Kaedah pengawalan tingkah laku bagi anak mengalami Autisme: Controlling methods of tantrum behaviour for children with Autism

Tantrum is a behaviour commonly associated with autistic children, i.e., being prone to crying, screaming, raging, and hitting themselves when their desires are not fulfilled. Children with autism exhibit tantrums in public without feeling wary or embarrassed. They are unaware of their behaviour due to limited abilities in thinking, communication, and social interaction. It is unfortunate that in this case, some people in society look at children with autism as a problem and will look askance, making the parents feel embarrassed. Consequently, these children will no longer be brought out because of the negative views of society. This article aims to explain the methods of controlling tantrum behaviour in children with autism. Document analysis is the research method applied in this study based on past studies, journals, and books related to autism and tantrums. This article emphasises four controlling methods of tantrum behaviour: (i) the use of social story technique, (ii) parent involvement in children’s activities, (iii) emphasis on Quranic education; and (iv) mediative learning methods. These methods can help control children’s unstable emotions and tantrum behaviour. All parties, especially parents, teachers, and the community, must play their roles to ensure this tantrum behaviour can be controlled without causing self-injury to the autistic children themselves and those around them

Hak pasangan bukan Islam dalam harta perkahwinan terdahulu menurut perspektif syarak: The rights of non-Muslim couples to previous marriage property according to Islamic perspective

Religious differences are among the obstacles to heirship between husband and wife, parents and children, as well as relatives. In issues involving spouses from previous civil marriages, when one of them converts to Islam, the issue of inheriting property between them is frequently raised, if the marriage has not been dissolved yet. Thus, this article analyses the issue of inheritance and division of matrimonial property from the previous civil marriage between spouses of different religions, that is, Muslims and non-Muslims, according to Islam.  The objective of this discussion includes the concept of inheritance and the division of matrimonial property between husband and wife of different religions, that is, Muslims and non-Muslims in Islam. It also analyses the type of matrimonial property in the marriage. This is a qualitative study, that refers to both primary and secondary data.  Moreover, the data gathered is then analysed descriptively and presented according to its relevant themes. The research findings found that in the context of differences of religious belief between ex-husband and wife, there are properties that can be claimed and cannot be claimed by the non-Muslim spouse. This research concludes that inheritance and nominated property cannot be claimed among them because they fall under the category of properties belonging to Muslims that cannot be claimed by any non-Muslims. Whereas other property, such as inter vivos, jointly acquired property, and maintenance, is not included under the category of inheritance property, it can be claimed by non-Muslims

Masalah Semantik dalam terjemahan Majāz Mursal al-Quran: analisis terhadap hubungan Musabbab: Semantic problem in the translation of Quranic synecdoche: analysis on the relationship of effect

Kerangka pembentukan modul pengajaran bahasa al-Quran untuk masyarakat awam: The designing framework of Quranic language teaching module for the public

Learning Arabic through the Quran has begun to attract interest in our society. This arises from the influence of Islamic programmes in the mass media that broadcast Quranic teachings such as Quranic verse explanations as well as Quran recitations. They need a comprehensive module that suits their interests. Inevitably, society is exposed to the Arabic language, which is also the medium of the Quran and the Hadith. Moreover, most acts of worship in Islamic traditions, such as the five daily prayers, require the use of the Arabic language for them to be accepted by Allah. Thus, the researcher uses the ADDIE Framework Methodology besides the Syeikh Abū Ḥassan al-Nadwī Module, the Knowles Module in adult learning, and the “Pusar” Methodology to develop the module for this study. This study aims to build the framework of an Arabic learning module with interesting techniques. The objective of this study is to publish a basic Quran Arabic module that is suitable for use by the public in Malaysia. This study also explores new approaches through the use of basic or primary colours. Furthermore, this module exposes the public to the basic Arabic grammar in the Quran in a simple manner. The researcher would like to suggest that detailed studies to facilitate the public's understanding of the Quran through the Arabic language be intensified

Morality is one of the main foundations of Islam. One of the purposes of the Prophet (pbuh)’s message is to perfect morals, other than calling people to worship Allah. This study aims to introduce Imam al-Qushayriyy as a Sufi figure and explain the principle of moral development according to him based on his work entitled al-Risāla. Al-Qushayriyy’s prowess in the field of Sufism is indisputable, especially his contribution to proving the consistency of Sufi teachings with the basic principles of sharia. His work, al- Risālah is a masterpiece and a benchmark for mystics towards the formation of morality. The results of the study show that al-Qushayriyy emphasises the aspect of purification of the soul (tazkiyyat al-nafs) in the construction of morality. Among the methods of purification of the heart that are mentioned are repentance, striving (mujāhada), retreat (khalwa), seclusion (‘uzla), scrupulousness (wara‘), renunciation (zuhd), silence, hunger, abandonment of [carnal] desire (shahwah), and remembrance. While the moral aspects that he highlighted are patience, humility, moral character, munificence (jud), generosity, companionship, and protecting the hearts of Sufi masters. These principles are explained by al-Qushayriyy based on the Quranic verses, hadith, and quotations from the companions and scholars. Based on the principles presented, it is understood that the formation of morality has a direct relationship with the purification of the soul and is further strengthened with the guidance of Sufi masters or teachers

The Tahfiz Programme in tertiary education begins formally with the establishment of Darul Quran JAKIM. The development of tahfiz has shown positive acceptance in Higher Education due to the existence of an integrated tahfiz programme consisting of both tahfiz and academic studies. However, there are still scores of weaknesses and disadvantages in the practise of the tahfiz teaching and learning system that require refining and improvement. This study explores the teaching and learning system of tahfiz at UNITEN. This quantitative study is aimed at examining the implementation of the learning factor, which involved 83 respondents among Tahfiz al-Quran JAKIM-UNITEN graduates. The sample selection is based on the purposive sampling method, referring to Krejcie and Morgan sampling. The feedback was obtained through a questionnaire. The obtained data is processed using IBM SPSS Statistical Software, version 19.0, which includes descriptive analysis to explain the respondents’ profiles and inference analysis through a T-test to find out the difference between gender and structure of study in the learning tahfiz factor. The findings showed that the tahfiz learning factor is at a moderately high level. In addition, the findings of the study do not reveal significant differences in the practise of learning systems between genders or in the structure of study. The implications of the study have an impact on improving teaching and learning quality, especially at the tertiary education level. The tahfiz programme in tertiary education should be sustained in order to preserve the miraculous nature of the Quran and produce a Quran-literate generation

Ḥalāl linguistic meaning understanding among Non-Muslim in Malaysia: Kefahaman makna linguistik halal di kalangan Orang Bukan Islam di Malaysia

Ḥalāl discourse is not only familiar to Muslims but also to non-Muslims in Malaysia. This study discusses the response of non-Muslims to ḥalāl discourse with the objective of identifying the ḥalāl linguistic meaning among non-Muslims in Malaysia. The discussion of meaning is based on the language interpretation used in Sunni pragmatic research, such as how language is perceived as having either literal or figurative meanings based on Mohamed & Yunis (2013) and Russell (1940) approach that focuses on meaning and fact in his language theory. The data in the discussion related to the non-Muslims response towards 5 categories of ḥalāl implementation, namely ḥalāl food, ḥalāl certification, ḥalāl sign, ḥalāl name or brand of the product, and ḥalāl supply chain. The data were the controversial ḥalāl issues from 2014 to 2018 taken from local newspapers such as Star Online. The discussion demonstrates that the understanding of non-Muslims linguistically can be traced from the keywords, such as understanding, compliance, awareness, acceptance, and recognised, which have denotatively positive meanings. However, there are other words with denotatively negative meanings, such as confusion and sensitivity. The result also shows ḥalāl does not only concern Muslims but non-Muslims as well. In principle, Islam does not prohibit non-Muslims from consuming the products offered based on the guidelines recommended in Islam. The findings reveal that ḥalāl understanding in Malaysia still needs to be strengthened among non-Muslims. Therefore, the understanding and knowledge of ḥalāl implementation are the main pillars in maintaining the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims in this society

Pembangunan model penilaian Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) untuk bahasa Arab di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi: Developing an assessment model for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) for the Arabic language at Higher Educational Institutions

The Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) platform is one of the online learning platforms used around the world, especially in higher education institutions (HEIs). It is one of the main platforms for teaching and learning in the Malaysian HEIs during the Covid-19 pandemic that has spread worldwide since December 2019. However, some lecturers have voiced their concerns about conducting assessments on MOOCs, specifically for Arabic language learning. Therefore, the development of a MOOC assessment model for Arabic can be used as an alternative solution. This article aims to elucidate complex problems and analyse the structure and essential elements to be applied in the MOOC assessment model. This model was developed based on the consensus of seven experts. Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) was utilised in the development of this model. The six main steps involved in the model development were identifying relevant elements, establishing relationships between variables, developing a self-interaction structure matrix (SSIM), generating a model from the ISM approach, delivering a presentation on the study model, and finally presenting and amending the final model of the study. A total of seven elements were identified by the experts for the implementation of the MOOC assessment for Arabic. The important element is the element that determines the type of assessment (self-assessment, peer, summative assessment, formative) to measure student performance, which ends with the element of determining the certification requirements for students to complete the course
