    Effect of Plyometric Training on Explosive Power in Speed Climbing World Record Athletes

    This study aims to determine the effect of the plyometric method on improving explosive power in athletes competing in the speed world record climbing discipline. The research employed an experimental method with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sample consisted of 7 speed world record climbing athletes (aged 15–18 years) using total sampling over a 6-week training program. The instrument used was the vertical jump test to measure explosive power. Data analysis was carried out using a t-test with SPSS version 26. The results showed a significant improvement in lower limb explosive power after the plyometric training program. The average post-test results showed a 6% increase compared to the pre-test. This indicates that plyometric training is effective in improving the lower limb power needed in climbing, especially in the speed world record discipline, which requires explosive movements. It can be concluded that the plyometric training method contributes positively to improving explosive power in speed world record climbing athletes. This research is expected to serve as a reference for coaches in designing more specific and targeted training programs

    The Effect of Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) Learning Model on Improving Students' Social and Cognitive Skills in Physical Education at SMK Merdeka Bandung

    This study aims to analyze the effect of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGFU) learning model on improving students' social and cognitive skills in physical education. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with control and experimental groups that were given pre-tests and post-tests. The research sample consisted of 50 students in grade XI at SMK Merdeka Bandung who were randomly selected from existing classes. The experimental group received treatment using the TGFU model, while the control group followed conventional learning. The instruments used to measure social skills were the Social Skills Inventory (SSI), and to measure cognitive skills, the Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) test was used. The results of data analysis using an independent t-test showed that there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group on both variables, namely social skills with a significance value of 0.040 and cognitive skills with a significance value of 0.000. These findings indicate that the application of the TGFU model can significantly improve students' social and cognitive skills, so that it can be implemented as an effective approach in physical education learning. Random assignment was carried out within predetermined class boundaries; however, this quasi-experimental design still provides a valid picture of the influence of the TGFU model

    This study aimed to evaluate the effect of feed treatments on Average Daily Gain (ADG) and feed conversion in rams. The sheep we used were 16 Fat Tail Sheep (FTS) with four treatments and four replications applied: P0 (ad libitum field grass hay as control); P1 (P0 + pellets 0.5% of body weight); P2 (P0 + pellets 1% of body weight); and P3 (P0 + pellets 1.5% of body weight). The parameters observed were average daily gain and feed conversion, and the data were analyzed by ANOVA and further tested using Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that a significant difference (p<0.05) in average daily gain, with the best treatment in P3 at 52.81 g/head/day. Feed conversion also showed a significant difference (p<0.05) between the best treatments in P3, with the best treatment at 15.74. It can be concluded that the addition of pellets with a dose of 0.5% to 1.5% of body weight can increase average daily gain and feed conversion. Therefore, the use of local pellet feed has strong potential as an alternative fattening ration to optimise sheep production performance

    Putak (Corypha utan Lamk) is a locally abundant starch source in Eastern Indonesia with emerging potential as a functional binder for feed wafer production. This study aims to analyze the chemical properties of putak starch and its role as a binder in feed wafer production, and to compare it with other commonly used binding materials. The study was conducted using a descriptive approach based on various scientific publications obtained from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases using the keywords: “adhesive, Corypha utan, feed wafer, gelatinization, physical quality, putak, and binder”. This review summarizes current evidence on the chemical composition and techno-functional properties of putak starch in relation to binder performance requirements. Putak contains high carbohydrate levels (85–87%) and substantial starch content (64–67%), with an amylose–amylopectin ratio comparable to tapioca and sago. These characteristics support desirable functional behaviours, including gelatinisation ability. Comparative literature shows that starch-based binders consistently improve physical qualities, including wafer durability index (WDI), density, impact resistance, total solubility, and water absorption. Given its beneficial properties and local availability, putak represents a promising sustainable alternative to commercial starch binders. Further focused studies are needed to determine binding efficiency and storage stability

    INTEGRATING SOCIO-SCIENTIFIC ISSUES (SSI) APPROACH BASED ON SDGS FOR GENERATION ALPHA IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

    Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI)-based learning has become increasingly significant in addressing global challenges, particularly for Generation Alpha, who are growing up in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the SSI-based learning approach within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the elementary school level. A qualitative research approach with a case study design was employed, involving observations, interviews, and document analysis of educators and students from several elementary schools. The findings indicate that implementing SSI-based learning contributes to enhancing students' understanding of global issues while simultaneously strengthening critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Educators play a central role in designing interactive and technology-based learning strategies to increase student engagement. However, challenges remain in implementing this approach, including teachers' readiness and limited learning resources. Therefore, integrating SSI-based learning within the SDG framework in elementary education can be an effective strategy for improving students' scientific literacy and social awareness. Further research is needed to develop training strategies for educators and expand the implementation of this method across various educational contexts. In conclusion, integrating the SSI approach based on SDGs into science education in elementary schools has great potential to enhance scientific literacy, social awareness, and 21st-century skills among students

    Learning to write Sundanese descriptive texts presents several challenges, particularly in the limited availability of engaging and contextualized learning media. Students often lack real-life experiences related to the objects they are asked to describe, and the absence of interactive media contributes to the low quality of their descriptive writing. This study aims to analyze the needs for Virtual Reality media to enhance students’ skills in writing Sundanese descriptive texts at the junior high school level. A descriptive qualitative method was employed in this research. The participants included 8 Sundanese language teachers and 145 junior high school students from Bandung City. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews conducted during the 2024/2025 academic year. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative techniques involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that students’ ability to write Sundanese descriptive texts remains relatively low, primarily due to the lack of innovative and immersive learning media. Teachers also face challenges in providing learning experiences that allow students to observe or visualize descriptive objects directly. Virtual Reality shows potential as a promising solution, offering immersive, simulated environments that help students gain contextual understanding. These findings suggest that the development of Virtual Reality media is urgently needed to support students’ learning needs in writing Sundanese descriptive texts. Furthermore, this study serves as a foundation for future research focusing on the design and effectiveness of Virtual Reality-based learning media in enhancing descriptive writing skills in Sundanese language education

    The purpose of this study was to determine the level of application of integrated crop management technology and its impact on the income of hybrid corn farmers, the amount of income of hybrid corn farmers who use PTT and Non-PTT technology. This study was conducted in Babakanjawa Village, Majalengka District, Majalengka Regency. The method used in this study was a survey method that was limited to sample farmers who participated in the Integrated Crop Management (PTT) system approach model as many as 30 people and non-PTT model participants as many as 18 people. The analysis used was to calculate the income of PTT and non-PTT corn farming per hectare, cash costs of PTT and non-PTT corn farming, costs calculated for PTT and non-PTT corn farming, and income from PTT and non-PTT corn farming. The results of the study can be concluded that there are differences in productivity due to technology, as well as differences in quality that cause differences in price, where the income from total costs for PTT farmers is IDR 6.247.824,00, while non-PTT farmers are only IDR 2.475.494,00

    Transformasi digital dalam sektor pertanian telah membuka peluang baru bagi petani untuk mengakses pasar yang lebih luas dan meningkatkan pendapatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bentuk, efektivitas, dan tantangan dari strategi pemasaran digital dalam bidang pertanian melalui analisis terhadap 20 jurnal nasional dan internasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi digital seperti media sosial, e-commerce, branding, pemanfaatan influencer, dan pemasaran berbasis konten terbukti secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan jangkauan pasar dan nilai produk. Namun, implementasi strategi ini masih terhambat oleh rendahnya literasi digital, buruknya infrastruktur, dan keterbatasan pendampingan teknis di wilayah pedesaan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelatihan digital berbasis komunitas, pengembangan infrastruktur internet di desa, serta kolaborasi multi-pihak untuk mendukung ekosistem agribisnis digital yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.     This study aims to determine the comparison of average cost productivity, income productivity, and farming profits with local varieties in the Pancakerta Farmer Group. This study was conducted from January 2025 to March 2025 in the Pancakerta Farmer Group. The method in this study used a survey method. The research design used a descriptive survey approach and farming analysis. A total of 30 respondents were determined using the Slovin method. The results of the analysis showed that the average productivity of superior varieties was 7.55 tons/ha/MT. While in local rice farming it was 8.98 tons/ha/MT. During one period and the average total cost incurred for each respondent of superior variety farming was IDR 34.792.399. while for local variety farming it was IDR 38.581.742. The income received from superior variety farming with 15 respondents was IDR 796.950.000 with an average of IDR 53.130.000/MT. Meanwhile, for local variety farmers, it is IDR 1.097.754,000 with an average of IDR 73.183.600. The average profit obtained from the superior variety farming business 32 is IDR 22.446.797 / MT while local varieties are IDR 34.840.670. The efficiency of superior variety farming with an average R / C value of 1.52 / MT, while local varieties are 1.90 / MT. This shows that farming of superior varieties and local varieties in the Pancakerta Group is efficient to be cultivated

    Gedong Gincu mango is a leading horticultural commodity in Majalengka Regency with high economic value. However, its dependency on seasonal harvests leads to price fluctuations and unstable farmer incomes. The Off-Season technology emerges as a solution to extend the production period by inducing mango trees to bear fruit outside their natural season. This study aims to analyze the impact of Off-Season technology on farming income, both directly and indirectly through production as a mediating variable. The research was conducted in Mekarjaya Village, Kertajati Subdistrict, involving 30 farmers who have adopted Off-Season technology. A quantitative approach was used, with descriptive analysis, simple linear regression, and path analysis as the data analysis techniques. The findings show that Off-Season technology has been adequately implemented by farmers, particularly in pruning, fertilization, the application of growth regulators, and pest control. Although the technology does not have a direct significant effect on income, it does show a significant indirect effect through increased production. The study concludes that production plays a crucial role in mediating the relationship between Off-Season technology and income enhancement in Gedong Gincu mango farming. Thus, the success of increasing farmers' income depends not only on the adoption of technology but also on production intensity, fruit quality, and selling prices during the off-season period
