    This paper deals with the I’jaz Alquran according to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. It is concluded that Khan toughly emphasized his interpretation concept on rationalism. Khan also applied it for Quranic studies, such as emphasizing on rational and scientific facts that negate several metaphysical and invisible issues contained in Qur’an. Following his view on the prophets’ miracle which is irrational and unacceptable for human mind. Again, the concept of I’jaz Alquran is also one of Khan’s thought on rationality, though he acknowledged the great literary contents of Quran, as well he uncategorized it as a miracle. He then said that God’s challenge human to afford the similar verses to Qur’an is unclassified among I’jaz Qur’an, since God did the similar thing to the book of Torah as well. Unlike the opinion of majority Tafseer scholars, among the Salaf and Khalaf, they viewed that God’s challenge and the Quran high literature are evidence of I’jaz Quran

    This paper discusses the reform of Islamic law in the Islamic Law Compilation. The main sources of Islamic law are the Qur'an and Sunnah shall be applied to the human race. Therefore, Islamic law must be able to respond to development and change that occur in people's lives. Reform of Islamic law as the search for relevance to the development of contemporary Islamic law is not a stand-alone effort, but is influenced by internal factors and external factors. One Islamic law in Indonesia in the form of the regulation that has become positive law is Islamic Law Compilation. Several articles in the Islamic Law Compilation is a form of Islamic law reform. Whether it relates to marriage or about donation such grants could be a legacy. There are many other clauses which are part of the reform of Islamic law in the Islamic law compilation

    Discussing the controversy of contemporary Islamic law on abortion, especially under four months of pregnancy, it is always interesting to be discussed. Especially if it is associated with the medical science, the law enforcement and human rights. The law seems to be difficult to touch this matter, then it is compounded with suspected of hiding the practice of abortion in the name of health care. Regardless of the question of whether abortion do so on the basis of health considerations alone or indeed do so on the basis of other reasons, but nonetheless deaths from abortion is very worrying. Abortion was close relation to human rights on the one hand because every woman is entitled to her live a healthy reproductive life, but on the other side of the fetus in the mother's womb are also entitled to live and thrive.     The Holy Quran was revealed to the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) by Allah Almighty as a final revelation for the whole of mankind. After the time of the Prophet Mohammed, his fellow scholars began writing commentaries on the holy Quran to understand its meaning and its context. The Mufassireen have concluded that the Quran has two types of verses; Muhkam are verses which are clear and have no dispute as to what they actually mean. Mutashabih are verses which have two or more than two options for the readers to infer their meaning and such verses have been open to debate amongst the Islamic scholars. This paper attempts to provide the correct definitions of Muhkam and Mutashabih verses based on the opinions of the classical and modern scholars. Based on the views of the modern and classical scholars, the researcher discusses the different varieties of these two types of verses and removes any objections and contradictions between the two attempting to clear up any such misconceptions. The philosophical reasoning behind the revelation of Mukham and Mutashabih verses is also tackled within this paper to ensure all areas and opinions are covered, giving an unbiased understanding of the subjec

    This article discusses about adultery in Islamic law perspective and the book of law and criminal. By using the comparative analysis method found a difference between Islamic law and the book of law and criminal in terms define adultery as well as legal consequences. Sexual relations between young couples are not categorized as adultery in the book of law and criminal because they are not in a valid marriage bond. The book of law and criminal also does not ensnare adultery to Article 27 BW even though they are in a valid marriage bond. In addition, if the husband or wife of adultery gives permission to the partner to commit adultery, then Article 284 cannot ensnare them. The approach used is content analysis to examine the works Abdurahman Wahid, and the historical approach to study his biography.     This article is the result of research on the use of the Internet as a medium of learning in students of IAIN Palu. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. The results show: first, use of the Internet as a medium of learning in Palu IAIN can be mapped into three categories, namely: the use of web searching facility, the use of e-mail facilities, and the use of e-learning facilities. Secondly, in terms of infrastructure, hardware to support internet-based learning is sufficient, but the amount of bandwidth is still very far from the standard requirements. Meanwhile, in terms of human resources, still need to increase their knowledge and skills in the field of IT for teachers and students to be able to implement an optimal internet-based learning. Third, Palu IAIN students responded very positively to the use of the Internet as a medium of learning
