    Dissertation Writing amid Covid-19: Challenges, Consequences, and Responses

    Coronavirus disease has challenged and affected teachers, students, and researchers worldwide. This study reports the problems and impacts that the English language Master students experienced in writing their dissertations (at Mohamed Seddik Ben Yahia University, Jijel) amid Coronavirus pandemic and describes how they coped. A questionnaire was administered to 12 supervisors and 33 Master candidates. The Results indicate that the students faced problems like the decline in mental health and deficiency in telecommunication means, which resulted, for instance, in the tardiness of assignment completion and lower quality end-products. However, the students, teachers, and administration employed successful coping strategies and the students discovered new research techniques such as Google Form questionnaires. Consequently, this study suggests a better preparation of the Algerian students, teachers, and universities to remote education through information and communication technologies and online skill-training

    .تهدف الدراسة الحالیة إلى الإجابة التساؤل التالي: ما فاعلیة برنامج قائم على اللعب لتنمیة مستوى دافعیة التعلم لدى تلامیذ الطور الأول من التعلیم الابتدائي؟ وتنص فرضیة الدراسة على أنه: توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائیة في مستوى دافعیة التعلم لدى تلامیذ الطور الأول من التعلیم الابتدائي بین درجات القیاس القبلي ودرجات القیاس البعدي لصالح القیاس البعدي, وقد اعتمدت على المنهج التجریبي وتكونت عینة الدراسة من 10 تلامیذ من السنة أولى ابتدائي لمدرسة "العربي بني 02"- مدینة قمار- للسنة الدراسیة 2016/2015؛ وتم استخدام شبكة ملاحظة تقیس دافعیة التعلم لدى تلامیذ الطور الأول من التعلیم الابتدائي؛ وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى تَحقق فرضیتها ووجود فروق دالة إحصائیة في مستوى دافعیة التعلم لدى تلامیذ الطور الأول من التعلیم الابتدائي بین درجات القیاس القبلي ودرجات القیاس البعدي لصالح القیاس البعدي؛ وهو ما یدل على فاعلیة البرنامج التدریبي المُعد.The present study aims at answering the following question: What is the effectiveness of a game-based program to develop the level of learning motivation with the primary school first-stage students? The hypothesis of the study is that: There are statistically significant differences in the level of learning motivation for first-stage students of primary school between the grades of the pre testing and the post-testing grades in favor of the post-testing. For this the experimental design was adopted. The study sample consisted of 10 students from the first year of the "Arabi Bani 02" school for the academic year 2015/2016. An observation network was used that test the learning motivation of the first stage of primary school. The results of the study indicated the existence of statistically significant differences in the level of learning motivation for the first-stage students of the primary school between the grades of the pre-testing and the post-testing grades in favor of the post-testing; which indicates the effectiveness of the training program prepared

    Patients life Satisfaction with high blood pressure: A comparative study between sexes and ages in Batna, Algeria

    The study aimed at identifying the patients life satisfaction with high blood pressure by studying the differences between the sexes and ages. In order to achieve the goal of the study, the questionnaire on life satisfaction of Diner and his colleagues, 1985, was applied on a sample of 100 patients from both sexes suffering from high blood pressure between the ages of 30 and 97 years. They were chosen randomly and we relied on the comparative approach. The results of the study indicated that there were differences between males and females in the satisfaction of life and it was in favor of males. The results also indicated that there were no differences between ages in life satisfaction.     School psychological stress among baccalaureate students: A field study on Setif Secondary schools

    هدفت هذه الدراسة  الكشف على مستويات الضغوط النفسية المدرسية، والفروق بين الجنسين، لدى عينة من التلاميذ السنة الثالثة ثانوي المقبلين على اجتياز امتحان شهادة البكالوريا ببعض ثانويات ولاية سطيف .  وبلغت عينة الدراسة (164) تلميذا وتلميذة، للموسم الدراسي 2018-2019 والذين تم اختيارهم عشوائيا من ثلاث ثانويات. وطبق عليهم استبيان  الضغوط النفسية المدرسية الذي أعدّه الباحثان. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود مستوى متوسط للضغوط النفسية المدرسية لدى التلاميذ حيث بلغ المتوسط الحسابي الكلي (104.53) ، وبنسبة (%65.83 )، وأيضا إلى وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين الذكور والإناث و لصالح الإناث في الضغوط النفسية المدرسية.The current study aims at detecting levels of school stress, and the differences between the two sexes.The sample study randomly selected, consisted of 164 third year baccalaureate students of high school at the wilaya of Setif, for the school year 2018- 2019.A questionnaire on psychological stress designed for the study by the researchers was adopted.The results of the study showed that there was an average level of psychological stress in school for students, besides, there were statistically significant differences between boys and girls and in favor of girls who were more stressful than boys

    تهدف الدراسة الحالية الى التعرف على مدى وجود أفكار لاعقلانية لدى الشباب البطال وتحديد درجتها ومعرفة إلى أي مدى قد يؤثر وجود مثل هذه الأفكار في الشاب البطال و التعــرف علــى الاخــتلاف في الأفكار اللاعقلانية  بــين البطــالين حســب متغيرات الجنس، السن، الحالة الاجتماعية والمستوى التعليمي باستعمال المنهج الوصفي على عينة تكونت من 701 شاب بطال من الجنسين و استعمال مقياس الأفكار اللاعقلانية المصمم من طرف Malouff  و: (Schutte سنة 1986 أسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن : - وجود مستوى مرتفع من الأفكار اللاعقلانية لدى الشباب البطال - لا توجد فروق في متوسط الأفكار اللاعقلانية بين الجنسين وحسب متغير فئات السن ولا باختلاف المستوى التعليمي للشاب البطال.The current study aims at identifying the existence of irrational thoughts among unemployed youth, and to determine the degree to what extent may affect the existence of irrational thoughts in the unemployed youth, also to identify the difference in irrational thoughts among the unemployed according to gender, age, social status and educational level.The descriptive method was used on a sample that consisted of 701 young men of both sexes.In addition, the irrational thoughts scale designed by Malouff and Schutte in 1986 was used to achieve the study goal.The results of the study indicated that:- There is a high level of irrational ideas among unemployed youth - There were no differences in the average of irrational ideas between both sexes, the age and the educational level of the unemployed youth

    يهدف البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على مفهوم الالتزام التنظيمي لدى معلمات رياض وفق متغيرات (سنوات الخدمة و الحالة الاجتماعية)  ولتحقيق أهداف البحث اختارت الباحثة مجتمع البحث من معلمات الرياض الحكومية التابعة إلى المديرية العامة لتربية الرصافة الأولى في مدينة بغداد للعام الدراسي 2018 / 2019  . والبالغ عددهن (455) معلمة إذا اختيرت عينة التحليل الإحصائي (140) معلمة وعينة التطبيق النهائي (100) معلمة بصورة عشوائية  , وبعد تطبيق المقياس على أفراد العينة وجدت أن أفراد العينة من معلمات رياض الأطفال يتمتعن بالالتزام التنظيمي ، إذ جاءت النتائج بمتوسط حسابي أعلى من المتوسط الفرضي للمقياس .كما إن متغير سنوات الخدمة له دور في مفهوم الالتزام التنظيمي مع عينة معلمات رياض الأطفال ولصالح  فئة عشر سنوات فأكثر.  ـ إن متغير الحالة الاجتماعية له دور في مفهوم الالتزام التنظيمي مع عينة معلمات رياض الأطفال لصالح فئة المعلمات المتزوجات.  The research aims to identify the concept of organizational commitment of the teachers of Riyadh according to the variables (years of service and social status) and to achieve the research objectives. The researcher chose the research community of the Riyadh Governmental Parameters affiliated to the General Directorate for the education of the first Rusafa in the city of Baghdad for the academic year 2018/2019. (455) teachers. If the sample of the statistical analysis was chosen (140), the parameter and the sample of the final application (100) were randomly assigned.The sample of kindergartens teachers enjoy the organizational commitment, as the results came at an average of higher than the average mean of the scale.The variable years of service have a role in the concept of organizational commitment with a sample of kindergarten teachers and for the benefit of ten years and more.The variable of the social situation has a role in the concept of the organizational commitment with the sample kindergarten teachers in favor of the class of married teachers

    هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن التنمر المدرسي وعلاقته بالمناخ الأسري لدى تلاميذ السنة الخامسة ابتدائي على عينة عشوائية قدرت بـ (100) تلميذ، حيث استخدمنا المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي. وبتطبيق مقياسي المناخ الأسري لكفافي (2010) ومقياس التنمر المدرسي للصبحيين (2007) بعد التأكد من صدقهما وثباتهما، وبحساب معامل الارتباط بيرسون واختبارات للفروق تم التوصل إلى أنه: -توجد علاقة بين التنمر المدرسي والمناخ الأسري في أبعاده: اللاأنسنة، والحب المصطنع، والمناخ الوجداني غير السوي، والأسرة المدمجة لدى تلاميذ الخامسة ابتدائي؛ -توجد فروق لدى تلاميذ الخامسة ابتدائي في مستوى التنمر المدرسي وفي المناخ الأسري تعزى إلى متغير الجنس وهي لصالح الذكور.This study aimed at identifying the relationship between school bullying and family climate.The sample study consisted of 100 puoils from the 5th elementary gradeThe correlative descriptive approach was adopted to achieve the study purpose.The study tools that applied were the scale for family climate set up by Kafāfī (2010), and school bullying scale that was established by al-Ṣubḥiyyīn(2007).The study results indicated :there was a relationship between family climate(dehumanizing, artificial love, emotional climate, integrated family) , and school bullying among the 5th elementary grade pupils there were statistically significant differences in School bullying and Family climate among the 5th elementary grade pupils attributed to the gender variable in favor of males

    هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة فيما إذا كانت هناك علاقة بين تأكيد الذات والسلوك العدواني لدى عينة من المراهقين مجهولي النسب، وفيما إذا كانت هناك فروق دالة إحصائيا في كل من مستوى تأكيد الذات والسلوك العدواني تعزى لمتغير النوع، والتعرف على نمط السلوك العدواني الشائع لدى عينة الدراسة. وبعد تطبيق مقياسي السلوك العدواني وتأكيد الذات على عينة قوامها 45 مراهقا من فئة مجهولي النسب تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية منتظمة. وباستخدام المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، ومعالجة البيانات إحصائيا أسفرت النتائج عن وجود مستوى متوسط من السلوك العدواني وتأكيد الذات لدى المراهقين مجهولي النسب، وعدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في كل من مستوى تأكيد الذات والسلوك العدواني تعزى لمتغير النوع. وكان الغضب هو نمط السلوك العدواني الشائع لدى عينة الدراسة، بالإضافة إلى عدم وجود علاقة دالة إحصائيا بين تأكيد الذات الذات والسلوك العدواني لدى المراهقين مجهولي النسب.This study aimed at identifying the nature of the relationship between self-assertion and aggressive behavior among unknown parentage adolescents, and whether there were significant differences in both self-assertion and aggressive behavior due to sex.Its purposive sample consisted of 45 unknown parentage adolescents.Concerning the tools of the study were a questionnaires of aggressive behavior and self-assertion.The results indicated a moderate level of aggressive behavior and self-assurance among unknown parentage adolescents. Also, there was no significant differences in both self-assertion and aggressive behavior in accordance to sex. But, anger was the common pattern of aggressive behavior in the sample of the study; and there was no significant correlation between self-assertion and aggressive behavior among the unknown parentage adolescents
