BEBERAPA KAIDAH PENAFSIRAN ALQURAN
The Qur’an is the holy book revealed by God to mankind. However, not all verses of the Qur’an are clear in meaning to mankind. Therefore, to understand the contents of the Qur’an, one needs the science of exegesis. In interpreting the verses of the Qura’n, the Quranic interpreters adopt three general approaches such as language approach, ushul approach and logic approach. UPAYA PENINGKATAN MUTU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH (SUATU KAJIAN TEORITIS-EMPIRIS)
Religious education plays a remarkable role for developing humans’ morality. Therefore, in the National Development  of Indonesia, religious education posses a chief position. This important position is implemented in schools throughout Indonesia, from elementary level to university level , both schools based on religious teaching and those based on secular one. For instance, at the elementary religious school, religious education has become one of nationally-tested subject. However, Islamic education at this level of education is considered to be abortive since pupils of this school are still unable to practice their religious teaching in their daily life. Based on this, efforts to enhance the quality of religious education at this basic level of education must be made. BERPIKIR DALAM PERSPEKTIF ALQURAN
This article deals with التÙكر in the Qur’an employing the thematic method of qur’anic exegesis. Observing the verses used the Qur’an, the writer found some words in the Qur’an denoting both negative and positive thinking. To denote the negative thinking, the word تتÙكرون is used; to denote the things related to the prohibition of drinking liquor and of gambling; the word تعقلون is used; to denote the order to do good things; the word نظر is used; to denote al-Walid al-Mughirah’s negation to the Qur’an; to denote the unbelievers’ accuses of the prophet Muhammad, the word اØÙ„ام is used. In the mean time, to denote the positive thinking, the Qur’an adopts the word يتÙكرون that is something related to the creature of the universe and of the natural phenomena; the word ينظر is used to denote the origin of human beings; the word اولو الالباب is used to denote agreement and negation to truth of the Qur’an. Kata Kunci: tafsir, berpikir, Alqura
TANTANGAN MUSLIMAH DI ERA GLOBALISASI
Today, Moslem women and men have the same opportunity in education and job. This opportunity puts Moslem women in a dilemmatic position in term of performance. On one hand, they have to obey Islamic rules and culture. On the other hand, they have to follow culture development in term of physical performance and relationship with men. KONSEP EVALUASI PENDIDIKAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF ALQURAN
This article deals with the concept of education evaluation from the Qur’anic perspective. Evaluation is a popular term much used in education to know a student’s performance in education. In this context, in the Qur’an, we also find some terms that have similar meaning with evaluation. For example, al-inba’, al-hisab, al-bala, al-nadzar, al-wazn, al-fitnah al-taqdir . These terms are used by the Qur’an to evaluate God’s servants, either those who believe or disbelieve in God. To know further, how and in which context the Qur’an uses those terms, the usages of the terms are elaborated in this article.Kata Kunci: evaluasi pendidikan, Alquran, al-fitnah, al-hisab, al-wazn, al-taqdi
PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM PERSPEKTIF SOSIO-KULTURAL
Sociologically, Islamic education and society are closely related. It can be seen from the role of Islamic education in responding to social phenomena and the development of modern teachnology. Based on this, cultrully, life-long education must be developed to realize the needs of scioety in Islamic education. In other words, Islamic education must give a constribution to the life of society since the floursih or the decline of society highly depends on the quality of Islamic education promoted. SISTEM BUNGA DALAM BISNIS MODEREN (SUATU ANALISIS BERDASARKAN HUKUM ISLAM)
The urgency of business cannot be neglected. Business always performs a vital role in a social life and of economy of mankind. Nonetheless, in Islamic perspective, a business is not for a mere business. In other words, a business must be managed under the system of rahmatun lil ‘alamin (blessing for all mankind). This article deals with one of the important pillars in modern business, that is interest system, especially  bank interest system, which will be analyzed based on the Islamic law. After analyzing the subject using the Qur’an and the prophet’s traditions as well as Islamic legal maxims, the writer finds a variety of arguments put forward by the Islamic law experts in drawing a conclusion on the permission and  the banning of bank interest. Apart from this controversy, in the writer’s point of view, fund and the empowerment of umat economy must be institutionally supported.Kata Kunci:  sistem bunga bank, riba, business modern, hukum Isla
PERSPEKTIF FILSAFAT PENDIDIKAN ISLAM TENTANG ALAM DAN LINGKUNGAN
Islam is not a religion for mere ritual activities. It is a total system of life. Therefore, Islam orders all people to maintain the equilibrium of ecology; otherwise, they will risk in exploiting it. Based on this, to avoid people from destroying ecology, they have to be educated. In other words, Islamic education must be implemented based on the actual problems of people, including the ecological problem. KAEDAH BACAAN RIWAYAT WARSY
According to historical record, qira'ah al-Qur'an, had existed since the revelation of the Qur'an. Nevertheless, not until the early second century of Hijriyah did its distribution to various other parts of the Islamic world begin. The qira'ath was taught  from generation to generation till the epoch of Imam of qir’ah. Majma'ul Buhus (Research Institute) of Al-Azhar, Cairo, in its congress dated 20-27th  April, 1971, had decided that qira'ah al-Qur'an was tauqifiy (Devine ordain) deriving from ruwat al-mutawatirah. For this reason, the congress recommended that the Islamic states not recite the Qur'an using one kind of qira’ah only, that is riwayat hafsh version. CAPITALISM AND MODERN LEGAL SYSTEM (A CHANCE FOR ISLAMIC LAW)
Tulisan ini menyoroti problematika yang melanda dunia hukum sekarang. Mengapa hukum modern gagal menciptakan keadilan sejati (substantial justice)? Selain itu, tulisan ini juga mencoba menelusuri mengapa sistem hukum modern yang berlaku saat ini, termasuk di Indonesia, sangat mudah ditegakkan terhadap kaum yang lemah, akan tetapi tidak berdaya memberangus kelompok elit, utamanya mereka yang memiliki modal yang besar. Bagaimana sesungguhnya kawah candradimuka alias setting medan sosial yang mewadahi lahirnya sistem hukum modern? Pada bagian akhir, penulis mengungkapkan ke arah mana trend studi hukum berkiblat sekarang sehubungan dengan telah gagalnya sistem hukum modern mengatasi problematika dunia saat ini dan bagaimana posisi (studi) hukum Islam dalam arus (studi hukum) tersebut. Keywords: Law, modern legal system, capitalism, Islamic law
