This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy and teacher academic support on students’ time management skills in extracurricular activities. In the context of modern education, student involvement in non-academic activities demands balanced time management skills. This study used a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The research sample amounted to 60 extracurricular coach teachers and subject teachers selected through the total sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire on three main variables: self-efficacy, teacher academic support, and student time management. Validity was tested through item total correlation, and reliability was tested with Cronbach’s Alpha. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 through multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that teacher self-efficacy had a significant effect on students’ time management ability, while teacher academic support did not show a significant effect, partially. However, simultaneously, both variables contributed 47.6% to time management. This finding emphasizes the importance of the teacher’s role in guiding students to manage time in a balanced manner between academic and extracurricular activities. Hopefully, this study can serve as a foundation for developing more responsive teaching strategies and teacher guidance, enabling students to manage their time effectively and achieve a balanced performance between academic and extracurricular activities, while also providing recommendations for schools to enhance professional development programs for teachers with a focus on time management guidance strategie

The Development of The Hidayatul Qori’ fi Qiroati ar-Rasmil Utsmani lil Mubtadi’ Textbook Using the Ummi Method

This study aims to design, implement, and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the textbook Hid?yatul Q?ri’ f? Qir?ati ar-Rasmil Utsm?ni lil Mubtadi’, based on the Ummi Method, in enhancing elementary madrasah students’ understanding of the Qur’anic writing structure and recitation system by authentic sanad and rasm. The research contributes to the discourse of foundational Qur’anic education, particularly in the introduction of the Uthm?nic script (rasm ‘Utsm?n?) and dhabt rules as employed in the Madinah Mushaf. The lack of structured learning media that integrates contextual learning approaches with the authentic characteristics of the Mushaf motivated the development of this textbook. This study adopts a research and development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model—Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate—systematically applied at MIN 1 Jombang. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, expert validation surveys, and product trials involving 15 fifth-grade students who had previously studied ghor?b and tajw?d using the Ummi Method. The validation results showed an average feasibility score of 86.21%, and field testing indicated significant improvement in the accuracy of recitation and recognition of dhabt symbols. The study’s main contribution lies in pioneering authoritative instructional media on rasm and dhabt for early-level education by combining the strength of qir?’ah transmission (sanad) with a pedagogical design that is visual, repetitive, and auditory. This textbook extends the scope of the Ummi Method toward standardized advanced tajw?d learning. The findings demonstrate that integrating classical methodologies with Mushaf Madinah-based instructional design can establish a strong foundation of recitational accuracy from an early age, making it relevant for adoption by other Qur’anic educational institutions nationally

Application of Group Counselling With the Cognitive Reappraisal Technique to Enhance Empathy Among Students

Empathy is an essential skill in building healthy social relationships; however, in early adolescence, this ability is still developing and requires environmental support. This study aims to enhance students’ empathy through group counselling using the cognitive reappraisal technique at MTs IS Roudhotul Qurro. The research employed a qualitative case study approach involving eight Year VII students who demonstrated tendencies of low empathy in social interactions. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analysed using the Miles and Huberman model. The intervention was implemented over five progressive sessions, ranging from trust-building to the application of reappraisal in social simulations. The findings revealed a gradual increase in empathy, both during sessions and in daily life, including greater social engagement, communication initiative, and concern for peers. Follow-up monitoring also confirmed positive behavioural changes among the students. These findings demonstrate that the cognitive reappraisal technique is effective in enhancing students’ empathy both cognitively and affectively

Determination Of The Amount Of Dowry At Lampung Traditional Marriage In A Review Of Fiqh Munakahat

This article examines the determination of relatively high dowries (mahar/maskawin) in Lampung Melinting traditional marriages in East Lampung and their conformity with Islamic law and Indonesian marriage law. Using an empirical juridical approach, data were collected through interviews with traditional leaders, religious leaders, community figures, and married couples, supported by statutory and conceptual materials. The findings show that the amount and form of dowry are not fixed, but are negotiated through family deliberation, taking into account the groom’s economic capacity and the expectations of the bride’s family within local custom. A high dowry is perceived as a symbol of pride, social status, and the groom’s seriousness in building a household, but it may also trigger social pressure, land sales, and economic burden. From the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence, there is no minimum or maximum standard of dowry as long as it is lawful, valuable, and agreed upon willingly. The study concludes that the Lampung Melinting practice of determining dowry reflects a dynamic interplay between religious norms, state law, and living custom, which needs continuous contextualization in modern society and justice

This study aims to explore the integration of the thoughts of Hadratussyaikh KH. Muhammad Hasyim Asy’ari into the curriculum of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at Hasyim Asy’ari University, Tebuireng. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, the research highlights the actualisation of pesantren values inherited from KH. Hasyim Asy’ari within the context of contemporary Islamic higher education. The main focus is on three core pillars: religious moderation, character development, and the preservation of pesantren traditions, which form the foundation of a sustainable Islamic education vision. The findings indicate that Hadratussyaikh’s ideas—such as the importance of manners (adab), sincerity, accessible scholarship, and a moderate religious spirit—have been integrated into both the curriculum and learning practices. These values not only shape a religious and inclusive academic atmosphere but also strengthen students' identities as agents of change rooted in traditional Islamic scholarship. This integration is reflected in course content and teaching methods, as well as students' religious and social activities, all directed toward forming academically excellent individuals with strong morals and adaptability to contemporary challenges. Thus, this study affirms that KH. Hasyim Asy’ari’s ideas are both relevant and strategic in formulating a model of Islamic religious education that bridges tradition and modernity. The results are expected to serve as a reference for the development of contextual and transformative pesantren-based curricul

Analysis of Learning Obstacles in the Damair Rules Material in Arabic Language Learning

This study aims to analyze learning obstacles in mastering the rules of damair, particularly damair munfa?ilah and damair mutta?ilah, in Arabic language learning among Grade X.1 students at Madrasah Aliyah Al Inayah, Bandung. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through diagnostic tests and interviews, involving students who had previously studied the topic of damair. Interview participants were selected using maximum variation sampling, a type of purposive sampling that considers the diversity in students' performance levels. The analysis revealed that students' learning obstacles can be classified into three categories based on Brousseau’s theory: (1) ontogenic obstacles, related to students’ limited vocabulary and cognitive readiness; (2) epistemological obstacles, involving misconceptions and conceptual errors in understanding the rules of damair; and (3) didactical obstacles, resulting from unsystematic instructional approaches, particularly in explaining the function of damair within i‘rab structures, which hinder students’ comprehensive understanding of grammatical relations. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a basis for developing more targeted teaching strategies, thereby improving students’ understanding of damair rules and supporting the overall enhancement of their Arabic language proficiency
