    Multimedia and e-Learning in the time of COVID-19

    The coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented crisis in all areas, especially in the field of education, this emergency has led to the closure of institutions and schools. In this context and in order to compensate for the suspension of face-to-face courses and to ensure pedagogical continuity, governments have resorted to distance and online education (e-Learning), supported by multimedia technologies. In the face of this health crisis, one could say that it is this very expansion of multimedia technology that has facilitated distance learning. However, distance and online learning / teaching in addition to its effectiveness, it has some drawbacks

    The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the most serious disruption of education systems in the new millennium. Algeria is not of any exception since most of its institutions mainly in economy and education are still threatened causing the collapse of years of progress. However, the sanitary crisis has stimulated innovation within the education sector. Distance learning solutions have been developed as quick responses to the government in order to support the education follow up. The present paper provides a critical analysis of the online education in the Algerian universities during the pandemic crisis. An electronic interview designed to teachers and learners as a research design based on a mixed research methodology was implemented to set the future framework of a successful e-Learning in the Algerian Higher Education. The results show that Education Continuity through e-learning platforms remains a debatable concern especially during unexpected situations

    This study aims at finding out the doctors ’attitudes towards the organizational climate of the health institution in the state of Skikda. a questionnaire was used in data collection; it was distributed on a sample of 40 doctors.the results indicated:-The presence of negative trends among doctors work conditions, after the the application of incentives and rewards system and after the pattern of supervision.-the presence of positive trends towards communication and technology in light of the repercussions of the Corona virus.Consequently, doctors have negative trends towards the organizational climate change in the health institution in light of the repercussions of the Corona virus

    Promoting Learners’ Appropriate Conjunctions Use in Argumentative Essay Writing through a Text-Based Approach

    This study hypothesised that adopting a Text-Based Approach (TBA), that is using a variety of text samples to highlight the argumentative essay conventions, would enable learner-writers to write more-efficient argumentative essays, and hence, achieve proficiency in argumentative writing. More particularly, this research suggested that the more EFL learners are aware of the appropriate use of linking words and phrases relevant to the argumentative essays, the coherent and cohesive their writing would be. Therefore, methodologically, the researchers opted for a mixed-methods approach. Relevantly, a quasi-experiment and case study strategies were chosen. To collect data, a test and an interview were held with the concerned participants. The targeted population was EFL learners at the Teachers’ Training School of Constantine (ENSC). For the sample, a group of second year students was selected. In doing so, the researchers used the purposive sampling technique. The results indicated that integrating reading in the writing course through the adoption of TBA is efficient since it could strengthen theargumentative essay conventions. Additionally, interview results held with some writing teachers at the ENSC indicated that they are satisfied with the proposed approach to teach writing and, therefore, advocated its adoption in the instruction of writing for EFL learners

    The study aimed at identifying psychological pressures and their relationship to contentment with e-learning In the shadow of the Corona pandemic for Isra University students.The researchers used the relational descriptive approach.The study population consisted of (5120) male and female students from Isra University, and the study sample consisted of (256) male and female students, chosen in an accessible way. Researchers applied a measure of psychological stress, and a questionnaire for satisfaction with e-learning. Electronically through the university’s educational platform, “Model”. The results showed that psychological pressure among Al-Isra University students came at a low level, and that satisfaction with e-learning came to a large degree, and there was a statistically significant inverse relationship between psychological pressure and satisfaction with e-learning, and the results showed that Statistically significant differences in psychological stress are attributed to the gender variable, the social status, the school year, and the college, and indicated that there are no statistically significant differences in satisfaction with e-learning due to the gender variable and the school year, while differences were found in the social situation in favor of married students, and in College variable for the benefit of law school students

    Autism management programs between common goals and the difference in intervention methods

    This study aimed at identifying the main programs approved for the management of people with autistic disorders, their theoretical foundations, their mechanisms, their efficiencies, their commonalities and the differences between them.The results obtained showed that these programs, despite their common objectives in independence for the autistic child, his social integration and the important role of parents in the success of care, they differ in the methods of intervention; because behavioral referral programs depend on intensive intervention focused on undesirable behavior and skill acquisition, without paying attention to developmental differences; whereas developmental referral programs depend on non-intensive developmental intervention of the child and his abilities without paying attention to his lacks.In terms of effectiveness, results have shown that intensive intervention programs are more effective than others

    The present study aimed at investigating the differences in the level of emotional intelligence among the third year secondary school students in laghouat city.2 , taking into account 2 variables, sex and academic specialization.The study sample consisted of 250 students , specialised in literature and science, were selected randomly from 3 secondary schools in Lagouat.The study tools used was the emotional intelligence scale prepared by « Nabilzayed ».The study results indicated that there was no differences in emotional intelligence among the study sample in accordance to sex and academic specialization

    The aim of the study was to reveal the importance of student’s mediation and problem solving ability among themselves from the perspective of social workers and the psychologists of the targeted schools.The study was a mixture of descriptive analytical method and quasi- experimental method tested through a training programme for student mediation and a questionnaire of students’ ability to solve their problems among themselves.The questionnaire targeted (44) social workers and psychologists besides to (24) students.The study results revealed that students’ mediation reflect their ability to problem solving from the point of view of the psychologists and social workers; and the effectiveness of the training programme.     From online education to e-containment: a look back at the experience of French teachers at university during the Coronavirus

    The objective of this contribution is to draw up an inventory of online teaching during a period of confinement. It is about presenting the representations of a new experience, strewn with pitfalls, encountered by most university teachers and more particularly those of the department of letters and French language at Mentouri Constantine 1 University.Our approach is based on a questionnaire administered to these teachers, aimed at identifying the strategies deployed by them in order to make contact with their students, pass on teachable knowledge and assess knowledge.The results show us that the asynchronous mode dominates the other modes of distance education, no doubt due to the ease of use of the e-mail and the faculty site, excluding almost any form of real-time communication such as “chat” or videoconferencing, thus posing problems of monitoring and evaluation
