Anwendung von Künstlicher Intelligenz in Projektportfoliomanagement
This thesis explores the potential and challenges of implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) within project and portfolio management at Raiffeisen Informatik (R– IT). As a cooperative IT organization, R–IT faces unique structural, cultural, and technical considerations that impact the adoption of AI. This research examines the perspectives of key stakeholders, including executives, financial officers, project portfolio managers and project managers, to gain insights into the expectations, perceived benefits, and reservations regarding AI-driven solutions. Key areas of analysis include data quality and system integration, the role of AI in resource allocation and risk management, and its potential to streamline project prioritization and reporting processes. The study employs semi-structured interviews to gather empirical data, followed by a comprehensive analysis that categorizes findings based on themes such as technological prerequisites, organizational culture, change management, and the cost-effectiveness of AI investments. The results highlight both the potential of AI to enhance efficiency and strategic decision-making in a cooperative context and the critical need for data infrastructure modernization and cultural readiness. This research provides a foundational framework for R-IT and similar cooperative organizations considering AI as a means to optimize project and portfolio management.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
ERP-Berater ERP-Beraterinnen
This thesis explores how internal and external ERP consultants contribute to the success of ERP implementation projects. By inspecting their distinct roles and responsibilities, the study provides companies with insights to the advantages and disadvantages of each consultant type, helping them make informed decisions when planning their projects. The research question focuses on the influence of internal and external ERP consultants' profiles on project success.
For the empirical study, five interviews were conducted with internal and external consultants as well as other stakeholders involved in ERP projects. The results show that both groups have complementary strengths. Internal consultants play an important role as mediators, ensuring that the needs of the departments are translated into the system design and that the ERP system integrates smoothly into daily operations. External consultants contribute with their technical expertise and industry experience, focusing on system configuration, project management and knowledge transfer.
The findings confirm that successful ERP implementations often depend on a wellbalanced collaboration between internal and external consultants. Internal consultants ensure that the system aligns with company-specific processes, while external consultants bring new perspectives and technical expertise. Clear role distribution and strategic teamwork are critical to reducing risks and achieving better outcomes. Only in rare cases, a single consultant group may be sufficient to address all project requirements.
While the study offers practical insights, it is limited by the small number of interviews and the focus on specific project scenarios. Future research could dive deeper into industry-specific contexts or company sizes to develop tailored recommendations. This would provide even more precise guidance for companies looking to optimize their ERP projects.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
Herausforderungen und Auswirkungen der Nutzung generativer KI auf die Customer Journey in österreichischen Fitnessunternehmen
This master's thesis investigates the impact of generative artificial intelligence on the customer journey in the Austrian fitness industry. The focus is on the phases in which generative AI is used and what specific changes it brings with it. The central research question is as follows:
"To what extent do Austrian fitness companies use generative artificial intelligence to improve their customer journey, and in which phases is it mainly used?"
Furthermore, the research also addresses the challenges of introducing AI-based solutions and offers practical recommendations for companies in the Austrian fitness industry to strengthen the implementation and use of generative AI. However, technical details, global trends, as well as issues such as data privacy or ethical questions related to AI are not addressed in this study.
To answer the research questions, six expert interviews were conducted and evaluated using Mayring's qualitative content analysis. The results of the study suggest that generative AI is already being used regularly along the customer journey in the fitness industry. Especially in the early phases, the technology is used for content creation, with companies relying primarily on established tools such as ChatGPT. In the later phases of the customer journey, however, the use of generative AI is still rare, although there is significant potential here. In summary, fitness companies are still cautious and hesitant regarding generative AI. It is recommended that companies engage with the technology early on, be open to its use, and exploit the great potential to create a competitive advantage in a highly competitive market.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202

Kundenwertschätzung Kundinnenwertschätzung
Within the recent years, there have been a lot of changes in our economy, and particularly in the field of logistics, where we face great opportunities and also problems. With the rise of various technologies, logistics has changed fundamentally and the flow of data within the supply chain has become an important success factor for many companies and logistic service providers. The method of a conjoint planning and reporting system is being pursued in many areas of logistics, and especially along the supply chain. This involves an exchange of information between suppliers and customers, which together create a long-term strategy for a transparent cooperation. Due to increasing cost pressure and ever-increasing competition, it is crucial for logistics service providers to set themselves apart from the competition and create added value, which leads to customers adjusting their reservation prices and valuing the services accordingly. This optimization to increase customer appreciation requires coordination along the entire value chain. With the help of a conjoint planning and reporting system and the involvement of the customer in the decision-making process along the supply chain, the end customer's appreciation can be both awakened and increased.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
