Erweiterung von klassischem Vertrieb von Dienstleistungen durch Social Selling über LinkedIn : Handlungsempfehlungen für B2B-Unternehmen der Branchen Werbung & Marktkommunikation
Sales has transformed massively over the course of time. It has moved away from entirely analog sales channels to a more digital process because of the digital transformation. Due to this adaptation, there is clear potential for increasing efficiency which companies must realize in order to avoid being overtaken by competitors. Therefore, it is necessary to respond to the changes by developing a social selling strategy and establishing new guidelines. Especially in the B2B service sector, LinkedIn plays a decisive role, which can lead to a significant increase in success through strategic and well-considered use. The deployment of social media needs to be targeted and thoughtfully executed to create a direct communication opportunity with the target audience.
The aim of this thesis is to identify the changes in the sales process and to explore to what extent LinkedIn has been included in the transformation. In addition, the previous use of the platform by companies in the advertising and market communication sector will be determined. For this purpose, the methods of literature research as well as expert interviews will be applied. The results of the research are used to make recommendations for the strategic and successful use of LinkedIn in the sales process.
The insights gained are intended to clarify the dynamics in sales and support the identification of success potential and its exploitation through modern possibilities. In addition, the thesis addresses the opportunities of using LinkedIn to attract the attention of the target group.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202

High-Potentials der Generation Y gezielt anwerben
This master's thesis deals with how companies can use fringe benefits to attract High- Potentials from Generation Y to their company. As a research design, a qualitative content analysis according to Mayring was carried out using interviews with five experts from different industries. In a first step, the current state of research was determined by means of literature research. This theoretical research was then supplemented by practical contributions from my experts. Since the labor market has changed significantly, not least due to the corona pandemic, the requirements of the workplace have also changed. Digitization and globalization were one of the main drivers of the rapid change in the world of work. The growing shortage of skilled workers is putting additional pressure on companies to find new ways and strategies in recruiting. While benefits such as working from home were only common for a few jobs a few years ago, today it is common practice in many industries and is developing from a motivation factor to a hygiene factor. Work-life balance and flexible working time models are now essential. The issue of mobility is still present, but it does not always have to be a company car, it is also welcome if companies contribute to the costs of public transport. Training opportunities are very important for young people. Therefore, companies should not ignore talent management, but should constantly train their workforce. Sabbaticals are also very well received by the younger group of people and the employer has the advantage that employees come back refreshed and efficient, which can also reduce sickness-related absences in the long term. Companies are therefore well advised to regularly evaluate and adapt their range of benefits. In this way, possible bad investments can be avoided. In addition, the respective needs often depend on the respective phase of life in which the employee is. Properly used fringe benefits in companies can therefore lead to a win-win situation for both sides. The spectrum in this area is wide and should also be used. Fringe benefits can then be the decisive factor in why an applicant chooses the company. However, this cannot fully compensate for monetary incentives. As with all other generations, salary also plays an important role for Generation Y.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
Mental health, Work engagement and work satisfaction of health workers based in Vienna during the COVID-19 pandemic : Quantitative Study
The topic mental health has been around for some time. As the coronavirus spread around the world and began restricting people's lives, the healthcare workers’ mental health during the pandemic was alarming because the profession was one of the frontliners fighting the virus. It was believed that uncertain forecasts, the imposition of unfamiliar working arrangement, growing workload and conflicting messages from authorities would undoubtedly contribute to widespread emotional distress and an increased risk of mental health problems.
Healthcare workers are one of the population groups that have been severely affected by the pandemic. Recognizing that healthcare professionals were already considered a vulnerable group prior to the pandemic due to the workload, work-related stress and due to the shortage of professions. This study considers the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health (with a focus on anxiety, work-related stress and insomnia) of healthcare workers in Vienna, Austria. In order to record the mood and experiences of the target group, an online questionnaire was conducted with questions on the work situation during the pandemic, mental health and support system.
The results of this study show that healthcare workers, did suffer under mental health issues during the Covid-19 pandemic but it was not a significant relationship.
Nevertheless, the Covid-19 pandemic has shown, that it negatively impacted respondents' work environment by increasing the workload and the stress level of individuals.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
Virtual Reality und Ethik : Berücksichtigung ethischer Aspekte bei der Einführung von Virtual Reality Training in europäischen Polizeiorganisationen
The new technology Virtual Reality (VR) has become increasingly important in recent years. The benefits of the technology are particularly acknowledged in the security domain (such as military or police) for training. VR enables the simulation of complex scenarios in safe and controllable learning environments. Therefore, more and more European police organizations are testing the use of VR in training with a high technology acceptance among the users. However, leading researchers in the field argue, that the topic of ethics represents a research gap in this application area. This gap needs to be closed to minimize negative effects on the trainees and subsequently on society. Therefore, the topics „ethics“ and „VR police training“ were linked in this thesis to answer the guiding question „How can ethics be considered appropriately in the context of VR training for European police organisations?“. To shed light into this topic, eight qualitative expert interviews were conducted, building on the literature review of the thesis. Experts from different domains (VR, ethics, and police training) were consulted and the results were evaluated with a qualitative content analysis to extract the knowledge.
The results revealed that ethical aspects and professional ethical standards need to be considered in VR police training in the same way as in real training. However, there are ethical dimensions such as privacy and data security, stereotyping and stigmatization and the risk of gamification particularly critical in the field of VR police training. Decision makers, who have the authority to decide about the introduction of VR as a training technology in the police, need to ensure the consideration of these dimensions to assure the safety of the trainees and subsequently the European society. Moreover, ethical principles must be considered at the beginning of the implementation phase of VR in police training and have to be included throughout the whole process. Based on the empirical research, practical recommendations were derived on how ethical principles can be adequately considered when introducing VR training in European police organizations. To do so, the responsible persons need to be informed about possible risks of the technology (e.g., misusage, bias, effectiveness, gamification) and take measures (e.g., safety precautions, protocols, scientific monitoring, internal communication, and training) to mitigate them.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
