    Measurement of the Absolute Branching Fractions for Purely Leptonic D-s(+) Decays

    We report new measurements of the branching fraction B(Dv), where lis either mu or tau (-> pi), based on 6.32 fbof electron-positron annihilation data collected by the BESIII experiment at six center-of-mass energy points between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV. Simultaneously floating the Ds -> mu mu components yields B(D -> tau) = (5.21 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.17) x 102, B(D -> mu mu) (5.35 +/- 0.13 +/- 0.16) x 103, and the ratio of decay widths R = Gamma(D -> tau tau)/Gamma -> mu&m)= 9.73-0.58 +/- 0.36, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. No evidence of CP asymmetry is observed in the decay rates Ds +/- -> mu +/- v mu and D +/- -> tau +/-= (+2.9 +/- 4.8 +/- 1.0)%. Constraining our measurement to the Standard Model expectation of lepton universality (R = 9.75), we find the more precise results B(D -> tau = (5.22 +/- 0.10 +/- 0.14) x 10-2and A(+/-) = (-0.1 +/- 1.9 +/- 1.0)%. Combining our results with inputs external to our analysis, we determine the C -> (S) over bar quark mixing matrix element, D+ decay constant, and ratio of the decay constants to be vertical bar V vertical bar = 0.973 +/- 0.009 +/- 0.014, f D+ = 249.9 +/- 2.4 +/- 3.5 MeV, and f D+ / f D = 1.232 +/- 0.035, respectively

    Determination of the Lambda(c)+ spin via the reaction e(+)e(-) -> Lambda(c)(Lambda)over-bar(c)

    We report on a comparison of two possible Lambda(+)(c) spin hypotheses, J = 1/2 and 3/2, via the process e(+)e(-) -> Lambda(c)(Lambda) over bar (c) using the angular distributions of Lambda(+)(c) decays into pK(S)(0), Lambda pi(+), Sigma(0)pi(+) and Sigma(+)pi(0). The data were recorded at root sp = 4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 587 pb(-1). The. thornc spin is determined to be J = 1/2, with this value favored over the 3 2 hypothesis with a significance corresponding to more than 6 Gaussian standard deviations

    Observation of a Resonant Structure in e(+)e(-)-> Omega Eta and Another in e(+)e(-)-> Omega pi(0) at center-of-mass Energies Between 2.00 and 3.08 GeV

    Born cross sections for the processes e(+)e(-) -> omega eta and e(+)e(-) -> omega pi(0) have been determined for centerof-mass energies between 2.00 and 3.08GeVwith the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The results obtained in this work are consistent with previous measurements but with improved precision. Two resonant structures are observed. In the e(+)e(-) -> omega eta cross sections, a resonance with a mass of (2176 +/- 24 +/- 3) MeV/c(2) and a width of (89 +/- 50 +/- 5) MeV is observed with a significance of 6.2 sigma. Its properties are consistent with the phi(2170). In the e(+)e(-) -> omega pi(0) cross sections, a resonance denoted Y (2040) is observed with a significance of more than 10 sigma. Its mass and width are determined to be (2034 +/- 13 +/- 9) MeV/c(2) and (234 +/- 30 +/- 25) MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic.     Investigation of Microhardness Properties of the Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube Additive Mgb2 Structure By Using The Vickers Method

    In this study, the effect of multi-walled carbon nanotube doping to MgB2 compound on microhardness properties of MgB2 was investigated by using solid-state reaction method. The amount of multi-walled carbon nanotubes was chosen as 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4% by weight of total MgB2. All samples were obtained by sintered at 650 degrees C temperatures. The microhardness properties of the samples obtained were examined using the Vickers method. At the same time, the samples obtained were analyzed according to Meyer & rsquo;s Law, proportional sample resistance (PSR) model, Hays-Kendall (HK) approach and elastic/plastic deformation (EPD) model. Samples were found to exhibit indentation size effect (ISE) behavior. It was understood that the multi-walled carbon nanotubes doped to the samples made MgB2 softer by reducing the intergranular bonding of the MgB2 structure. In addition, it was found that the force applied to the samples caused both plastic and elastic deformation on the samples

    Perceived Parenting Styles and Emotional Eating: The Mediating Role of Coping Styles

    The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of avoidance and compensatory coping styles in the relationship between perceived parenting styles and emotional eating in adults. Method: The study sample consisted of 301 individuals. The Young Parenting Inventory, the Emotional Eating Scale, the Young-Rygh Avoidance Inventory and the Young Compensatory Inventory were used to collect the study data. Results: Age; body mass index; overcompensating coping style responses of rebellion and counterdependency; and distraction through activity seen in the avoidance coping style were significant predictors of emotional eating. However, the variable model created did not indicate that coping styles had a mediating effect on emotional eating behavior. Conclusion: Consideration of early maladaptive schemas is valuable to understanding the psychological processes involved in emotional eating. The results of this study may be help to develop greater insight into emotional eating and guide emotional and behavioral interventions. © 2021 Yerkure Tanitim ve Yayincilik Hizmetleri A.S..     The Effect of Innovation and Participation as Workplace Values on Job Satisfaction and the Mediating Effect of Psychological Ownership

    Job satisfaction is an important construct in the organizational behavior domain because it affects several organizational variables, such as performance, organizational citizenship behavior, and organizational commitment. This study investigates the effect of innovation and participation as workplace values on job satisfaction and the mediating role of psychological ownership. Participants (N = 316) were adults working at different hotels in Antalya, Turkey. The results show innovation and participation as workplace values manifest their effects on job satisfaction through psychological ownership. Moreover, psychological ownership, along with participation, is one of the best estimators of job satisfaction, while participation is the best estimator of psychological ownership among studied variables. © The Author(s) 2021

    Friction and wear properties of heavy load truck composite brake linings

    Materials for friction used in brakes should fulfill many requirements, such as stable friction performance in all conditions, lower change in the friction coefficient, high wear resistance and low wear rate. In this study, three different compositions were produced to investigate the effects of each composition and its manufacturing parameters. Three different compositions, which are called standard, fly ash and sisal fiber mixture, were produced to be compared with existing commercial heavy-duty truck brake lining. These compositions were homogeneously mixed and hot molded at different pressures and temperatures. The post-curing effect was also investigated in some of the samples. The wear and friction tests were performed using a friction tester. The density and hardness of the samples were also analyzed in relation to compositions and manufacturing parameters. The coefficient of friction and wear behavior was compared with a commercial heavy-duty truck brake lining. The results suggest that there is a high potential in the samples investigated for commercial trucks applications of brake lining products that are highly suitable from the environmental and cost reduction view. © 2021 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany 2021

    Türk destanlarının tamamlanması aşamasından itibaren yazılı olarak karşımıza çıkan Hamza-nâme metinlerinin 72 ciltten oluştuğu bilinmektedir. İlk defa 15. Yüzyılda Hamzavî’nin kaleme aldığı düşünülen Hamza-nâme’nin her cildinde birçok olay yer almaktadır. Sahip-kıran Hamza ekseninde anlatılan olaylar genellikle dini içeriklidir. Çok değişik coğrafyada geçen olayların şahıs kadrosu da oldukça kalabalıktır. Eski Anadolu Türkçesi döneminin söz varlığı ile yazılan eser, değişik mesleklere mensup kişiler tarafından İstanbul’un farklı mekânlarında okunmuştur. Ağırlıklı olarak Türkçe kelimelerin yer aldığı metin sade ve sürükleyicidir. Akıcı bir anlatımın oluşmasında metin boyunca “vâkı‘a” kelimesi ile karşılanan rüyaların rolü büyüktür. Genellikle “yol gösterme, haber verme, uyarma, korkutma ve müjdeleme” gibi fonksiyonları üstlenen rüyalar metnin örgülenmesini sağlamıştır. Bütün bu rüya motiflerini incelediğimiz Hamzanâme’nin birinci cildinde görmek mümkündür

    Determination of the Absolute Branching Fractions of D-0 -> K(-)e(+)nu(e) and D+ -> (K)over-bar(0)e(+)nu(e)

    Using 2.93 fb(-1) of e(+)e(-) collision data collected with the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV, we measure the absolute branching fractions of the decays D-0 -> K(-)e(+)nu(e) and D+ -> (K) over bar (0)e(+)nu(e) to be (3.567 +/- 0.031(stat) +/- 0.025(syst))% and (8.68 +/- 0.14(stat) +/- 0.16(syst))%, respectively. Starting with the process e(+)e(- ) -> D (D) over bar, a new reconstruction method is employed to select events that contain candidates for both D -> (K) over bare(+)nu(e) and (D) over bar -> Ke(-)(nu) over bar (e) decays. The branching fractions reported in this work are consistent within uncertainties with previous BESIII measurements that selected events containing D -> (K) over bare(+)nu(e) and hadronic (D) over bar decays. Combining our results with the lifetimes of the D degrees and D+ mesons and the previous BESIII measurements leads to a ratio of the two decay partial widths of (Gamma) over bar (D0 -> K-e+)(nu e)/(Gamma) over bar (D+ -> (K) over bar 0e+)(nu e) = 1.039 +/- 0.021. This ratio supports isospin symmetry in the D-0 -> K(-)e(+)nu(e) and D+ -> (K) over bar (0)e(+)nu(e) decays within 1.9 sigma
