STRATEGI PENINGKATAN PENDAPATAN RETRIBUSI TERMINAL DI KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG DITINJAU DARI KINERJA PEGAWAI
Get PDFABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar ketertarikan pada adanya permasalahan menyangkut tidak tercapainya target retribusi terminal kota Bandar Lampung setiap tahunnya. Mengungkap dan menganalisis persoalan tersebut menggunakan kajian Pendapatan Daerah, yang dilihat dari Kinerja pegawai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey eksplanatori dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi kepustakaan dan studi lapangan (terdiri dari observasi, wawancara dan kusioner). Penarikan sampel menggunakan Porforsional random sampling selanjutnya data yang diperoleh dianalis dengan menggunakan regresi berganda binari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tercapainya target retribusi terminal di Bandar Lampung dilihat dari Kinerja Pegawai berada pada kategori positif, hal ini diperkuat oleh hasil perhitungan melalui uji statistik bahwa Kinerja Pegawai berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pencapaian target retribusi terminal di Kota Bandar Lampung. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa bukti teoritis dan empiris menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dari Kinerja pegawai terhadap pencapaian target retribusi terminal, untuk itu disarankan dalam pengelolaan retribusi terminal harus memperhatikan kinerja pegawai, fasilitas terminal dan pengawasan sehingga akan berimplikasi pada pencapaian target retribusi terminal di Kota Bandar Lampung.Kata Kunci: Retibusi terminal, kinerja pegawa

The Concept of Death in Emily Dickinson Poem "Because I Could Not Stop for Death"
Get PDF When a poet writes a poem, it may be influenced by his / her feeling and situation. Similarly, based on Emily Dickinson’s biography, it is told that since 1874 she spent her life in mourning because of several deaths. Emily's father died in 1874, Samuel Bowles died in 1878, J.G. Holland died in 1881, her nephew Gilbert died in 1883, and both Charles Wadsworth and Emily's mother died in 1882. For over those few years, many of the most influential and precious friendships of Emily's passed away (http://www.edwardslys.com/dickinson.htm). The situation that happened to her absolutely influenced her feeling. Then, it may give her a way to the more concentrated obsession with death in her poetry. This study shows influence of Emily Dickinson’s life background on the concept of death found in her poem “Because I Could Not Stop for Deathâ€. The poem is influenced by the poet’s life background as follows; Her religious background includes Calvinism, Puritanism and Transcendentalism give influence to her perception of death.Â

Kalimantan Utara memerlukan dan harus mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia untuk menyambut pembangunan KIHI, salah satunya melalui Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Siswa-siswa harus memiliki yang Namanya hardskill,soft skill dan etos kerja yang meruoajan bagian dari karakter. Pengabdian ini telah dilakukan observasi dan wawancara awal ke Sekolah agar perlakuan atau kegiatan  yang di berikan sesuai dengan sasaran. Selain itu kegiatan dirancang menjadi 6 kegiatan, dimana masing kegiatan diberikan perlakuan sesuai indikator serta pedoman untuk meng evaluasi  kegiatan. Namun tetap sebelumnya diberikan pre test sesuai dengan indikator, hasil dari pre test menunjukkan siswa kurang terlihat memiliki  etos kerja. Maka dari itu untuk meningkatkan etos kerja tersebut dilakukan lah beberapa kegiatan yaitu konsep diri, motivasi diri, pendampingan konseling, pendampingan sharing session Bersama manager salah satu Perusahaan di Kalimantan Utara tujuannya agar memahami soft skill apa saja yang harus dimiliki saat bekerja. Setelah dilakukan beberapa kali kegiatan, dilakukan lah sebuah post test sebagai bentuk evaluasi dari kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil pretest menunjukkan perubahan perilaku siswa masih belum terlihat namun ada peningkatan pada pengetahuan siswa.Â

Get PDFPenelitian ini akan mengkaji mengenai konflik batin tokoh utama pada cerpen Sahabat Beda Sifat karya Mutiara Sya’bani dengan teori sigmund freud psikoanalisis sastra yaitu pada struktur kepribadian yang di dalamnya terdapat id, ego, superego, dan dinamika kepribadian. Peneliti hanya akan memfokuskan konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama pada cerpen, yaitu Kirey dan Keiko yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama pada cerpen Sahabat Beda Sifat karya Mutiara Sya’bani. Metode yang sudah ditentukan oleh peneliti lalu akan digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yaitu melakukan metode membaca dan mencatat. Hasil akhir yang didapat dari data penelitian ini dapat berupa wujud konflik batin dalam cerpen Sahabat Beda Sifat karya Mutiara Sya’bani yaitu meliputi (1) konflik menjauh-menjauh; (2) pertahanan ego yang dapat diimbangi oleh dorongan Id yang kuat dalam menyelesaikan konflik batin yang terjadi dalam diri tokoh utama yaitu Keiko dan Kirey pada cerpen Sahabat Beda Sifat
THE EFFECTS OF NOMINALIZATION IN NBCUNIVERSAL: A DISCOURSE ANALYSIS IN CORONATION 2023
Get PDFMedia have been frequently emphasizing the information through headlines to as it usually conveys a catchy advertising-style headline and retrieves the gist of the story. Regardless of its contents, the headline becomes one of the most significant factors in attracting as much attention as possible from the readers. Therefore, choosing the appropriate headlines is crucial for the media to produce their intention properly to the readers. One of the ways is using nominalization. This research demonstrates the effects of nominalization on the headlines taken from NBCUniversal. The eight effects of nominalization by Machin and Mayr is utilized as the main theory of this study. Utilizing a qualitative method rooted in the Critical Discourse Analysis approach, the research data is the headlines sourced from the Coronation of King Charles III on NBCUniversal. From the total of eight effects, this study found six effects of nominalizations that appeared on the headlines of NBCUniversal media including, people and responsibilities are removed, the sense of time is removed, the action becomes a thing, the common usage as stable entities, the avoidance of the agent while accumulating a sense of action in the text, andthe compressed of the story details. The study also proved that understanding nominalization theory can help in generating captivating headlines to attract readers’ attention effectively

The movie gained critical accolades for its atmospheric directing, scrupulous attention to detail, and stellar cast performances. During the Cold War, the movie depicts a complicated web of espionage and betrayal within the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). The research intends to depict betrayal through the agent characters in the movie. The movie was analyzed using qualitative method. The dialogues and narrations are presented in the form of texts. The research integrated several experts’ perspectives on betrayal to assist the writers in revealing the traces of betrayal in the movie. The results of the analysis suggested that the characters conducted acts of betrayal. The movie has only three sorts of treachery. The first is political betrayal, which is exemplified by Bill Haydon. The second is the romantic betrayal between Ricki Tarr and Irina, Bill Haydon and Ann, which began both relationships due to both agents' personal missions and importance. Get PDFABSTRAKJumlah populasi lansia secara global tumbuh lebih cepat dibandingkan populasi usia muda, menghadirkan tantangan kesehatan seperti penurunan fungsi eksekutif yang penting untuk kemampuan kognitif seperti perencanaan dan pengambilan keputusan. Olahraga potensial sebagai intervensi untuk meningkatkan fungsi eksekutif pada lansia. Penelitian ini adalah systematic literature review yang menganalisis efektivitas olahraga terhadap fungsi eksekutif pada lansia. Analisis ini melibatkan 12 artikel penelitian eksperimen yang menyajikan hubungan objektif latihan olahraga terhadap setidaknya satu fungsi eksekutif, melibatkan partisipan berusia di atas 55 tahun, menggambarkan jenis latihan yang dilakukan, menjelaskan apakah latihan tersebut dikombinasikan dengan latihan lain, menggambarkan partisipan sebagai populasi sehat atau klinis, serta menyediakan pengukuran kuantitatif yang didukung metodologi statistik. Penelitian yang dikecualikan adalah yang tidak menggunakan kontrol, menggunakan laporan kualitatif atau spekulatif, latihan yang dilakukan tidak termasuk jenis olahraga, serta penelitian review dan meta-analisis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa olahraga meningkatkan fungsi eksekutif pada lansia. Jenis olahraga seperti Baduanjin, mild exercise, square dance, HIIT, aerobik kontinu, latihan kekuatan, Otago, exergame, bersepeda, kardio, stretching toning, Tai Chi, latihan fisik dan kognitif, mind-body exercise, serta olahraga beregu dan sendiri memberikan hasil signifikan. Program olahraga yang terstruktur dan teratur direkomendasikan untuk menjaga serta meningkatkan kemampuan perencanaan, pengambilan keputusan, dan kontrol diri pada lansia.ABSTRACTThe global population of older adults is growing faster than the younger population, presenting health challenges such as declines in executive function, which is crucial for cognitive abilities like planning and decision-making. Exercise is a potential intervention for improving executive function in older adults. This study is a systematic literature review analyzing the effectiveness of exercise on executive function in older adults. The review includes 12 experimental research articles that objectively present the relationship between various forms of exercise and at least one executive function, involving participants over the age of 55, clearly describing the types of exercise performed, indicating whether exercises were combined with other activities, characterizing participants as either healthy or clinical populations, and providing quantitative measurements supported by statistical methodologies. Excluded studies were those lacking control, using qualitative or speculative reports, including activities not categorized as exercise, and review or meta-analysis studies. The analysis indicates that exercise improves executive function in older adults. Types of exercise such as Baduanjin, mild exercise, square dance, HIIT, continuous aerobics, strength training, Otago, exergame, cycling, cardio, stretching toning, Tai Chi, physical and cognitive exercises, mind-body exercise, and both individual and group activities show significant results. Structured and regular exercise programs are recommended to maintain and enhance planning, decision-making, and self-control abilities in older adults
Students’ Motivation and Perception in Reading English Texts

This study was conducted to find out (1) what intrinsic factors influence students' motivation to read English texts, (2)what extrinsic factors influence students' motivation to read English texts, (3)what differences exist in reading motivation among students of different demographic backgrounds and (4) how does motivation to read English texts vary across different age groups, gender, and socio-economic status. This study used descriptive qualitative as the research design. It was conducted to the students of SMK Telkom 2 Medan. After analyzing the data, it was found that students’ motivation and perception in reading English texts are influenced by a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic factors, educational environment, and personal attitudes towards reading. By understanding these factors, educators can implement strategies to enhance motivation and foster positive perceptions, ultimately improving students' reading skills and their overall learning experienc
