    Get PDF
In this study, a new method to determine the extent effect of chemical interference between omega 3 fatty acid (fish oil), and milk solution (lactose) was used by electrochemistry procedure through oxidation-reduction of electric current peaks. The different temperature factors and their effect on the oxidation peak of omega-3 in the milk medium were applied to determine the values of activation energy (Ea*) and other thermodynamic values were calculated, such as enthalpy (ΔH*), free energy (ΔG*), and entropy (ΔS*).  The results of the analysis showed that there is only one reduction peak of omega 3 fatty acid in milk, which proves that fish oils with lactose milk have an effective antioxidant effect on the body of the organism in addition to the benefits envisaged by these oils. Temperature is the main action to destruction of milk proteins above 50 oC, in addition to the effect of omega-3 on the milk as well

Impact of Hiring Contractual Workers on Sustainable Supply Chain in Exporting Textile of Pakistan

    Get PDF
Textile industry is one of the major sources of revenue generation for Pakistan. For the last two decade this has been the key source of the inflow of foreign exchange through export of garments and textiles goods. Many global retailers and brands like Tesco, JC Penny, Wal-Mart, and Next etc. are sourcing their goods from Pakistan. These Retailers purchase garments and textile on some specific conditions such as cheap merchandising, quality standards and social and environmental compliance.  In order to comply with social standards these multinational buyers enforce their vendors to follow the land law and their own code of conduct. The severity of issues varies from violation to violation. For example, nonpayment of overtime violations is taken as serious issues. In contrast, failure to pay legal benefits to labors as EOBI, group insurance and leaves are less threatening. Hiring contractual employment especially on piece rate is one of the core factors that lead to these non-compliances (NCs). A total of 60 unpublished social compliance onsite audit reports of textile and garment factories working with foreign buyers in Pakistan were analyzed. Chai-Square test applied to test the hypothesis. The result reflects that there is an association exists between hiring contractual piece rate workers, employment old age benefit, and group insurance and leaves violation. Current study may be helpful in exploring the major factors that may lead to overtime, employment old age benefit, group insurance and leaves violation. The findings may also help NGOs, government and global buyers to develop policies that provide better control over workers’ rights in developing countries like Pakistan for sustainable business growth

Early Childhood Education and its Impact on Enrolment Enhancement at Primary Level, Rural Areas

    Get PDF
This research study aimed to determine the impact of pre-primary education in rural government schools on enhancing enrolment. Twenty schools were drawn from three remote areas of Sindh province of District Malir, Gudap. The enrolment data of katchi, class I, current class II, previous class- II and current class III was collected from schools to evaluate the enrolment rate of children who get pre-primary education and who do not and are directly enrolled in class I. The results of overall investigations postulate that there is no major impact of government initiatives to improve the quality of education. The results also negate the assumption that children admitted to the katchi class have a greater chance of continuing further education and a lesser chance of dropping out of school. The results postulate that other factors lead to the lower enrolment enhancement rate from the primary classes in Sind generally and in the selected Gadap town specifically, which need to be further investigated. The study recommends a focus on community engagement, school-based leadership, improved infrastructure, teacher training, improved curriculum and participation of parents

Empowering Tomorrow: A Systematic Approach to STEM Education Pedagogy for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals and Students\u27 Conceptual Understanding

    Get PDF
The purpose of this research was to compare three different approaches to STEM education in terms of their impact on students\u27 retention of STEM concepts and their ability to apply those concepts in real-world contexts: project-based learning, problem-based learning, and inquiry-based learning. Sixty (60) students in 9th grade made up the study\u27s research sample. A cooperative teacher assisted them in their education. Two groups were formed from the participants. In contrast to the experimental group, which received training based on STEM concepts, the control group received more conventional methods of instruction. A 2x3 factorial design was utilised in the quantitative and experimental studies. We used the conceptual understanding in STEM subjects test (CUSST) to quantify students\u27 grasp of STEM concepts. The study\u27s primary findings indicated that STEM instructional strategies increased students\u27 conceptual comprehension. All three phases of teacher preparation (pre-service, induction, and in-service) should incorporate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) instructional practices into the science curriculum and training modules. The incorporation of STEM fields has the potential to enhance science education programmes, methodology, textbooks, and curricula. Stakeholders may be able to use this study as a springboard to investigate current teacher professional development programmes for gaps

res, establishing school in remote areas, mid-day meal, uniforms and books. To a great extent, governments have done their best yet the aim of inclusive education remained unfulfilled which is why in NEP 2020 the issue of inclusive education gets centre stage. When all necessary actions have been taken by governments and other agencies, what are the reasons which hamper the progress of achieving the target? Aims/Objectives: To answer the question, this paper attempts to investigate conceptually the reasons and structures, other than infrastructure and requite arrangement, such as syllabus, environment provided at school and behavior of teachers which may prove a great challenge in achieving the aim. Methods: For this conceptual investigation, some Dalit autobiographical narratives, random overview of curriculum taught in schools, reports related to unprofessional behaviour of teachers and schools, and ‘teacher training’ will be scrutinized. For the purpose, Dalit criticism, postcolonial and psychoanalysis are used as tools for analysis of the textual material. Result: The study proves that firstly the curriculum taught in schools is not inclusive which fails to make the students of marginalised groups feel at home culturally and nationally; secondly, if it includes the other cultures or iconoclasts these are subdued by teaching from different perspective. The teachers’ attitude towards marginalised students and their culture is still discriminatory which infers that besides education, teacher training programmes have failed grossly to train the student[1]teachers into an egalitarian and human one which is why the exclusion continues

The research aimed to find out the impact of intellectual humility on interpersonal conflicts and narcissism in teachers teaching at the university level in Rawalpindi. The data were obtained from 600 participants of age group of 34-45 through purposive sampling (297 males and 303 females). The research was quantitative in nature and used a cross-sectional survey design. The scales used to assess the study variables were the Comprehensive Intellectual Humility Scale (Krumrei-Mancuso, & Rouse, 2016), the Interpersonal Conflicts at Workplace Scale (Spector & Jex, 1998), and Narcissistic Personality Inventory-16 (Lapsley & Stey, 2011). The Pearson bivariate correlation, independent sample T-test, and linear regression analysis were used for data analysis. It was hypothesized that there would be significant impact of IH on interpersonal conflicts and narcissism and would be negatively associated with both variables. On the other hand, narcissism and interpersonal conflicts would be positively associated with each other. These hypotheses were supported in light of the results of the study. Moreover, gender differences were also assessed across study variables. Males possess higher level of IH, but no other significant gender differences were found in the other two aforementioned variables. An important aspect addressed in this study was the influence of adopting positive traits (IH) and dropping negative (narcissism) in the workplace and the interpersonal benefits of such healthy practices in the success of organizations
