DESAFIOS E POSSIBILIDADES NA INTERPRETAÇÃO EDUCACIONAL PARA ESTUDANTES SURDOS COM ESPECIFICIDADES
Full text linkEste artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre a atuação do tradutor e intérprete educacional de Libras-português com estudantes que apresentam outras especificidades. A pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, envolveu a aplicação de questionário estruturado, um encontro dialogado e a análise da cena enunciativa em sala de aula. A geração de dados contemplou vinte profissionais tradutores e intérpretes educacionais e um estudante surdo com autismo, de uma rede pública de ensino na região Sul do Brasil. A análise dos dados, baseada na Análise de Conteúdo (Bardin, 2015), revelou que a maioria dos participantes da pesquisa já atuou com estudantes surdos que apresentam outras especificidades, como transtornos de aprendizagem, TEA, TDAH, deficiências físicas e intelectuais, contudo, há uma preocupação dos profissionais com o contexto sócio-histórico do estudante e com sua atuação profissional diante da adversidade em sala de aula. Conclui-se que o conhecimento do tradutor e intérprete educacional sobre as especificidades dos estudantes surdos, como diagnósticos e fluência em Libras, impacta significativamente a prática interpretativa em sala de aula
Endodontists’ Self-Assessment about Pharmacological Strategies for Management of Endodontic Pain
Full text linkObjective: To assess the pharmacological strategies of a group of Brazilian endodontists regarding endodontic pain. Material and Methods: Specialists answered a questionnaire with two main themes: 1) Pharmacological prescription patterns and 2) Endodontic procedures and risk of postoperative pain. The collective data were presented as descriptive statistics. Results: Almost all endodontists reported using drugs for pain management, mainly for apical abscess (65.8%) and irreversible pulpitis (61%), as well as more after (59.6%) than before (23.3%) endodontic procedure. Dipyrone (72.6%) and ibuprofen (56.8%) were the most prescribed systemic drugs. The most used local anesthetics were mepivacaine (58.2%) and articaine (57.5%). When necessary, 74.7% of specialists use supplementary anesthesia with an additional technique. Extravasation of filling materials (81.5%), limit of apical obturation (71.2%), and instrumentation (66.4%) 1 mm beyond were the main endodontic procedures to increase the risk of postoperative pain. Conclusion: While most strategies employed by Brazilian Society of Endodontics members are evidence-based, divergences in responses highlight the need for further research. This underscores the importance of more profound insights and potential standardization in pain management strategies among professionals
Perception of Family Health Strategy Workers on Oral Health Care Provided to Women and Children in the First 1,000 Days
Full text linkObjective: To analyze the perceptions of professionals from Primary Health Care Units (PHCU) concerning oral health care (OHC) provided during the first 1,000 days of life. Material and Methods: This qualitative study was conducted from August 2019 to July 2020. Collective interviews (focal groups) were conducted on health rights in the first 1,000 days in nine PHCUs in two contrasting municipalities in Maranhão. Seven collective interviews were conducted with 57 professionals from all PHCUs in municipality A and a health district in B. Content analysis was used in the thematic modality to perform data analysis. Results: Nine professionals spoke about oral health in the first 1,000 days. The statements were organized into two categories. In one of the categories, professionals mentioned barriers to accessing dental care due to myths about the possibility of treatment, which were not restricted to the users\u27 knowledge but to that of the health professionals themselves. In the second category, the participants mentioned health education problems in which professionals are not heard and/or not understood by the community. Conclusion: There is a flaw in the training/continuing education of professionals concerning oral health in the first 1,000 days of life, especially regarding dental care during pregnancy. The participants still cannot help the population recognize dental care as a health right
The Effect of Combining Zirconia Primer with Different Adhesives on the Shear Bond Strength of Brackets Bonded to Zirconia Restorations
Full text linkObjective: To compare the shear bond strength (SBS) of orthodontic brackets using three types of adhesives, with and without the application of a zirconia primer. Material and Methods: A total of 144 glazed zirconia discs were prepared and randomly assigned to two groups. The first group was sandblasted, while the second group was roughened with a burr. Half of the discs in each group were treated with Zirconia Primer (Z Prime Plus), and the other half were not. The discs were then divided into three subgroups: Scotchbond Universal bonding (SBU) was used as the adhesive for the first subgroup, All Bond Universal bonding (ABU) for the second, and Transbond XT (TX) for the third to bond stainless steel brackets to the zirconia discs. TX composite was then used to bond the metal brackets to the discs. The discs were subjected to thermocycling, and both the SBS and the ARI index were measured. Results: In the bur roughening groups, the use of Z Prime Plus did not have a significant effect on the SBS of SBU and TX adhesives, but it significantly increased the SBS of the ABU adhesive. When comparing adhesives within the bur roughening groups, the SBS of TX was significantly lower than that of ABU and SBU adhesives, while there was no significant difference between ABU and SBU. In the sandblast group, there was no significant difference in SBS between the three adhesives. Comparing the two surface preparation methods, the SBS was higher with sandblasting than with bur roughening. Conclusion: The use of a zirconia primer increased the shear bond strength of the All Bond Universal adhesive. However, this increase was not significant for the other two adhesives tested
INSTITUTIONALITY: THE COMPOSITION OF A VOCABLE IN FOUCAULT: A COMPOSIÇÃO DE UM VOCÁBULO EM FOUCAULT
No full textEste artigo não será uma tentativa de determinar ou defender um conceito de instituição em Foucault. Ao contrário, partiremos da compreensão de que Foucault inúmeras vezes preferiu furtar-se do papel de analista institucional e deliberadamente não explicou o que entendia por “instituição” quando recorreu a tal palavra em publicações, nos cursos e em entrevistas. Porém, compreendendo que mesmo sem um rigor em torno do conceito de instituição, ele ainda tem um papel relevante na filosofia foucaultiana, proporemos um deslocamento da atenção e nos voltaremos para as institucionalidades. Tomando a institucionalidade como um dispositivo de leitura para questionar um determinado modo de operacionalizar os gestos em torno do poder, cuja função advém de muito antes das próprias instituições. Buscaremos a origem para as institucionalidades no poder soberano, assimilando a soberania nos termos foucaultianos, para então expor seu longo e acidentado trajeto até a construção e atuação das instituições propriamente. Para tais objetivos faremos um sistemático uso dos cursos Teorias e Instituições Penais, A Sociedade Punitiva e O Poder Psiquiátrico (além de outros cursos de forma auxiliar), da obra Vigiar e Punir e de alguns artigos e entrevistas publicados nos Ditos e Escritos. Por fim, destacaremos como tanto no poder soberano, quanto nas instituições modernas já bem implementadas, o que está em jogo e em disputa sempre foram e seguem sendo as institucionalidades. Este poder de recolher gestos na sociedade e dotá-los de poder sobre os sujeitos.This article will not be an attempt to determine or defend a concept of institution in Foucault. On the contrary, we will start from the understanding that Foucault repeatedly preferred to avoid the role of institutional analyst and deliberately did not explain what he understood by "institution" when he used that word in publications, courses, and interviews. However, understanding that even without rigor around the concept of institution, it still plays a relevant role in Foucault\u27s philosophy, we will propose a shift in attention and turn to institutionalities. Taking institutionality as a reading device to question a certain way of operationalizing gestures around power, whose function predates the institutions themselves. We will seek the origin of institutionalities in sovereign power, assimilating sovereignty in Foucauldian terms, in order to then expose its long and turbulent trajectory to the construction and operation of institutions proper. For these objectives, we will make systematic use of the courses Theories and Penal Institutions, The Punitive Society, and Psychiatric Power (in addition to other courses in an auxiliary way), the work Discipline and Punish, and some articles and interviews published in the Dits et Écrits. Finally, we will highlight how, both in sovereign power and in already well-implemented modern institutions, what is at stake and in dispute has always been and continues to be institutionalities: this power to collect gestures in society and endow them with power over subjects
CRIAÇÃO DE RÉPLICAS 3D DE CERÂMICA ARQUEOLÓGICA
No full textEste artigo destaca o uso de recursos tecnológicos para a criação de réplicas de cerâmicas arqueológicas a partir de um modelo tridimensional digital. Apresenta o processo para confecção de uma réplica produzida no âmbito do Programa de Extensão universitária “Patrimônio Arqueológico em Parintins-Amazonas”, desenvolvido na Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, no Centro de Estudos Superiores de Parintins. Após a aquisição das imagens foi feita a prototipagem física com o uso de uma impressora 3D e apresentado uma réplica do objeto original: um apêndice de cerâmica konduri em formato de cabeça da ave amazônica urubu-rei, que recebeu pintura em cor semelhante ao artefato arqueológico

No full textSelvagens e preguiçosos; ainda hoje são concepções que perpassam pela visão que muitas pessoas têm dos primeiros grupos sociais nativos brasileiros, levando mesmo a naturalizar tais ideias. Neste sentido, pretendemos analisar como se deu a construção destas representações sociais no que concerne à história da Paraíba, bem como entender quais as relações de poder que possibilitaram a construção/reprodução de tais sentidos para os seus primeiros grupos sociais nativos, durante a chamada colonização da Capitania Real da Paraíba, em fins do século XVI. Como resultado dessa relação conflituosa entre os conquistadores e os nativos, uma boa parte das populações nativas paraibanas foram dizimadas e o conhecimento que temos desses povos foram registrados, de alguma forma, a partir de uma visão preconceituosa dos colonizadores
Feira de Empreendedorismo como projeto das disciplinas de Educação Financeira e Projeto de Vida
No full textCom o objetivo de aliar as disciplinas eletivas do novo ensino médio, Educação Financeira e Projeto de Vida, foi realizado o projeto Feira do Empreendedorismo. Nesse relato de experiência, trouxemos as principais ideias e o desenvolvimento que nortearam esse projeto, que foi desenvolvido durante boa parte do ano letivo de 2022 em um colégio particular da cidade de Sorocaba-SP, em uma sala do 1º ano do Ensino Médio. O projeto visa atender as propostas sugeridas na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), que pontua a Educação Financeira e Projeto de Vida como área transdisciplinar. Abordando o tema empreendedorismo e levando os alunos a assumirem a prática de cidadania tendo a educação financeira como instrumento consciência social
