MULTILITERACY EDUKIT IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS: PERCEIVED USEFULNESS, EASE OF USE, CURRICULUM FIT, SCHOOL SUPPORT, AND BEHAVIORAL INTENTION IN INDONESIA–MALAYSIA
The multiliteracy Edukit integrates reading, writing, critical thinking, and authentic production into a single elementary classroom session. Purpose: To compare Indonesian and Malaysian elementary teachers’ perceptions across five acceptance dimensions: Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Curriculum Fit (CF), School Support (SS), and Behavioral intention (BI). Methods: A comparative survey of 30 teachers (Indonesia n=15; Malaysia n=15) used a validated 22 item, five point Likert questionnaire; per dimension reliability was adequate (α≥0.70). Mann–Whitney tests were applied to each indicator with effect size r reported. Results: Indonesian teachers scored higher across all dimensions, with 17 of 22 indicators significantly different (p<0.05). PEOU was the strongest discriminator (r≈0.60), followed by CF (r≈0.52), and SS showed the smallest difference (r≈0.32). The findings indicate that curriculum context and institutional support shape teachers’ acceptance of Edukit. Conclusion: Acceptance was driven by ease of use, curriculum alignment, and school support. Implementation strategies must align with the characteristics of Indonesia’s Kurikulum Merdeka and Malaysia’s KSSR. Implications: Strengthening training, aligning teaching/assessment artefacts, and ensuring access to simple materials are necessary to sustain adoption. Limitations: small, perception based sample; future studies should expand the sample and assess the impact on student outcomes
THE EFFECT OF THE RADEC LEARNING MODEL ASSISTED BY E-MODULES ON CULTURAL DIVERSITY ON THE MULTICULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND TOLERANT ATTITUDES
This study aims to describe the implementation of the RADEC learning model (LM) assisted by e-modules on cultural diversity and to examine its effect on the multicultural understanding and tolerant attitudes attitudes of fourth-grade elementary school students. It also compares the improvement of both variables between students taught using the RADEC LM assisted by e-modules on cultural diversity and those taught using the expository learning model. The study employs a quasi-experimental approach with a Non-equivalent Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design. The participants consist of fourth-grade students from two elementary schools in Waringinkurung District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. Data are collected through observations, questionnaires, and essay tests, and are analyzed using paired-sample t-tests and independent-sample t-tests with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 29. The results show that the implementation of the RADEC LM assisted by e-modules on cultural diversity is carried out effectively in the experimental group. The paired-sample t-test indicates significant effects on both multicultural understanding and tolerant attitudes attitudes, with significance values of 0.000 (Sig. < 0.05). The independent-sample t-test also demonstrates significant differences between the experimental and control groups in multicultural understanding (Sig. = 0.000 for posttest; Sig. < 0.05 for n-gain) and tolerant attitudes attitudes (Sig. = 0.000 for posttest; Sig. < 0.05 for n-gain). Furthermore, the n-gain scores of the experimental group fall into the high category for multicultural understanding (0.79) and tolerant attitudes attitudes (0.90), while the control group scores fall into the moderate category. These findings indicate that the RADEC LM assisted by e-modules on cultural diversity is effective in enhancing students’ multicultural understanding and tolerant attitudes attitudes. The study implies that teachers can employ this model to strengthen literacy in reading and writing as well as digital technology skills
Gaya Komunikasi Politik dan Tantangan Kepemimpinan Kepala Daerah: Analisis Dua Tahun Kepemimpinan Bupati Majalengka
This study aims to analyze the political communication style of a regional head and to identify the leadership challenges that emerged during the first two years of the Regent of Majalengka’s administration. The research focuses on how the leader’s communication style is constructed in media coverage and its implications for legitimacy and leadership effectiveness at the local government level. A qualitative approach was employed using content analysis of online media reports published over the two-year leadership period. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using thematic categorization to identify dominant communication patterns, media framing, and emerging perceptions. The findings reveal that the political communication style is predominantly humanistic-participatory, emphasizing emotional proximity, direct engagement with citizens, and persuasive messaging. This approach contributes to strengthening symbolic legitimacy; however, it also encounters challenges related to message consistency and perceived policy effectiveness. Media framing plays a significant role in shaping public interpretations of leadership performance. The study underscores the importance of integrating relational communication strategies with structured and transparent policy communication to enhance leadership effectiveness in local governance.
Teacher Professional Ethics as a Foundation for Culture-Based Pedagogy in Fostering Peaceful Primary Schools: A Systematic Literature Review
The modern era is characterized by the complexity of a pluralistic culture that requires teachers to act as educators, moral guardians, and facilitators in the learning environment. This challenge requires a foundation of scientific ethics and a contextual learning approach. This study aims to systematically examine scientific ethics as a moral foundation and strategic filter in fostering cultural diversity in elementary schools. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review. Data were collected and analyzed from 16 scientific articles published in 2021-2025, using the PRISMA guidelines from the Google Scholar and ScienceDirect indexed databases. The results of the study show that scientific ethics serve as a moral compass that guides every decision and interaction in the classroom through eight prerequisites of professionalism. Scientific ethics directs the application of a culture-based approach as an effective pedagogical strategy for fostering diversity. The synergy between scientific ethics and a cultural approach is the basis for realizing peaceful schools through three main prerequisites: the moral integrity of educators, pedagogical approaches, and collaboration between teachers, parents, and the community. A cultural approach supported by a strong ethical foundation can help connect the curriculum to students' lives, fostering tolerance, empathy, and mutual cooperation. Thus, this study not only discusses the relationship between scientific ethics and culture-based approaches but also provides a novelty in the form of a conceptual model of the synergy between the two as a pedagogical foundation for multicultural education in an independent curriculum
Influence of Electronic Modules on Environmental Literacy in Raising Environmental Awareness among Fifth Grade Elementary School Students
This study aims to test the effectiveness of the ecoliteracy e-module in improving elementary school students' conceptual understanding and pro-environmental behavior, particularly regarding waste management and environmental awareness. The background of this study is the limited learning media that can comprehensively and contextually integrate ecological knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral aspects into elementary school learning. The ecoliteracy e-module was developed as an alternative digital teaching material. It is interactive, contextual, and suited to the characteristics of elementary school students. This study used a pre-experimental design with a quantitative approach. It involved one group of students who received treatment without a comparison group. Data collection techniques included pretests and posttests to measure students' understanding. Structured observations were used to identify changes in student behavior in waste management in the school environment. Data analysis focused on comparing scores before and after using the e-module and interpreting findings from behavior observations. The results showed a significant increase in student understanding after using the ecoliteracy e-module. The average pretest score increased by 19.20 points in the posttest. This indicates that the e-module helps students better understand waste management and environmental issues. However, observations indicate that these gains in understanding have not led to consistent behavioral changes. Students' behavior in sorting waste and reducing single-use plastics still varies significantly between individuals. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the ecoliteracy e-module is effective in improving elementary school students' understanding of waste management and environmental awareness

Black Horror, White Terror
By weaving literature, film, popular culture, and historical moments, I trace the historical pattern of white terror from nineteenth century lynching and rape to twentieth century mass murder and violent civil rights opposition to twenty-first century police brutality, all of which has engendered racial fears for Black men, Black women, and Black children, and I examine the effects of Black fear on the Black psyche, the Black body, and the Black family. Developing a new framework by which to read the uncanny operations of white supremacy and the new Black horror genre’s engagement with the inner/outer workings of white racism, my concept of horrifying whiteness offers an avenue for Black resistance by disrupting the centuries-old whiteness as innocence and blackness as culpability narrative; and my concept of crippling fear versus empowering fear offers an opportunity to probe the advantages/disadvantages of Black fear. I utilize horror films and tropes to address the theatricality of white violence, and to discuss how race figures into cinema which has not only reinforced racist notions about Blackness, but has also functioned as a generator of white violence. I show how Black artists who utilize the horror aesthetic counter monstrous depictions of Black people by reversing white hegemonic narratives and applying horror tropes to white supremacists. Ultimately, my project uses horror as a means of defamiliarizing white innocence and spotlighting Black fear as well as examining its impact on Black Americans
Peningkatan Peran Pembudidaya Perempuan Dalam Budidaya Dan Optimalisasi Hasil Panen Rumput Laut Di Kabupaten Buton Utara
Seaweed is a leading commodity that can provide a good selling value. Current seaweed cultivation methods are experiencing very serious problems. Some of these problems include; low production and harvest yields caused by large amounts of seaweed broken and washed away during the cultivation periods, attacks by fish and turtle pests that graze seaweed, and frequent environmental changes that are detrimental to seaweed farmers. Cultivation is generally carried out by men because the longline method is difficult for women. The Horizontal Net innovation is a tool that is women-friendly, environmentally friendly, and production-friendly. Community service activities are carried out in North Buton Regency by providing training and implementation of horizontal net use to female farmers. To increase harvest yields and the selling value of dried seaweed, LPPM UHO in collaboration with Bappeda and Dekranasda North Buton Regency, fully supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, held training on diversification of processed products from seaweed. Products trained include the manufacture and packaging of seaweed jam, sticks, and seaweed jelly drinks. Training in making horizontal nets and various foods from seaweed provides new hope for increasing seaweed production and sales value for female seaweed farmers in North Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Provinc
