    Graphical Analyzer Test of Misconception of 45o Angle as Optimal Angle in Projectile Motion

    Misconceptions still often occur when learning physics, especially in conducting research that is not consistently detailed in identifying an observation. In parabolic motion material, it is known that 45° is a special angle that produces the farthest distance. The misconception that 45° is the angle that produces the farthest distance has become a reference in learning in various educational institutions to date. The aim of this research is to identify and prove that the 45° angle is not an elevation angle that produces the farthest distance in a vacuum that ignores the initial position of the thrower. This research was conducted using PhET virtual laboratory media which was analyzed based on quantitative and qualitative methods. This study will test the elevation angle of 42° : 45° : 48° based on altitude 0 m : 1 m : 2 m. After the observational data has been obtained and proven by the existing equations, the research results will be analyzed based on the functional analyzer approach by making the equations into function graphs to make it easier for readers to read the existing data. In this study, it was found that the angle of 42° is the producer of the farthest distance and also gets a relatively faster travel time compared to the angle of 45° which we know so far as a special angle that produces the farthest distance in non-vacuum conditions.&nbsp

    Needs Analysis of Implementation of The Mentoring Program for Fundamental Physics 1 Lectures to Support Student Learning Independent

    This research uses a descriptive method and aims to analyze the need for a mentoring program in the Fundamental Physics I course. The research was conducted on 64 students (32 students had participated in the mentoring program for one semester, and 32 students did not participate in the mentoring program), 2 lecturers, and 4 tutors. Data were obtained from documents of students' final exam scores, interviews, and surveys. The results showed that (1) the final exam scores of students who participated in the mentoring program were better and significantly different from the class that did not participate in the mentoring program, (2) students who participated in the mentoring program gave a positive response to the program, and (3) students who did not participate in the mentoring program felt that they experienced many difficulties in Fundamental Physics I lectures and felt that the mentoring program was necessary.&nbsp

    Enhancing Students’ Concepts Mastery in Kinetic Theory of Gases Through the STEM-Discovery Learning Model

    Students' difficulties with gas kinetic theory material have led to low mastery of physics concepts. Improving mastery of the concept of the kinetic theory of gases can be supported by using learning models. There have been many studies that prove that discovery learning can influence physics learning outcomes. However, this study uses a STEM approach integrated into a discovery learning model that acts as part of the inquiry level in physics classes Merdeka curriculum. This research aims to improve students' mastery of concepts in the kinetic theory of gases material through the STEM-discovery learning model. This research used a one-group pretest and posttest design on 30 students of class XI Merdeka 4 at SMAN 1 Dolopo. The instruments used are the RPP and five questions describing the concept mastery test. The data obtained was then analyzed using the normality test, difference test, N-gain, and effect size, and categorizing the students' concept mastery level for each question. The results of this research reveal that STEM-discovery learning is able to increase students' mastery of concepts in kinetic gas theory material. Interestingly, this research also found that students' correct conceptions have not been able to be stored in memory very well, so it is necessary to link kinetic gas theory material to other physics material that is still relevant so that students are motivated to remember and retain concepts

    Prediksi Kasus Tingkat Depresi Mahasiswa Semester Akhir Menggunakan Regresi Linear Sederhana

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami hubungan antara faktor-faktor stress akademik dan tingkat depresi pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data, yang akan di analisis dengan metode regresi linear sederhana. Hasil persamaan regresi pada penelitian ini adalah y = -0.71757+0.16433X, di dapatkan bahwa tingkat depresi tertinggi adalah gejala depresi ringan sebear 29.58% dan prediksi tingkat depresi terendah yaitu depresi berat sebesar 5.63%. Hasil pengujian tingkat akurasi prediksi di dapatkan nilai Mean Absolute Error (MAE) sebesar 3,84 dan nilai Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) sebesar 4,7. Sehingga perhitungan akurasi menggunakan MAE lebih baik dalam menghitung akurasi tingkat depresi pada mahasiswa akhir. Hasil ini memberikan indikasi bahwa model regresi linear sederhana yang digunakan dapat memberikan perkiraan yang cukup akurat tentang tingkat depresi pada mahasiswa akhir. Selanjutnya, hasil penelitian ini akan disajikan dengan visualisasi melalui sebuah tampilan dashboard dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Tableu

    Literature Study: Using Schoology LMS in Physics Learning at Schools in Indonesia

    Education in Indonesia has moved towards a broader digital approach. Information and communication technology development has encouraged many schools and educational institutions to look for new ways to integrate technology into teaching. One way is by utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS). One LMS platform that is quite widely used is Schoology. This research aims to find out how Schoology is used in physics learning in schools in Indonesia. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), namely by finding, selecting, and synthesizing studies submitted for a specific question by following a systematic, transparent, and iterative process. Researchers chose 14 articles sourced from Google Scholar for analysis. These articles are grouped into certain groups to simplify the analysis process. This research found that the use of Schoology is quite good in facilitating physics learning in schools. However, Schoology should not be used in full, educators must play an active role so that students can still understand the material presented.     Implementation of ICT-based Inquiry Learning Model for Enhancing Critical Thinking Skills in Mechanical Waves Characteristics

    Critical thinking skills are essential in 21st century education. However, students’ critical thinking skills remain underdeveloped. To align with contemporary advancements, curricula now demand integration with 21st century skills, including critical thinking and technology. This study aims to investigate the implementation of ICT-based inquiry learning model for enhancing critical thinking skills in mechanical wave characteristics. This study employed a pre-experimental research method, utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants consist of 34 eleventh-grade students from a high school in Bandung district, selected through convenience sampling. The instruments used were critical thinking skills test. The improvement of critical thinking skills was analyzed using N-Gain. The results showed that students’ critical thinking skills increased an average N-Gain value of 0.35 in a moderate category and there is a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest shown by the Wilcoxon signed rank test, which is p value < 0.05. Thus, the ICT-based inquiry learning model can enhance students’ critical thinking skills on mechanical wave characteristics

    eval_uasi Usability BNI Life Mobile Dengan Pendekatan Metode Website Usability eval_uation Tool (WEBUSE)

    Saat ini, meskipun BNI Life Mobile sudah menyediakan layanan yang membantu nasabah, belum ada studi kasus yang mengeval_uasi tingkat kemanfaatannya (usability). Menurut standar ISO 9241-11 dari International Organization for Standardization (ISO), kemanfaatan didefinisikan sebagai sejauh mana produk dapat digunakan oleh pengguna tertentu untuk mencapai tujuan dengan lebih efektif, efisien, dan memuaskan dalam konteks penggunaan yang dimaksud. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penilaian kemanfaatan untuk menilai sejauh mana tingkat kepuasan pengguna saat berinteraksi dengan BNI Life Mobile. Berdasarkan konteks ini, penelitian dilakukan untuk menghasilkan temuan yang akan menjadi masukan bagi BNI Life Mobile. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeval_uasi kemanfaatan (usability) dari BNI Life Mobile dengan menggunakan metode Website Usability eval_uation Tool (WEBUSE). Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan pandangan berharga bagi pengembang dalam meningkatkan kualitas BNI Life Mobile. Dari eval_uasi usability menggunakan metode WEBUSE, ditemukan bahwa semua komponen dalam aplikasi BNI Life Mobile sudah baik dan layak sesuai standar aplikasi umumnya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perhitungan usability point untuk Content, Organization, and Readability yang mencapai 0,80 dan termasuk dalam kategori "Excellent". Untuk Navigation and Links, hasilnya 0,83 dan termasuk dalam kategori "Excellent". Usability point untuk User Interface Design mencapai 0,79 dan masuk dalam kategori "Good". Terakhir, usability point untuk Performance and Effectiveness mencapai 0,85 dan termasuk dalam kategori "Excellent"

    Analysis of Professionalism and Personality Competencies of Physics Teacher Candidates Through Laboratory Assistance Program

    The role of teachers in the educational process requires adequate professional qualifications to carry out their duties and responsibilities effectively. Standards for academic qualifications and teacher competency are regulated nationally, with personality and professional competency being the most significant. Students as prospective teachers need to have these qualification standards. This study aims to examine the professionalism and personality competencies of prospective physics teachers through a laboratory assistance program. A qualitative approach with a collective case study design was used to analyze data from 8 physics education students participating in the program. The results show that this program helps physics education students develop professional competence through problem-solving processes during laboratory activities. Meanwhile, personality competence is formed through self-control awareness and the development of student character. Thus, the laboratory assistance program has proven to be effective in preparing physics education students with the necessary competencies to become quality teachers

    Analisis Indeks Pembangunan Manusia Di Jawa Timur Tahun 2022-2023 Berdasarkan Indikator Menggunakan Metode Fuzzy C-Means

    Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) termasuk faktor perkembangan suatu negara. Khususnya di Jawa Timur yang dengan nilai IPM rendah dibandingkan dengan IPM provinsi lainnya karena IPM di Jawa Timur memiliki indikator yang berpengaruh pada nilai IPM rendah, yaitu Tingkat pengangguran Terbuka, Angka Harapan Hidup, Gini Rasio, dan Upah Minimum Regional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengelompokkan Kabupaten/Kota di Jawa Timur dengan menerapkan algoritma Fuzzy C-Means. Dihasilkan cluster pada tahun 2023 dengan silhouette 0,7742 dengan 3 cluster. Berdasarkan kualitas IPM, bahwasannya mengungkapkan bahwa kota/kabupaten di Provinsi Jawa Timur terdiri dari 3 cluster : Cluster 0 (rendah) yang memiliki 23 kabupaten/kota, Cluster 1 (tinggi) yang memiliki 5 kabupaten/kota, dan Cluster 2 (sedang) dengan memiliki 10 kabupaten/kota. Terdapat perubahan pada Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di tahun 2022 dan 2023 yakni Jember, Kota Kediri, dan Kota Blitar

    Volta Drive Connect: Science Kit to Stimulate the Elementary Students in Sustainable Development

    The goal of this research is to develop the Volta Drive Connect science kit to increase energy literacy and inspire students to play a role in sustainable development. Volta Drive Connect consists of three levels with different components and levels of assembly difficulty. The research methodology uses developmental research with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and eval__uation). The analysis phase involves the identification of learning needs and student characteristics. Instruments used are performance rubrics, observations, interviews, and documentation. The eval__uation of the effectiveness of the teaching kit was carried out using a paired samples test comparing student learning outcomes before and after using Volta Drive Connect. The test results show a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. Students' energy literacy increased significantly between before and after implementing Volta Drive Connect. Qualitative analysis of observation and interview data revealed increased learning motivation and student engagement during the use of the kit. Minor technical challenges identified during implementation were noted for improvement in future iterations of the kit. The development of Volta Drive Connect was successful in creating a learning medium that is effective in increasing energy literacy, and aligned with the goals of the SDGs
