HUBUNGAN ANTARA GAME DAN PUSTAKAWAN SEBAGAI SARANA EDUKASI PEMUSTAKA
No full textLibrarians play an important role in improving literacy. Literacy improvement programs require quite a lot of funds and resources. Games can be a means of increasing reader literacy. This study aims to observe citations and words that are widely used in abstracts and titles of previous research regarding the use of games by librarians. This study uses a quantitative method called bibliometrics to collect and analyze data. Data was taken from the Scopus website as many as 117 from 1981-2023. Data were analyzed using R Studio software. The results show that most of the documents cited were written by authors from European countries and the United States. However, none of this previous research was cited by fellow local authors. The results above also show that the words that are often used in both the title and abstract of previous research include the word health

Perlawanan Puisi Sittun ‘Aman karya Tamim al-Borghouti terhadap Rezim Zionis di Jalur Gaza
No full textArabic poetry has evolved in its function over time, encompassing more than just romantic words, praise, pride, or lamentation. It now includes themes of resistance, revolutionary milestones, and struggles. This study focuses specifically on Tamim al-Borghouti's poem, "Sittun 'Aman," and its resistance against the Zionist regime in the Gaza strip. Riffaterre's semiotic perspective is used to analyze and interpret the verses of the poem through heuristic and hermeneutic readings. The findings of this study consist of a heuristic reading that identifies stanzas containing words of resistance, as well as a hermeneutic reading that reveals the poem's advocacy for freedom, justice, and humanist morality. It emphasizes that this freedom is not limited to a particular group but is inclusive and rejects fanaticism. Additionally, the poem criticizes the United Nations world government for its failure to effectively address human rights violations. This criticism stems from the disconnect between the goals set by the United Nations and the reality of events, particularly those occurring in the Gaza strip

No full text"This research aims to find out whether there is an influence of the quality of library services on students' reading interest at SDN 8 Pulau Rimau, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The approach in this research is quantitative descriptive. The sample in this research was classes V and VI, totaling 50 students. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence between the quality of library services and students' reading interest. This indicates that work discipline positively influences employee performance because the t-table value and significance level are < (0.05), indicating a positive influence. Based on the coefficient of determination test results, R square has a value of 0.617 or 61.7%. This figure illustrates the extent of the variable influence of Library Service Quality on students' reading interest, while the remaining 39.3% is influenced by other variables outside this regression equation or variables that were not studied.

No full textThis article explores the historical circulation of Ottoman Turkey, highlighting the significant transition from a dynastic system of government to the establishment of the Turkish Republic in 1923. The Ottoman dynasty, which was originally a vast and influential empire, underwent dramatic changes during the 20th century. The main focus was on the post-World War I period when radical reforms were implemented to address internal and external challenges. This analysis covers socio-political aspects, tracing the changes that overhauled the structure of the feudal empire into a modern republican state. The method used is by using a method of literature study or library research related to historical or other similar themes. Based on the theory of the History of Islamic Civilization. As for data collection analyzing historical texts, collecting relevant data, and describing them. The results of this paper reveal that: First, every Kingdom will inevitably experience triumphs and setbacks, for a civilization is inseparable from it. Second, Ottoman Turkey was one of the influential dynasties of world civilization, and it was also crowned as the heir to the Islamic caliphate. Third, the Ottoman Turks underwent significant changes in terms of culture, socio-politics, economy, and others. The setback he experienced led to the secularization of Turkey which began as a dynastic state or caliphate into a republic. No full textThe extraordinary enthusiasm of the people attending the Basapa tradition event was generally reasonable because they respected those who had contributed to spreading Islam in Minangkabau and again there were several sacred things attached to Sheikh Burhanuddin so that it became an attraction for pilgrims to attend the rituals carried out every year in the month of Safar. Basapa is a ritual in the form of a simultaneous pilgrimage at the tomb of Sheikh Burhanuddin in Ulakan. Although the cleric figure of Sheikh Burhanuddin of the Tariqa Syattariah congregation, at the Basapa event, those who attended were not only followers of the Syattariah congregation but also the Muslim community in general. The formulation of the problem, namely: What is the background of the development and procession of the Basapa ritual in Ulakan and why the Basapa ritual became sacred in Ulakan, so that it was attended by many people in general from various parts outside the province of West Sumatra. This type of research is included in qualitative descriptive research, as for the systematic series of this research, namely: data sources, data collection techniques and data processing and analysis techniques. The result of the research is that mass pilgrimages occur at the Basapa Ritual which is considered sacred to its followers. The resultant attractive-consolidative Basapa ritual provides reconciliation from various socio-cultural aspects, especially giving the value of cultural inclusiveness to Minangkabau Islam and the sacredness of local wisdom or local wisdom from the Basapa tradition initially based on a religious dimension, but in its improvement, it became a local convention which in the end became a single ethnic identity

No full textThis study was designed to examine individual information needs in the utilization of library resources by lecturers as active users in the Imam Bonjol State Islamic University Library Padang. The purpose of this study is to determine the information needs of lecturers with the availability of library materials and the extent to which these materials are used by lecturers and provide recommendations for improvement. This research is a descriptive quantitative research with a sample using proported stratified random sampling technique so that the number of samples is 193 people from 376 lecturers as active users. The main finding of this study is that there are many library resources such as textbooks, journals, research monographs, research reports, newspapers, indexes/abstracts, internet services, as well as dictionaries/encyclopedias and others. Lecturers use the library mainly for consulting reference materials in the form of periodicals especially journal articles in electronic form at 65%. In general, 75% of lecturers need and use the library for research purposes and utilize books more than other sources of information. A number of recommendations were made to improve library usage, but the most prominent suggestion was that the library should acquire more up-to-date and relevant materials, and lecturers should be informed about newly acquired materials

No full textTitle: “The Role of Librarians in the Utilization of Reference Collections at the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province". The aim of this research is research is to find out and the role of librarians and the utilization of collections for reference service users at the Archives and Libraries Office of West Sumatra Province. This research uses qualitative methods by using observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain primary data, as well as documentation to obtain secondary data. Based on the result, it can be it can be seen that the reference librarian of the West Sumatra Provincial Archives and Libraries Office in meeting the information needs of the library users has played a role in helping users who have difficulty finding the desired collection, besides that the reference librarian also directs the user to find the collection on the shelf and guides the user to search for printed collections by doing it together to find the collection needed. The innovations made by the reference librarian of the West Sumatra Provincial Archives and Libraries Office are such as carrying out user education activities which include direct guidance, which includes collection search guidance, guidance on using OPAC, and information search guidance. Librarians also provide reference cards for librarians who have not found the reference sources they need

No full textThis research aims to compare the effectiveness of using Static QR Codes and Dynamic QR Codes in the employee attendance system within the University of Bung Hatta environment. Static QR Codes, which store fixed information, are contrasted with Dynamic QR Codes that generate new codes each time they are scanned. The research methodology involves implementing both types of QR Codes at strategic locations within the university, with data collection encompassing response times, accuracy, and user satisfaction. The results indicate that Dynamic QR Codes excel in terms of security and accuracy, albeit requiring additional effort in implementation. The conclusion drawn from this research is that Dynamic QR Codes are recommended for employee attendance capture in a university setting, providing positive implications for human resource management in educational institutions. This study offers practical guidance for other educational institutions considering the adoption of similar technology

No full text1Lib1Ref (One Librarian, One Reference) is a movement to add references to Wikipedia articles that still need adequate references. 1Lib1Ref is currently open for participation by librarians and the general public. Wikipedia considers librarians to have good skills and resources to support the quality and reliability of articles. During the activity period of January 15 to February 5 and May 15 to June 5 every year, supporters of this program also campaign #1Lib1Ref on social media, especially Twitter (X). The researcher applies the content analysis method to analyze 214 tweets containing the hashtag #1Lib1ReF on Twitter in 2022. From the analysis results, 4 (four) big themes often appeared during that year, namely the #1LibRef campaign, event promotion, regional sentiment, and sharing personal experiences
