Measurement of Cross Section for e(+)e(-) -> Xi(-)(Xi)over-bar(+) Near Threshold at BESIII
The Born cross sections and effective form factors for process e(+)e(-) -> Xi(-)(Xi) over bar (+) are measured at eight center-of-mass energies between 2.644 and 3.080 GeV, using a total integrated luminosity of 363.9 pb(-1 )e(+) e(-) collision data collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. After performing a fit to the Born cross section of e(+)e(-) -> Xi(-)(Xi) over bar (+), no significant threshold effect is observed
Behavioral Portfolio Theory
The aim of this study is to explain behavioral portfolio theory in a theoretical way. The study starts with the definition of portfolio which is a financial asset that consists of various securities such as stocks and bonds and derivative products, held by a particular person or group. Also, portfolio management is the management of securities according to investors’ returns and risk targets. There are two basic portfolio management theories in finance literature. The first is the traditional portfolio (simple diversification) approach based on the diversification of securities. The second is the modern portfolio theory, which is based on a more mathematical basis. Modern portfolio theory mathematically shows the measurement of the risk and return of a portfolio of two or more securities and the determination of optimal portfolios. Markowitz’s mean-variance model is the first mathematical explanation of the idea of diversifying investments and is the cornerstone of many risk models developed such as capital asset pricing model and arbitrage pricing model in later years. The empirical studies reveal that investors do not act rationally as financial models assume and anomalies occur. Thus, behavioral finance tries to fill the gap in this area and states that investors should be considered “normal” rather than rational. Prospect theory developed by Kahneman and Tversky (1979), brings psychological explanations to finance issues. Mental accounting in behavioral finance prevents the rule of taking into account the correlation between the returns of an investment. Also, herd behavior of investors distorts the efficiency of the markets and leads to volatility in financial markets. When investors show herd behavior, they do not care about the information received and tend to imitate other investor behavior. Behavioral portfolio theory (BPT) emerged as a descriptive alternative to Markowitz’s mean-variance portfolio theory. BPT connects two issues, the creation of portfolios and the design of securities. There are two versions of the BPT model: single mental accounting (BPT-SA) in which the portfolio is integrated into one mental accounting and multiple mental accountin

Study of e(+)e(-) -> 2(p(p)over-bar) at center-of-mass Energies Between 4.0 and 4.6 GeV
Using data taken at 23 center-of-mass energies between 4.0 and 4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider and with a total integrated luminosity of approximately 15 fb(-1), the process e(+)e(-) -> 2(p (p) over bar) is studied for the first time. The Born cross sections for e(+)e(-) -> 2(p (p) over bar) are measured, and no significant structure is observed in the lineshape. The baryon pair (pp and (p) over bar(p) over bar) invariant mass spectra are consistent with phase space, therefore no hexaquark or di-baryon state is found
Cancel-for-Any-Reason Insurance Recommendation Using Customer Transaction-Based Clustering
In the travel insurance industry, cancel-for-any-reason insurance, also known as a cancellation protection service (CPS), is a recent attempt to strike a balance between customer satisfaction and service provider (SP) profits. However, some exceptional circumstances, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic, have led to a dramatic decrease in SP revenues, especially for non-refundable tickets purchased early with CPS. This paper begins by presenting a risk group segmentation of customers in an online ticket reservation system. Then, a CPS fee is recommended depending on the different customer risk groups provided by the cluster segmentation via different clustering algorithms such as centroid-based K-means, hierarchical agglomerative, DBSCAN, and artificial neural network-based SOM algorithms. According to the implemented cluster metrics, which include the Silhouette index, Davies-Bouldin index, Entropy index, and DBCV index, the SOM algorithm presents the most appropriate result. After predicting the new customer cluster, a CPS fee will be calculated with the proposed adaptive CPS method based on the cluster segmentation weights. Determining the weight of each cluster is related to the total CPS revenue threshold for all clusters defined by the SP. Therefore, to avoid a loss for SPs, the total CPS revenue will be kept constant with the threshold that the SP has been adjusted. The experimental results based on real-world data show that the risk group segmentation of customers helps to maintain a balance between CPS fees and SP profits. Finally, according to the calculated weights, the proposed model pegs the SP gain/loss variation with a 0.00012 exchange ratio
Opinions About Death in People Receiving Dialysis
Objective: People receiving dialysis have a high mortality rate due to life-threatening, chronic renal failure. These patients experience the fear of pain and suffering, loneliness and death in the haemodialysis unit. This research aimed at determining the perception of death in people receiving dialysis.
Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive research was conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in public hospitals in the cities of Mersin, Izmir, Antalya, Erzurum, Samsun and Gaziantep. A total 240 patients were treated in the dialysis units of these hospitals. Participants were selected with stratified random sampling. For data collection, a patient information form was prepared by the researcher. Data from the study were analysed with Tukey Honest Significant Difference and one-way ANOVA, using an SPSS version 11.5 software package (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences Windows, IBM Corp., Armonk, NY). The statistical significance level was defined as p < 0.05.
Results: People receiving dialysis were found to be in a mildly depressive emotional state and they had death anxiety. Death-related anxiety and depression were more common among the female study participants compared to the male participants. Single patients exhibited higher levels of death anxiety compared to married patients.
Conclusion: We recommend a holistic and personalised care to allow people receiving dialysis to express their feelings and to overcome the death anxiety. Further research is needed to improve dignified person-centred care for people receiving dialysis
Relationship Between Reform and Accounting : A Review of Martin Luther And Thomas Munzer or the Introduction of Accounting
Association of The Relationship Between Eating Behavior, Parental Feeding Style And Body Weight in Children
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of parental feeding styles and children’s eating behavior patterns on both low body weight and obesity. Methods: This study was a descriptive and cross-sectional. The cohort consisted of the preschool and elementary school parents (350 children) of a school in Istanbul/Turkey, 244 parents were participated between 15 April-15 June 2018. Children’s Eating Behavior Questionnaire and Parental Feeding Style Questionnaire were applied. Descriptive statistical methods were used to explain children’s characteristics. Parametric methods were used for variables with normal distribution and non-parametric statistical methods were used for data with abnormal distribution. Spearman’s rho was used to determine the relationship between scores obtained from both questionnaires and BMI. Mann-Whitney U test was used for non-normally distributed variables and t-test or independent variables was used to determine the difference between the mean scores according to gender. Results: The median age of the children was 7.3 (5-10) years. Mean BMI Z-score value was 0.4 ± 1.4. According to BMI Z- score; 4.9% (n: 12) were underweight, 56.6% (n: 138) were normal weight, 26.6% (n: 65) were overweight and 11.9% (n:29) were obese. Underweight children were picky about food consumption. Overweight/obese children were prone to both emotional overeating and under eating and enjoyed eating more. Parental emotional feeding style was associated with emotional overeating, under eating and food selectivity scores and they enjoyed eating more. Conclusion: Applying practical and reliable methods to assess nutritional habits may help to diagnose and prevent malnutrition problems early in childhood. Healthy nutrition behavior could be improved with proper parental feeding styles

Studying the Liason between Motor Unit Number Estimate (MUNE) and the Total Slope of a Stimulus-Response (SR) Curve of Compound Muscle Action Potential (CMAP) Scan
Objective: This study aims to reveal the connection between the MUNE and the Total Slope of the SR Curve of the CMAP Scan. Introduction: MUNE being a neurophysiological method is utilized in diagnosing and monitoring Neuromuscular Disorders. CMAP Scan relying on the gradual stimulation of motor neurons and recording their responses. A Stimulus-Response (SR) curve results in this process to observe the course of these disorders. In normal cases, SR curve almost represents a sigmoid function. In cases with Motor Unit (MU) loss, beside higher stimulus intensities required for CMAP Scan, the alteration in the shape of SR curve influences the slope of this curve. Thus, a new global variable referred as Total Slope might be described that can be associated with MUNE. Material and Methods: In a simulation software motor neuron groups possessing 5 to-300 axons were created and stimulated gradually with currents from 0 to 99 mA. The CMAPs being the responses in SR curve were used to compute the voltage differences. All slopes corresponding to each voltage differences were summed to compute the Total Slope. The correlation between MU number the Total Slope was investigated statistically. Results and Discussion: The coefficient of determination and the Pearson correlation coefficient between MU number and the Total Slope were found as 0.9973 and 0.999 respectively. This suggests a linear relationship between MU number and the Total Slope. Conclusion and Recommendation: The total slope can be regarded as a new feature in constructing new mathematical models as the mean slope recently described in a recent study. Moreover, new features associated with the slope of the SR curve can be identified in future studies. © 2021 IEEE
