Çocuk ve ergenlerde risperidon kullanımı ile karaciğer toksisitesi: Literatür taraması
Risperidone is a second generation anti-psychotic drug that is commonly preferred in the treatment of schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and bipolar disorders. Risperidone-associated hepatic adverse effects have long been investigated and continues to be unclear. In this review, our aim is to establish the possible hepatic adverse effects linked to risperidone treatment in children and adolescent in terms of severities and reversibility. We performed literature search via electronic databases (PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Library) in August 2019. Risperidone treatment may lead to alterations in liver function test (LFT), mostly asymptomatic and reversible with the discontinuation or normalizes with time. Furthermore, there are few cases reporting risperidone-induced cholestatic hepatitis and immunoallergic hepatitis. Although exact mechanism of action of risperidone on liver remains unknown, there are growing evidences that link alterations of fatty acid biosynthesis to hepatic adverse effects. We recommend physicians to take basal LFT prior to risperidone treatment and monitor LFT during treatment. Additionally, physicians should be aware that most alterations at LFT associated with risperidone use are asymptomatic and reversible. However, more comprehensive studies investigating risperidone-associated hepatic adverse effects should be performed to reach a definitive outcome. © 2020, Cyprus Mental Health Institute.
This study aims to reveal in the context of personification of the perception of mobile phone in the
mind of individuals. When the meanings that it contains in the concept of perception are considered, it
expresses an abstract conceptualization. It is accepted that the concept of perception, which indicates the
meaning created by an event, fact or object in the mind and emotions of the individual, differs in accordance
with the individual's individual characteristics, regardless of the event, phenomenon or object. Perception is a
complex and difficult concept to define and embody each individual in the context of the fact that he/she is
‘single’ and ‘unique’. It is known that the most general definition of the conceptualization process of perception
is closely related to the concept of image defined as ‘mental representation of sensory information’. In this
context, while focusing on the concept of sensation and perception in the first part of the study; then, the
concepts of personificiation and image were focused. In the last part of the study, questions were asked
regarding the perception of mobile phones in the minds of individuals. These questions are about the perception
of personalizing the mobile phone. The main problem of the research has been that the mobile phone has
become an indispensable object of daily life and attempts to establish symbolic interactionism through this
object. Based on this problem in the research, the answer to "If the cell phone was a person, what would its
physical and personal characteristics be like?" was tried to be searched and according to the findings, it was
found that individuals have perceptions about mobile phones similar to their physical and personality traits
Reliability and Validity of the Turkish Version of the Body Image Disturbance Questionnaire-Scoliosis
Study Design. It is cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the Body Image Disturbances Questionnaire.Objective.The purpose of the study was to adopt the English version of the Body Image Disturbance Questionnaire-Scoliosis (BIDQ-S) into Turkish language.Summary of Background Data.BIDQ-S is originally adopted from BIDQ scale which is designed to be used for healthy subjects in order to assess concerns and distress about physical appearance, and impairment on daily functioning. However, there is no culturally adopted and validated BIDQ-S for the Turkish population.Method.Translation and back translation method was used to guide the translation process of the BIDQ-S from English to Turkish. In order to determine and confirm the factor structure of the Turkish BIDQ-S exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were performed. Convergent validity of the Turkish BIDQ-S- was determined by calculating the correlations of BIDQ-S, and the factors emerged, with the indicators of subjective well-being which consists of three components: positive affect (PA), negative affect (NA), and satisfaction with life (SWL) and of health related quality of life measured by Scoliosis Research Society Questionnaire (SRS-22).Results.The data from the present study demonstrated that different from the original, German and Chinese versions two factor solutions were found. The Turkish BIDQ-S also showed satisfactory internal consistency value with Cronbach a equals to 0.88 construct validity.Conclusion.In conclusion, current study shows that Turkish BIDQ-S is a valid and reliable questionnaire for assessing the body image concerns in patients with scoliosis in Turkish population.Level of Evidence: 4. © 2020 Lippincott Williams and Wilkins. THE RELATION BETWEEN LEADERSHIP STYLES AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES OF HOSPITAL MANAGERS
This article was produced from the doctorate study with the "effects of hospital managers' leadership styles on conflict management" title, which is carried out in the department of hospital management, institute of health sciences, Marmara University. This research has been done to reveal the leadership styles of hospital managers and their relationships with the conflict management strategies they use. Target population of the study is senior managers who are responsible for the administrative divisions of 159 Private Hospitals in Istanbul and their first subordinates in the organizational chart. According to the organizational chart, the number of personnel who work directly under the manager was found as 853 with the statements of managers. Sample selection was not made and all managers and personnel who were willing to participate in the research were included. According to the results of the research, there is no difference between the perception of leadership according to the hospital managers and their personnel. Statistically, the selections of leadership equally distribute between two groups. It was found that the transformational leadership is thought to be the most used leadership style for two groups. In terms of the conflict management styles, significant difference between managers and personnel was found in the obliging dimension. Accordingly, statistically significant relationship between leadership styles and conflict management strategies was found. (C) 2019 Published by Future Academy www.FutureAcademy.org.u
A novel design of high performance multilayered cylindrical dielectric lens antenna using 3D printing technology
In this work, design and realization of high performance, low-cost X-band multilayered cylindrical dielectric lens antenna (MLCDLA) is presented using 3D printing technology. Firstly, MLCDLA is designed and simulated in the complete 3D CST microwave studio (MWS) within the X- band as consisting of six layers and being fed through a conventional rectangular waveguide (WR90). These layers are in the form of cylindrical discs having different radii, thicknesses and made of a cheap polylactic acid material. These layers have also varying dielectric constant from 1.2 to 2.7 that are compatible for fused deposition modeling (FDM) based 3D-printing process. Secondly, a prototype of MLCDLA is produced by using a FDM based 3D-printer. 3D printed dielectric lens antenna is measured and a good return loss of almost more than 10 dB within the X-band with a high gain of 16-18 dBi are achieved as compared with the counterpart alternative designs. Thus, it can be concluded that the proposed novel design and prototyping method not only achieves the high radiation performance characteristics along X-band but also is a fast, low-cost, and effective method for prototyping dielectric lens structures for the microwave applications. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc

Based on e(+)e(-) collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb- 1 taken at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector, we report the measurements of the absolute branching fractions of D-0 -> K+K- pi(0 pi 0), D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), D-0 -> (KSKS-)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-) D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), and Dthorn. D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-). The decays D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), and D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-) are observed for the first time. The branching fractions of the decays D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-), Dthorn. D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-). D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 pi(+)pi(-) are measured with improved precision compared to the world-average values
Precise measurements of branching fractions for D-s(+) meson decays to two pseudoscalar mesons
We measure the branching fractions for seven D-s(+) two-body decays to pseudoscalar mesons, by analyzing data collected at root s = 4:178 similar to 4:226 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fractions are determined to beB(D-s(+) -> K+eta ') = (2:68 +/- 0:17 +/- 0:17 +/- 0:08) x 10(-3), B(D-s(+) -> eta 'pi(+)) = (37:8 +/- 0:4 +/- 2:1 +/- 1:2) x 10(-3), B(D-s(+) -> K+eta) = (1:62 +/- 0:10 +/- 0:03 +/- 0:05) x 10(-3), B(D-s(+) -> eta pi(+)) = (17:41 +/- 0:18 +/- 0:27 +/- 0:54) x 10(-3), B(D-s(+) -> (K+Ks0)) = (15:02 +/- 0:10 +/- 0:27 +/- 0:47) x 10(-3), B(D-s(+) -> K-s(0)pi(+)) = (1:109 +/- 0:034 +/- 0:023 +/- 0:035) x 10(-3), B(D-s(+) -> K+pi(0)) = (0:748 +/- 0:049 +/- 0:018 +/- 0:023) x 10(-3),where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic, and the third are from external input branching fraction of the normalization mode D-s(+) -> K+K-pi(+). Precision of our measurements is significantly improved compared with that of the current world average values
Whole exome sequencing reveals novel candidate gene variants for MODY
Maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY) is a monogenic subtype of diabetes mellitus. Although 14 genes were associated to different subtypes of MODY, 30-40% of MODY patients have unidentified genetic mutations. In this study, we conducted whole exome sequencing (WES) in four Turkish MODY suspected patients in two families who do not carry any pathological variants in four frequent MODY genes (HNF1A, GCK, HNF1B and HNF4A). Initially, the variants were scanned for the known 14 MODY genes and a gene set related to glucose metabolism. Secondly, the destructive (frameshift, inframe insertion/deletion, initiator codon variant, splice acceptor/ donor variant, stop gained/lost) and missense variants in novel candidate genes shared by two patients of the same family were assessed by different bioinformatic tools. As a result, a total of three rare and novel probably pathogenic heterozygous missense variants (p.His307Gln in c-Myc, p.Asp129Asn in CDK4 and p.Gly107Ser in ARHGDIA) in candidate genes were identified in two families. This study revealed the presence of nonsynonymous alterations in novel candidate genes which were implicated in the insulin secretion. This is the first WES study which reveals novel candidate genes in Turkish MODY patients although functional analyses are required to confirm the pathogenicity of these variants
