Livlihood Profile of Migrated Battery-Operated Rickshaw Pullers in Comilla City: A Case Study
Battery operated Rickshaws are the most popular and commonly used kind of transportation in Bangladesh. A battery-operated rickshaw is a common mode of transportation for short distances in the country, providing a source of income for rural immigrants. They contribute 30% of transportation value-added, according to government estimates. Policymakers and researchers have mostly ignored rickshaws. The majority of rickshaw pullers were migrating, illiterate, and destitute rural people who slept in slums without basic amenities. The majority of rickshaw pullers were migrating, illiterate, and poor rural people who lived in inadequate housing without civil amenities. This study describes the overall experience of passengers and drivers with battery-operated rickshaws that promote last-mile connection. Data gathered through in- depth interviews with 120 rickshaw pullers in Cumilla City shows the user experiences of e-rickshaw, as well as the benefits, drawbacks, and effectiveness of rickshaw on the streets. According to the findings of the study, battery-operated rickshaws have the potential to continue operating as a viable last mile connectivity option in the urban transportation industry

Association between Perceived Organizational Politics and Work-Related Attitudes among Bankers: Moderating Role of Personality Traits
Organizational politics is evident across the globe within organizations. This emergent issue needs further investigation with reference to employee personality. The intention of the current study was to better understand how employees respond to organizational politics. The primary goal of the current research was to examine the moderating role of personality factors on bankers\u27 perceptions of organizational politics and attitudes toward their jobs (i.e. job satisfaction and organizational commitment). The data were gathered from 150 employees working in various banks in Multan, using self-reported questionnaires to find their organizational political perceptions, job satisfaction surveys, organizational commitment, and personality tests. Hierarchical regression analyses were used to analyze the model. The personality factor that moderated the link between perceived organisational politics and work-related attitudes was openness to experience. Extroversion and organizational politics had a negative correlation. The outcome of the study depicted a significant link between job satisfaction and organizational politics. The study’s findings add to our understanding of the significance of personality traits concerning how workers view organizational commitment, organizational politics, and their level of job satisfaction
Beliefs and Intentions of Parents of Young Children Regarding Climate Change: A Cross Sectional Study from Pakistan
This study aimed to learn about the climate change perspectives of parents. Convenience sampling was employed to collect the data from individuals who were attending the climate change and parenting seminar online. This survey was sent as a pre survey questionnaire and the data of the parents who consented were used. There was no significant difference found with respect to gender, age or qualification in the climate belief, whereas significant difference was found in intention with respect to gender, qualification, and socioeconomic status. Furthermore, the findings stipulated the mean of beliefs (μ =1.72 and SD= 0.92) and the average mean of (μ =3.36 and SD= 0.86) in the intentions of people regarding climate change related attitude. Whereas the participants intention towards not investing time in solving the environmental issue shows strong agreement (μ=4.22.). The findings of the study share the insights of providing training to the parents of young children, so that they can have better understanding of the climate responsiveness and can take relevant strategic actions to foster climate safety for their future generations
Exploring Possibilities of Engaging Parents in an Early Childhood Classroom in City Naudero District Larkana
Parents’ engagement plays a vital role in getting information regarding children\u27s education and their progress. This role is not played by each parent but those who play it remain aware of their children\u27s progress and it also helps school administrations in contacting students’ parents easily and in sharing their concerns regarding children and school work. The present paper reports the findings of a researcher study that aims to analyse the current practices of parental engagement as well opportunities and challenges provided and faced by teachers and parents. For detail analysis, a qualitative approach was used with the help of semi-structured interviews which were taken from teachers and the parents. Three parents and three teachers were selected as participants with the help of a purposive sampling technique. Detailed interviews were taken with the participants to get detailed data regarding parental engagement in the research context. Most of the school staff and the parents were very much positive regarding the role of parental engagement in the school but the engagement level was very low. The findings of the study recommend arranging teacher-parent meetings or arranging such activities where parents could be involved in the learning process of their children
Work-Family Conflict, and Job Satisfaction: Moderating Role of Family Support
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between Work-Family Conflict and Job Satisfaction among school teachers by exploring the moderating influence of family support. The research employed several instruments, including a Demographic sheet, the Job Satisfaction Scale, a multidimensional scale of perceived social support, and a work-family conflict scale. This study employed a correlational research design to fulfill its objectives, with data collection conducted through convenient purposive sampling methods from school teachers. The findings revealed a negative association between Work-Family Conflict and Job Satisfaction, indicating that higher conflict levels were linked to decreased job satisfaction among teachers. Additionally, Family support demonstrated a positive correlation with Job Satisfaction, underscoring its importance in enhancing teachers\u27 job satisfaction. Moreover, family support was identified as a moderator in the relationship between Work-Family Conflict and Job Satisfaction, indicating its role in alleviating the negative impact of work-family conflict on job satisfaction. In order to improve teachers\u27 job satisfaction and general well-being, educational institutions should think about putting strategies in place to support a healthy work-family balance for their faculty members. These findings should be considered by policymakers as they develop measures to uphold the teaching profession and guarantee educators\u27 job satisfaction
Optimization and Characterization of Flavipin Produced by Aspergillus Terreus
The secondary metabolites of microorganisms serve as defence or signalling molecules in ecological interactions, revealing substantial survival benefits in nature. As a result, many researchers have concentrated on screening and optimizing the production of these molecules from natural sources such as microorganisms with the objective of pharmacological uses, primarily as antibiotics or anticancer agents. In this study, 80 isolates of Aspergillus were investigated for the production of flavipin. These fungi were collected from various locations and laboratories. Flavipin was estimated by using a standard curve, then purified by using silica gel chromatography, followed by identification using thin layer chromatography (TLC), and High Performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The fermentation conditions were carried out at the Central Health Laboratory/Maysan Health Directorate from April 2021 to August 2022. Out of eighty isolates of Aspergillus, only one isolate was identified as producer of flavipin which was Aspergillus terreus. According to HPLC analysis, the retention times of flavipin and its standard were 7.7 minutes and 7.6 minutes, respectively. By using the TLC technique, the relative flow (Rf) value was 0.55 cm for both standard flavipin and flavipin. The optimization of growth conditions and production of flavipin were studied. It is revealed that optimum conditions were as follows: pH 7 on 16 days, the temperature of 25oC for 12 days, culture volume of 50 ml on the 16th day, shaking speed of 150 rpm on the 12th day, inoculum size of 8 fungal agar disc on the 12th day, the optimal incubation period of 14 days, and Potato Dextrose Broth as the optimal culture media. The aim of the study was to determination of optimal conditions for the flavipin production that produced by Aspergillus terreus. For yielding a profuse amount of flavipin, the incubation and fermentation conditions such as temperature, the culture volume, shaking speed, inoculum size, pH of the medium, incubation period, and the type of culture media should be considered and the optimal one must be chosen
The Effect Of Hepatitis E Virus Open Reading Frame 3 Protein on The Expression Levels of IFN-β,IL6,TNF-α and RANTES in SW480 Colon Cancer Cells
The Hepatitis E virus (HEV) could induce chronic hepatitis and liver failure with high mortality through unclear mechanisms. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of (recombinant fusion protein, ORF3 of genotype 1 HEV) on the expression levels of cytokine or chemokine genes in colon cancer cells (SW480) using a quantitative assay of “SYBR green" real-time PCR. An ORF3 protein expression system (Orf3-GFP plasmid) was synthesized in the company of GenScript (USA) and used as an expression vector, SW480 cells were infected by (Orf3-GFP plasmid) or GFP- control vector. Result of this study was approved after assessing the expression level of the ORF3 gene in ORF3 expressing cells and in control groups using ORF3 specific primer to ensure that the transfection was performed successfully, The expression levels of three genes (IFN-β, IL-6, and TNF-α) were estimated in ORF3-expressing cells using specific primers for all genes. In addition, the role of HEV Orf3 in upregulating RANTES expression levels was revealed. In conclusion: In SW480 cells, this study found that the ORF3 protein of genotype 1 HEV is capable of regulating the expression of multiple immune response genes including Interferon- β (IFN-β), Interleukin-6 (IL-6) Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and regulated on activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted (RANTES) which may enhance viral replication and pathogenicity
Evaluation of the Effect of Crude Extracts of Fenugreek (Trigonella Foenum Graecum) on Resistant Isolates of Klebsiella Pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa: In Vitro Study
The recent appearance of resistant bacterial species has generated alarm. Medicinal plants are still a good way to get bioactive substances with medical promise, and they can use to get a wide range of antibacterial substances. As an alternative to chemical agents, evaluated the effect of crude fenugreek seed extracts on resistant isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This study was conducted from 2021 to 2022 in Karbala. Sputum samples were collected from 455 patients with severe COVID-19, samples were examined directly and cultured on microbiological culture media, and growing colonies were distinguished and preparing smears staining with Grams stain, API system for biochemical and fermentation differentiation, then disc diffusion method to distinguish the resistant isolates in accordance with clinical and laboratory standards institute 2020. Extraction method using the Soxhlet method for eight hours. Electric rotatory evaporators were used to evaporate the remaining solvents, then crude extracts were collected. The GC-MS is used to determine bioactive compounds. Determination of antimicrobial effects by well diffusion method using different concentrations of each extract as (25, 50, 100, and 150mg/ml). The isolated microorganisms were P. aeruginosa comprising 21 (4.6%) including 4 (0.9%) as resistant isolates. However, 50 (11.0%) of the isolates were K. pneumoniae, with 6 (1.3% being resistant) the remaining were other microorganisms. Methanolic extract indicated the heights contains of bioactive compounds followed by chloroform and aqueous respectively. Fenugreek seed methanolic extract at a MIC of 100 mg/ml significant effect on tested microorganisms, with inhibition zones of 10.67 and 9.67 mm, respectively. The methanolic extract contains the most bioactive compounds and the most effective antibacterial agent, followed by chloroform and aqueous extract respectively. P. aeruginosa was the most resistant isolate
Electrochemical Behaviour Study of KF in Artificial Saliva Mediated by GCE Using Cyclic Voltammetry
A new study used potassium fluoride (KF) in different concentrations (2% and 5%), one of the components in the complete denture as supported material. The study aims to find the electrochemical analysis by cyclic voltammetric (CV) technique of the physical properties of this material and the influence in artificial saliva (AS) by oxidation–reduction peak current in the oral cavity. This study used a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) as a working electrode, Ag/AgCL as a reference electrode, and platinum wire as an auxiliary electrode in the cyclic voltammetry cell. Different physical properties such as concentration, pH, scan rate, and reproducibility study were used in the potential-state. The results showed two oxidation peaks current at 1.4 and 0.75 Volt characterize to the artificial saliva and KF respectively, and one reduction peak current at -0.5 Volt for KF. All peaks were enhanced by increasing the concentrations and scan rates that indicate the study in the right response. Using different pH, the oxidation peak of KF disappeared in alkaline pH and enhanced in an acidic medium, so the KF ions act as an oxidative reagent in artificial saliva of acidic pH, and antioxidant in alkaline pH at a limited concentration of KF in the cavity of the mouth. The low concentration of KF (2%) used in the component of total denture is more favourable than the high concentration (5%). In addition, it is better to store the total denture in an alkaline solution after use to avoid any damage to the mouth cells
