MAINSTREAMING OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION IN INDONESIAN ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Islam actually exists as rahmatan lil 'alamin. Understanding of Islam has a balance of reasoning and realistic thinking, and refers to various sources that are comprehensive and consistent. Education is a means of human regeneration to deal with the development of an intellectual civilization that continues to be dynamic by promoting improvements for the good of human life itself. This article uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study data collection technique related to religious moderation in the realm of education. The data is analyzed inductively after first being categorized according to the need for data synchronization. The results of the study prove that mainstreaming religious moderation in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia is an urgency for a religious and state foundation in this republic. The Republic of Indonesia has a rich culture and various differences that must be preserved in a unified nation based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution which was declared by the founding fathers of this nation.Islam sejatinya hadir sebagai rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Pemahaman Islam memiliki keseimbangan nalar dan berpikir realistik, serta merujuk pada berbagai sumber yang komprehensif dan konsisten. Adapun pendidikan merupakan sarana regenerasi umat manusia untuk menghadapi perkembangan sebuah peradaban intelektual yang terus dinamis dengan mengedepankan perbaikan-perbaikan untuk kebaikan kehidupan manusia itu sendiri. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi literatur terkait moderasi beragama dalam ranah pendidikan. Data dianalisis secara induktif setelah terlebih dahulu dikategorisasikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan sinkronisasi data. Hasil kajian membuktikan bahwa pengarusutamaan moderasi beragama pada lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia menjadi urgensi untuk sebuah landasan beragama dan bernegara di republik ini. Negara Republik Indonesia memiliki kekayaan budaya dan aneka perbedaan yang mesti dilestarikan dalam satu kesatuan bangsa berlandaskan pancasila dan UUD 1945 yang telah dideklarasikan oleh para perintis bangsa ini
METHODOLOGY OF THE QUR'AN AND ITS TAFSIR BY THE MINISTRY OF RELIGION AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
This article explain about methodology of the Qur'an and its Interpretation creation Indonesian Ministry of Religion. Based on the statement that for some Indonesians understand the Qur’an in depth language original is something it doesn't easy. So in thing this The Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia presents a translation and interpretation in Indonesian. Method used in article this namely library research with analysis descriptive. Researcher find that method used in the book of the Qur'an and its commentary that is divide the verses in one sura be several groups of verses, determine the topic in each group of verses as the main theme, determine the sub-themes to break down the interpretation of a group of verses, namely translation, vocabulary, munasabah , asbÄb al-nuzÅ«l , interpretation, conclusion, and conclusion as well as outlining the interpretation of each of the sub-themes that have been prepared comprehensively. Method/source of interpretation used Interpretation of the Ministry of Religion namely method bi al-ma'ṡūr. The method of interpretation uses the taḥlÄ«lÄ« method. The style of interpretation is the hidÄ'Ä« style and the Ê»Ilmi style .

Dilatarbelakangi oleh pernyataan bahwa bagi sebagian orang Indonesia memahami al-Qur’an dalam bahasa aslinya merupakan sesuatu yang tidak mudah. Maka dalam hal ini Departemen Agama RI menghadirkan sebuah terjemahan dan penafsiran dalam bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini yaitu library research dengan analisi deskriptif. Peneliti menemukan bahwa metode yang digunakan dalam kitab al-Qur’an dan Tafsirnya yaitu membagi ayat-ayat dalam satu surah menjadi beberapa kelompok ayat, menentukan topik pada setiap kelompok ayat sebagai tema utama, menentukan sub-sub tema untuk mengurai penafsiran suatu kelompok ayat, yakni terjemah, kosakata, munasabah, asbÄb al-nuzÅ«l, tafsir, kesimpulan, dan penutup serta menguraikan penafsiran setiap sub-sub tema yang telah disusun secara komprehensif. Metode/sumber tafsir yang digunakan Tafsir Kemenag yaitu metode penafsiran bi al-ma’ṡūr (periwayatan). Metode Penafsirannya menggunakan metode taḥlÄ«lÄ«. Corak penafsirannya adalah corak hidÄ’ī dan corak Ê»Ilmi.

Keterlibatan Muslim dalam Politik Lokal di Negara-Negara Mayoritas Non-Muslim
The primary objective of this study is to get a comprehensive understanding of the socio-political status of Muslim individuals inside non-Muslim majority countries. Specifically, it wants to examine the various hurdles Muslims encounter in these contexts and the tactics they employ to navigate and surmount these obstacles. This research explores the surrounding community’s reactions and attitudes toward Muslims’ political engagements. The research method employed in this study is qualitative, utilizing a library research approach to gather data. The data is collected through an extensive review of pertinent literature. The study’s findings indicate that Muslims actively and strategically engage in local politics to achieve integration while preserving their religious identity. Despite encountering prejudice and discrimination, many individuals adhering to the Islamic faith have successfully surmounted these obstacles by establishing support networks and engaging in collaborative efforts with various groups. The responses of society towards Muslim engagement have exhibited a range of outcomes, with interfaith education and discussion emerging as useful strategies in fostering comprehension and acceptance. In conclusion, the active participation of Muslims in municipal politics holds the potential to engender constructive transformations and foster a culture characterized by inclusivity.Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai status sosial-politik Muslim di dalam negara-negara mayoritas non-Muslim. Penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Muslim dalam konteks ini dan strategi yang mereka gunakan untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berusaha mengeksplorasi respon masyarakat sekitar terhadap keterlibatan muslim dalam politik lokal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan untuk mengumpulkan data. Data dikumpulkan melalui tinjauan ekstensif terhadap literatur terkait. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa umat Islam secara aktif dan strategis terlibat dalam politik lokal untuk mencapai integrasi sambil mempertahankan identitas agama mereka. Meskipun menghadapi prasangka dan diskriminasi, banyak individu yang menganut agama Islam telah berhasil mengatasi hambatan ini dengan membangun jaringan dukungan dan terlibat dalam upaya kolaboratif dengan berbagai kelompok. Tanggapan masyarakat terhadap keterlibatan Muslim telah menunjukkan hasil yang beragam, dengan pendidikan dan diskusi lintas agama yang muncul sebagai strategi yang efektif dalam mempromosikan pemahaman dan toleransi. Kesimpulannya, keterlibatan muslim dalam politik lokal memiliki potensi untuk menghasilkan transformasi konstruktif dan menumbuhkan budaya inklusif
MATAN HADIS CRITICISM METHODOLOGY Comparative Analysis between Muhammad Syuhudi Ismail and Muḥammad Al-GazÄliy
Abstract. Tracing the history of hadith is a common thing to be studied and carried out by various academic circles. However, along with the dynamics, which are quite dynamic, there have been problems, including Islamic thought and even orientalist thinking to examine the hadith texts of the Prophet Muhammad, which is growing rapidly, especially in the study of hadith studies. There are two main aspects of the foundation in hadith research, namely, authentic and skeptical. The term becomes the result of the conclusion when the hadith has been carried out in terms of the quality of the sanad, matan, and rawi. However, understanding the hadith does not revolve around understanding the content and substance of the hadith. How Islamic thinkers try to reconstruct the methodology in understanding the criticism of hadith so that the hadiths achieved are accurate and maintain traditions from errors and falsehoods. This paper explores the ideas of Muhammad Syhudi and Muhammad al-Ghazaliy in theory development (Matan Hadith Criticism Methodology). FROM TERRORISTS TO PEACE WARRIORS: Mentoring Poso Islamic Jihadists Using The Heart, Hand, and Head Approach
This article is the result of the author’s qualitative research on the Poso terrorist prisoner community for six months in prison and one year outside of prison with Heart, Hand and Head approach. The objectives are: First, to change the mindset of the Poso jihadist community from terrorists to peace warriors. Second, to formulate the concept of terrorist mentoring with the Heart, Hand, and Head approach. The main questions of this research were focused on: 1). How were profile and the pattern of mentoring with the Heart, Hand and Head approach for the ex-jihadist Poso?, and 2). What activities did the former Poso jihadists do as Peace Warriors ?. To answer this problem, the methods used: 1). Phenomenological Descriptive, 2). Bloom’s Taxonomy and Social Pedagogic Learning Method; and 3). Mentoring Guide from the Center for Health Leadership & Practice Public Health Institute Oakland. Data collection techniques employed were observation, in-depth interview and documentation. The results show that 1). The profile of the ex-Poso jihadists are: the executor of the Tentena bombing, the mutilation of five Christian high school students, the shooting coordinator of Pastor Susianti. Then, The pattern of mentoring is divided into two parts: in prison, due to time constraints, it emphasizes the aspects of building trust and winning sympathy (Heart), outside of prison, the three approaches of Heart, Hand and Head are carried out in a holistic and integrative manner. 2). There are three activities carried out by former Poso jihadists as peace warriors: First, becoming a speaker for counter terrorism activities. Second, to be part of the deradicalization process of the East Indonesian Mujahidin group. Third, attracting ten former Poso terrorists to join the peace warriors.Artikel ini adalah hasil penelitian kualitatif penulis pada kelompok narapidana teroris Poso di penjara selama enam bulan dan satu tahun di luar penjara dengan menggunakan pendekatan Heart, Hand dan Head. Tujuannya adalah: Pertama, untuk merubah maindseat kelompok jihadis Poso dari teroris menjadi pejuang perdamaian. Kedua, untuk memformulasikan konsep pendampingan teroris dengan menggunakan pendekatan Heart, Hand dan Head. Masalah utama penelitian ini adalah: 1). Bagaimana profil dan pola pendampingan mantan jihadis Poso dengan pendekatan Heart, Hand dan Head?, dan 2).Aktivitas apa saja yang dilakukan eks kelompok jihadis Poso sebagai pejuang perdamaian?. . Untuk menjawab masalah ini, metode yang digunakan: 1). Phenomenological Descriptive, 2). Bloom’s Taxonomy and Social Pedagogic Learning Method; and 3). Adapun pola pendampingan dibagi menjadi dua bagian: di Penjara, karena terbatasnya waktu, penekanannya lebih ke aspek membangun kepercayaan dan memenangkan simpati (Heart), sedang di luar penjara, pendekatan Heart, Hand, dan Head dikerjakan secara integrative dan holistic. 2). Ada tiga aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh eks jihadis Poso sebagai pejuang perdamaian: Pertama, menjadi narasumber pada kegiatan counter terrorism. Kedua, menjadi bagian dari proses deradikalisasi kelompok mujahidin Indonesia Timur. Ketiga, mengajak atau menarik sepuluh eks jihadis Poso untuk bergabung dan menjadi pejuang perdamaia
ISLAMIC COMMUNITIES DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IN UMAR BIN KHATAB ERA
Umar bin Khatabis well-known as a leader with great attention to develop Muslim society welfare in term of social and economic. Musli community in his leadership era enjoyed high properity due to Umar bin Khatab economic policy. However, limited is known how Umar bin Khatab managed Muslim society welfare during his leadership period. This study, therefore,discusses the Islamic community development approach during the time of Umar bin Khatthabra. Is the result of library research from various sources. The study uses a professional approach that refers to efforts to increase independence and improve the service system within the framework of social relations. Furthermore, the radical approach refers to efforts to change the imbalance of social relations through empowering weak groups. Umar has implemented various policies related to the empowerment of the Islamic community during umar’s leadership. In addition to fiscal policy as well as economic empowerment in the form of providing pension benefits and social security, Umar also provided opportunities for Muslims to utilize zakat money and spoils of war in a distribution according to Islamic law. CONSEQUENCES OF TRANSFERRING ZAKAT COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION FROM THE RULER TO THE INDIVIDUAL
This research aims to analyze the effect of shifting the role of collecting and channeling Zakat from the authority to the individual by a full scale and to study the methods of said shifting based on Quran and Sunnah. The researcher conducted an inductive approach in tracing his findings from the Qur’an, Sunnah, and sources that directly relate to this research, in addition to literature reviews. This research contains three chapters. The first chapter discusses Zakat’s derivation in Arabic and the Syariah term. The second chapter is about the main weakness in Zakat’s application. While in chapter three, the researcher concluded this research by showing the effect of Zakat’s shifting in collecting and channeling. The researcher had come to several conclusions, the most prominent is collecting and channeling Zakat are authority’s role, not individual. The researcher recommended studying Zakat’s purpose because Zakat’s application purposes in Syariah will be clear by studying it.Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui akibat dari pengalihan pengumpulan dan penyaluran zakat dari penguasa kepada individu secara utuh, untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengalihan pengumpulan dan penyaluran zakat dari penguasa kepada individu ditinjau dari Al-Qur'an dan Sunnah. Di dalamnya, peneliti melakukan pendekatan induktif dalam menelusuri apa yang mereka temukan dari Al-Qur’an, Sunnah dan sumber-sumber yang memiliki hubungan langsung dengan penelitian ini, di samping penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian ini berisi tiga bagian; Topik pertama adalah tentang derivasi kata zakat dalam bahasa dan syariah, dan topik kedua adalah kelemahan utama dalam penerapan zakat. Peneliti menyimpulkan penelitian ini dengan topik ketiga, menunjukkan konsekuensi dari konversi ini. Para peneliti mencapai beberapa hasil, yang paling menonjol adalah: Zakat dalam mengumpulkan dan mendistribusikannya adalah peran penguasa dan tidak ada hubungannya dengan individu. Peneliti merekomendasikan bahwa tujuan zakat dalam Syariah perlu dipelajari; karena akan menunjukkan tujuan penerapan zakat dalam hukum Islam, dan tujuan-tujuan ini untuk memberikan kemajuan masyarakat dan negara, serta pelestarian kemakmuran, stabilitas dan pembangunan
INCREASING MOTIVATION TO LEARN ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION POST-EARTHQUAKE THROUGH REWARDS AND PUNISHMENTS
The results of this study show that there are many ways that teachers can motivate students to learn at SMK Negeri 1 Palu after the earthquake, among others, by using various methods and activities. Because when the teacher uses the same method continuously it can cause boredom and reduce the enthusiasm for learning of students. Furthermore, the teacher can also increase the learning motivation of students by making students active. After the earthquake the teacher gave more prizes to students who had high scores in Islamic Religious Education subjects such as tuition free scholarships for 6 months and usually the teacher gave praise that made students more motivated in learning. After the earthquake, students who violate the subject of Islamic religious education will be given educational punishments, namely two different punishments depending on the size or size of the mistakes made by students. The background of the formation of rewards and punishments at SMK Negeri 1 Palu is the desire to reward students who are active / accomplished and if they provide sanctions / penalties based on objective data
DIALOGUE OF RELIGION AND COUNTRY Actualization of Hadratussyaikh KH. Hasyim Asy'ari's Progressive Thoughts and Its Implications in The Life of The Nation and State
Abstract. This article discusses the dialogue between religion and the state in the perspective of Hadratussyaikh KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. The purpose of this article is to answer how is the relationship between religion and the state?, how is the relationship between Islam and Pancasila? and how is the relation between religion and religion according to Hadratussyaikh KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. This article uses a qualitative methodology whose primary data is more specifically obtained from the works of Hadratussyaikh, while the secondary data is in the form of journals, books, field notes or others that are still related to the research theme. The data collection uses documentation techniques, namely by examining the thoughts/ideas of Hadratussyaikh in several of his works. While the data analysis used descriptive analysis. Based on the observations of researchers, the relationship between religion and the state according to Hadratussyaikh is grouped into three things, namely; First, the relationship between religion and the state is divided into three, namely integralistic, secularistic and symbiotic. Second, the relationship between Pancasila and Islam is very closely related, especially when viewed from the first precept which contains the meaning of monotheism or monotoism. Third, the existence of religion in a community functions as a protector, protector and helper for the benefit of the ummah. Seeing this typology, the role of religion and the state is symbiotic. Hadratussyaikh did not mention in a sharih manner the state system must be Islamic or other systems, but he strongly emphasized the existence of an Islamic spirit which was implemented in the form of principles or ethics in life (social-politics)
DECOLONIZATION AND STRENGTHENING OF WAHDAH ISLAMIYAH ORGANIZATION
This paper seeks to review the anthropology typical of Islam by reviewing the role of the text and its interlation with religious practices in islam before, this paper will focus on the exploration of authority that is fought by the text in guiding the facts of life of the Muslim community. One of the growing phenomena in society is the use of veils. The legal status of the veil for some scholars still leaves the debate. The debate lies in the point of view in understanding and applying the text messages of the Qur'an and hadiths about the veil. The phenomenon of applying veils in the community will then be the focus of this article. The object of the study is to try to present views and applications about the veil in the Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar community. This is because the Wahdah Islamiyah community is one of the communities known and impressed loudly proclaiming the slogan' back to the Qur'an and sunnah in the city of Makassar.Tulisan ini berusaha mengulas antropologi yang khas bagi Islam dengan cara mengulas peran teks dan interelasinya dengan praktik keagamaan di dalam Islam sebelumnya, tulisan ini akan memfokuskan pada eksplorasi otoritas yang diperangi oleh teks dalam membimbing fakta kehidupan komunitas muslim. Salah satu fenomena yang berkembang dimasyarakat adalah penggunaan cadar. Status hukum bercadar bagi sebagian ulama masih menyisakan perdebatan. Perdebatan tersebut terletak pada sudut pandang dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan pesan teks-teks al-Qur’an dan hadis tentang cadar. Fenomena pengaplikasian cadar di masyarakat tersebut yang kemudian akan menjadi fokus artikel ini. Objek kajiannya yaitu mencoba memaparkan pandangan dan aplikasi tentang cadar dalam komunitas Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. Hal ini dikarenakan komunitas Wahdah Islamiyah merupakan salah satu komunitas yang dikenal dan terkesan keras mengumandangkan slogan‚ kembali ke al-Qur’an dan sunnah di kota Makassar
