "maintenance" is known. The provision of maintenance is divided into two types: maintenance provided within marriage and maintenance provided outside of marriage. One type of maintenance provided outside of marriage is the iddah maintenance, which is the mandatory maintenance provided to the wife during her iddah period. However, its implementation deviates from the rules. The purpose of this study is to confirm the obligation of iddah maintenance for husbands. This type of research is an empirical juridical study with a case study approach. The research technique was conducted through observation and interviews with informants in Demangan Village, Bangkalan, using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. Analyzing the applicable regulations, it is clear that the provisions of maintenance are well-regulated. However, in reality, many residents of Demangan Village deviate and refuse to fulfill their maintenance obligations. This study contributes to strengthening the sense of responsibility of providing iddah maintenance for husbands to their ex-wives during the iddah period of divorc

One of the strong beliefs among the Madurese community is the inevitability that the child of adultery will inherit the habits of the biological father who committed adultery. This study is called the heredity of the child of adultery. This view is rooted in a tradition that directly links the nature and character of children with heredity. This study uses an empirical legal method with a legal anthropology approach to examine in depth the practice of Madurese rejection of children resulting from adultery (children of adultery). Primary legal materials were obtained from observations and interviews with the Banyubunih Village community. Secondary legal materials were obtained from concepts relevant to the issues in the study. The results of this study identified that the Banyubunih community considers heredity as a very influential factor in determining the nature, character, and behavior of individuals, especially in children of adultery. This belief is based on the principles of biological determinism and hereditary essentialism, which argue that negative traits and deviant behavior are inherited through the "dirty blood" of parents. As a result, children born from extramarital relationships are placed in the lowest social position, without the opportunity to demonstrate their morals and behavior independentl

Sex education at the junior high school level is an important aspect in shaping the character and self-awareness of adolescents regarding the biological, psychological, and social changes they experience. This study aims to examine sex education as a shared responsibility between teachers, parents, and students by highlighting effective communication patterns in its implementation. The method used is a literature review (library research) with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through a review of various journals, academic books, and recent research reports discussing sex education collaboration in schools and families. The results of the study show that open and empathetic communication between teachers, parents, and students is a key factor in the success of sex education. Teachers act as facilitators who convey scientific knowledge and moral values contextually, while parents serve as primary educators who instill moral norms and responsibilities at home. The synergy of two-way communication between schools and families has been proven to increase students' understanding of sexuality issues and reduce risky behaviour. This study emphasises that effective sex education must be designed collaboratively, be sensitive to culture and religion, and be oriented towards the formation of healthy and responsible attitudes. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the development of adaptive and sustainable sex education communication models in formal education and family environment
