Chronic bilateral condylar dislocation - A case report
No full textdislocation is a complete separation of the articular surfaces with fixation in an abnormal position. in mandibular condylar dislocation, the normal anatomic relationship of the condyle with the glenoid fossa is completely disrupted. the dislocation of temporomandibular joint represents 3% of all the reported dislocated joints. acute dislocation of condyle is amenable to conservative approch. chronic dislocation of condyle is painful and distressing to pateint. the difficulty in reduction increases proportionately with time. a case of dislocation treated conservatively is reported here

It follows therefore, that nutrition might influence the occurrence and severity of degenerative disease that are associated with aging. Nutritional problems may result from changes associated with ageing process itself, from disease or other medical condition, from interactions with medications or from all of these. Reconstruction of the interdental papillae using an interdisciplinary approach following orthodontic treatment: A case report
No full textThe loss or absence of interdental papilla, aptly termed as “black triangles” are a clinician’s nightmare, as correction of lost papilla stands amongst the most challenging task among the various mucogingival surgical procedures. These black triangles are highly unacceptable to the patient as they pose both esthetic and phonetic problems. Various surgical and non surgical techniques were introduced with the sole intention of either reconstruction or regeneration of the lost papilla either by modifying the interproximal space or by surgical reconstruction of the lost soft tissues between the teeth. The present case report demonstrates papilla reconstruction in a 20-year-old female patient employing a multidisciplinary approach involving periodontal and endodontic treatments to enhance her esthetics.

Enamel Microabrasion for aesthetic management of superficial enamel defects.
No full textAims & Objectives: The aim of this article was to describe a simplified technique for managing small superficial enamel defects such as the ones present in medium to medium-severe fluorosis. Case description: This article presents a case in which the microabrasion technique was used to remove fluorosis staining. Esthetic alterations (such as fluorosis) that result from intrinsic dental staining in enamel and dentin can be controlled or softened by noninvasive methods such as dental bleaching or enamel microabrasion. Part of the enamel is removed during microabrasion; however, this wear is clinically insignificant and does not harm the dental structure.Conclusion:Based on the results of this case report, it can be concluded that this technique is efficient and can be considered a minimally invasive procedure
