Muslims believe that it is because of the prophet Muhammad’s ethics that Islam can be voluntarily accepted by people. Full text linkThe advent of Islam in the archipelago in the 7th century has given a positive impact on the development of many fields of life. One of them is the development of Malaya literature in this area. Ar-Raniri, a great ulama of Aceh sultanate, serves as one of Muslim poets who, in 1638 B.C., wrote not only works on Islam but also on a work of Malaya literature, that is Bustan al-Salatin (Garden of Kings). This work was written by him because of Sultan Iskandar Sani’s order. Another work of Malaya literature can be mentioned here is Taj al-Salatin (Crown of Kings) written by Bukhari al-Jauhari in 1603 B.C. AHMAD BIN HANBAL (PEMIKIRAN FIKIH DAN USHUL FIKIHNYA)
Full text linkAhmad bin Hanbal is popular not only as a faqih but also as a muhaddith. His authority on istimbath can be seen from his method of istimbath. He places the Qur’an and hadith as the main sources of law in his istimbath. In addition, he employs companions’ fatwa agreed upon by them. The reason for this is that companions are undoubtedly credible persons. Other sources of law he uses in his istimbath are hadith mursal and hadith dha’if, that is hadith of no tsiqah in some of its narrators. He also employs such methods of istimbath as qiyas, ijma’, al-mashalih al-mursalah, istihsan, sad al-zari’ah, and istihsab.Kata kunci : Ahmad bin Hanbal, fikih, ushul fiki

TAFSIR BI AL-RA’YI SEBAGAI SALAH SATU BENTUK PENAFSIRAN ALQURAN
Full text linkTafsir bi al-Ra’yi is one of methods employed by ulama in interpreting the Holy Qur’an. The reason for interpreting the Holy Qur’an using reasoning is that there are many ayahs (verses of the Qur’an) encourage us to think . However, some of ulama  prohibit the use of reason in interpreting the Qur’an because some of their interpretations are not compatible with the true massage of the Holy Qur’an. According to him, the Quran can be made as paradigm which is called Islamic paradigm. ISNAD DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP STATUS HADIS
Full text linkThis paper deals with the system of isnad (the uninterrupted chain of authorities on which a hadith or tradition is based) and its influence to the status of the hadith. In the science of hadith, this issue is highly necessary since the quality and validity of the hadith can be recognized by the connectedness and continuation of its transmitters (rawi), in addition to the good quality of its transmitter in terms of conduct, honesty, memory, etc. Because of the influence of the system of isnad, various terms of the hadith emerge, such as muttashil, musnad, mursal, munqathi', mu'addhal, mu'allaq, and so on. Moreover, isnad also plays a role in strengthening a hadith, which is weak from other chain, but supported by another hadith, which is strong in terms of its transmitters. In the science of fiqh, the differences in the quality of hadith in turn contribute to the difference of opinions in Islamic law.Kata kunci: Status hadis, sanad, hadis mursal

Full text linkIn Islam, brotherhood plays a great role. Even, Islam orders its adherents to build up brotherhood. Therefore, Islam orders its adherents to avoid conflict among them. If two groups of Muslim fight each other, Islam orders the other group of Muslim to be mediator of the two disputing groups. It is the concept of Islam for building up harmonious life among people that can lead to the intended civil society.Â
