Get PDFO presente artigo visa apresentar à comunidade científica os resultados obtidos com as escavações para o restauro da Capela de Itans em 2015, no município de Itapiúna-CE. As atividades consistiram em documentação através de fotografia e desenho, escavação de trincheiras, unidades de escavação (UEs) e coleta sistemática do material arqueológico. As escavações revelaram os impactos causados por antigas reformas que foram responsáveis pelo processo de fragmentação dos remanescentes osteológicos e utilizaram parte dos antigos sedimentos do interior da capela como aterro para elevação de outras áreas
Leitura dialógico-discursiva de comentaríos on-line acerca da fala de Lula sobre Israel em Gaza
Get PDFReflecting the notion of discourse from structuralism to interactionism, this article explained the discursive interaction in comments on Facebook, about President Lula\u27s speech at a press conference in Ethiopia; its general objective was to investigate the construction of the discursive interaction present in comments, meeting the specific objectives: a) to describe the enunciative events generated in “discursive guidelines” put into circulation with the theme of President Lula\u27s speech; and b) analyze the phenomenon of discursive interaction on Facebook in comments based on the dialogical relationships and points of view invoked by social subjects in their comments on the network. The methodology adopted was Voloshinov\u27s, considering language over forms of discursive interaction. The results showed the functioning of discursive interaction through dialogical relationships and points of view. We conclude that the enunciative nature of language takes on infinite nuances in favor of the positions and the context in which they are found.Refletindo a noção de discurso do estruturalismo ao interacionismo, este artigo explicou a interação discursiva em comentários no Facebook, sobre a fala do Presidente Lula em coletiva de imprensa na Etiópia; seu objetivo geral foi de investigar a construção da interação discursiva presente em comentários, atendendo aos objetivos específicos: a) de descrever os acontecimentos enunciativos gerados em “pautas discursivas” postas em circulação com a temática da fala do Presidente Lula; e b) analisar o fenômeno da interação discursiva no Facebook em comentários em função das relações dialógicas e dos pontos de vista convocados pelos sujeitos sociais em seus comentários na rede. A metodologia adotada foi a de Volóchinov, considerando a língua sobre formas de interação discursiva. Os resultados mostraram o funcionamento da interação discursiva pelas relações dialógicas e dos pontos de vista. Concluímos que a natureza enunciativa da linguagem assume infinitas nuances em prol dos posicionamentos e do contexto em que são encontradas
Nikolas Ferreira e a taxação do Pix no Instagram: uma análise crítica da retórica nas redes sociais
Get PDFThis article analyzes the arguments of a video published on Instagram by federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL), related to the taxation of Pix. With a strong presence on social media and a conservative stance, the parliamentarian uses rhetorical resources to persuade public opinion. The research is based on Aristotle\u27s Rhetoric (2019), addressing appeals to ethos, pathos and logos, and on the contributions of Fiorin (2017), which help identify the discursive strategies employed. The analysis shows that the effectiveness of the discourse is linked to the combined use of these rhetorical elements, which contribute to shaping perceptions and expanding the repercussion of political messages. The study also proposes a critical reflection on the role of digital media in the propagation of ideological discourses and their sociopolitical consequences in contemporary Brazil. The research highlights how digital communication can be used strategically by public figures to consolidate narratives and influence public debate.Este artigo analisa a argumentação de um vídeo publicado no Instagram pelo deputado federal Nikolas Ferreira (PL), relacionado à taxação do Pix. Com forte presença nas redes sociais e postura conservadora, o parlamentar utiliza recursos retóricos para persuadir a opinião pública. A investigação fundamenta-se na Retórica de Aristóteles (2019), abordando os apelos ao ethos, pathos e logos, e nas contribuições de Fiorin (2017), que auxiliam na identificação das estratégias discursivas empregadas. A análise mostra que a eficácia do discurso está vinculada ao uso combinado desses elementos retóricos, que contribuem para moldar percepções e ampliar a repercussão das mensagens políticas. O estudo também propõe uma reflexão crítica sobre o papel das mídias digitais na propagação de discursos ideológicos e suas consequências sociopolíticas no Brasil contemporâneo. Inclusion of Pediatric Dentistry in the Curricular Structure of Dental Courses in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Get PDFObjective: To investigate the inclusion of pediatric dentistry in the curricular matrix of dental courses in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Material and Methods: A descriptive exploratory study was conducted. Searches were conducted from the e-MEC systems in December of 2023. The variables of interest were the categorization of the course (public or private), total course load, structuring of the teaching of pediatric dentistry (curricular, elective/optative or extension), course load of pediatric dentistry, number of semesters and nomenclature. Results: There are 28 dental courses in the state (three public and 25 private). Total course load ranged from 4,000 to 4,700 hours and 80% of the courses had ten semesters. Pediatric dentistry is curricular and normally available between the seventh and ninth semesters, with a total hourly load between 120 and 420 hours, generally in two consecutive semesters. Conclusion: The state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, underwent an exponential expansion of dental courses, especially in the form of private schools. The courses follow the national curricular guidelines (NCGs), and pediatric dentistry is a curricular discipline normally offered in the last semesters of the course. Considerable divergence, however, was found in the course load for pediatric dentistry. There is an evident need for the definition of theoretical content and minimum clinical training to enable students to develop skills for treating children
Effects of an Educational Comic Book on Knowledge Related to the Safe Use of Fluoride Toothpaste in Children
Get PDFObjective: To evaluate the effect of an educational comic book on indirectly supervised tooth brushing practices in early childhood education. Material and Methods: This is a quantitative action research aimed at evaluating the effect of a comic book on the necessary knowledge for indirectly supervised tooth brushing practices in early childhood education. Thirty-eight teachers from three daycare centers in the city of Porto Real, Brazil, participated in the year 2021, being carried out in three stages: 1: teachers answered a questionnaire for the identification of their sociodemographic and professional profile, in addition to prior knowledge about oral health. They also sent a photo of the toothbrush after applying the amount of toothpaste they used during the indirect supervised tooth brushing at the daycare center; 2: reception and 30 days to read the comic book; 3: answer to a new instrument on knowledge about oral health. Sending a new photo of the toothbrush with the toothpaste. Results: The amount of paste applied to toothbrushes decreased after reading the comic book from 58.1% to 27.8% of tufts, on average (p<0.05). Reading the comic allowed an increase in the frequency of respondents who acquired knowledge about the term “dental fluorosis” (p<0.05). Conclusion: Reading the comic book allowed a change in the knowledge required for the practice of indirect supervised tooth brushing
COVID-19 Pandemic Onset and its Impact on a Pediatric Dental Outpatient Clinic: A University-Based Study
Get PDFObjective: To evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on dental care provided at a university-based pediatric dental outpatient clinic. Material and Methods: This was an observational. The monthly numbers of dental procedures were obtained from clinical records. For comparison purposes, three intervals were set: pre-pandemic (March 2019 to February 2020), first year (March 2020 to February 2021), and second year (March 2021 to February 2022) after the COVID-19 pandemic onset (n = 12 in each). The significance level was set at 5%. Results: 1,813 patients were treated, and 6,457 dental procedures were performed. There was no productivity between April 2020 and February 2021. When comparing the pre-pandemic interval and the second year, it was observed that there was a lower monthly number of dental procedures, estimated at -71% (95%CI = -43%, -85%). This reduction was observed in preventive, restorative, endodontic, surgical, and orthodontic/orthopedic dental procedures. However, there was a reduction in the ratio between restorative and surgical (-41%, 95%CI = -4%, -65%) and preventive and surgical (-43%, 95%CI = -4%, -66%), as well as an increase in the ratio between surgical and endodontic (130%, 95%CI = 38%, 291%) dental procedures. Conclusion: The performance of dental procedures at this oral health service was significantly reduced after the COVID-19 pandemic onset
Interceptive and Orthopedic Orthodontic Treatments Performed in Pediatric Dentistry Practice and the Factors Associated with Treatment Patterns
Get PDFObjective: To investigate issues related to diagnosing malocclusions and patterns of interceptive and orthopedic treatments performed by Brazilian pediatric dentists. Material and Methods: Participants were recruited via electronic invitation using the snowball sampling recruitment strategy. A questionnaire designed specifically for the study was sent to participants. Results: 120 pediatric dentists, predominantly female (83.3%) with a mean age of 42.7 (±11.7) years, participated in the study. Thirty-two (26.7%) professionals had additional Orthodontics and Facial Orthopedics training. Of the professionals in activity, 68.1% (77/113) perform interceptive orthodontics, 53% (60/113) perform functional jaw orthopedics, and 36.3% (41/113) perform corrective orthodontics. On average, the frequency of monthly interceptive orthodontic consultations was less than 10 for 33.3% of pediatric dentists. Having training in Orthodontics influenced the indication of early orthodontic treatment for ectopic canines (p=0.02), ectopic molars (p=0.02), anterior crossbite (p=0.03) and regarding the ideal time for interception of Class II malocclusion (1st division), indicating the pubertal period (p=0.04). Overall, pediatric dentists with a postgraduate degree in Orthodontics performed more treatments with interceptive appliances (p<0.05). Conclusion: This study demonstrated different patterns in the diagnosis of malocclusions and in the interceptive orthodontic treatment when specialists in pediatric dentistry had additional training in Orthodontics
Uma Luz para o Ensino Médio: A inserção da Física Moderna
Get PDFNeste trabalho, é destacada a importância do ensino experimental para turmas do ensino médio, focando no processo ensino-aprendizagem de Física e suas contribuições para a compreensão do mundo em que vivemos. O estudo foi realizado com turmas do 3º ano da ECIT Dr. Dionísio da Costa, onde se observou um certo desinteresse dos alunos pela compreensão dos princípios da disciplina de Física. Para contornar esse desafio, apresentamos e discutimos em sala de aula experimentos relacionados à Eletricidade e à Física Moderna, com o objetivo de demonstrar que os conceitos básicos de Física estão presentes em nosso dia a dia, incentivando uma motivação mais profunda para o ensino superior. Além disso, promoveu-se uma oficina, permitindo que os alunos desenvolvessem experimentos com materiais de baixo custo, levando-os a um bom desempenho e excelente desenvolvimento científico

Ativismo judicial e a mutação constitucional: uma análise da atuação extensiva do Supremo Tribunal Federal
Get PDFO presente estudo analisa o ativismo judicial do Supremo Tribunal Federal e seus efeitos no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, especialmente quanto à segurança jurídica, harmonia entre Poderes e democracia. Atualmente, o STF assumiu prerrogativas legislativas à medida que passou a proferir decisões com caráter de lei sobre temas que deveriam ser de competência exclusiva das casas do Congresso. Como resultado, são promovidas mutações constitucionais, as quais carecem de requisitos subjetivos e formais para sua criação. Esta pesquisa questiona os limites dessa atuação, as consequências ao ordenamento jurídico, e os riscos ao equilíbrio entre os poderes e à democracia. Foi utilizado o método de abordagem dedutivo, pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva, e técnica de pesquisa essencialmente bibliográfica
