【Original Article】Heatstroke Recognition and Experience among Construction Site Workers
Get PDF本研究では、大規模建築現場作業員の熱中症認識と経験の関連を検討した。熱中症様症状の経験がある群では、症状に対する認識率が高い傾向にあり、特に重症度ⅠとⅡの経験者で顕著だった。しかし、重症度Ⅲの経験の有無による認識率の差は見られなかった。年齢層別には、20 歳台、40 歳台、60 歳台で熱中症様症状が高率に見られた。これらの知見から、重症熱中症については教育効果が得られる一方で、軽症から中等症の熱中症については教育効果が限定的であり、自身の経験からの学習が多いと考えられる。すなわち、個人の健康管理や職場レベルでの環境・作業管理の重要性などの発症予防体制のみならず、熱中症を発症した後の事後体制強化が重要であると考えられる。This study investigated the relationship between heatstroke awareness and experience among workers at large construction sites. Groups with prior heatstroke-like symptom experience, particularly those at severity levels I and II, showed higher symptom recognition rates. However, no discrepancy in recognition rate was noted for severity level III experiences. By age group, higher rates of heat stroke-like symptoms were observed in the 20s, 40s and 60s. These findings suggest that while education is effective for severe heat stroke, its impact on mild to moderate heat stroke is limited, and much is learned from personal experience. Therefore, it is crucial to establish prevention measures, such as individual health management and workplace environmental control, including strengthening post- heatstroke support system.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFIn 2021, the Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institut Supérieur des Technologies Médicales de Tunis, Université de Tunis El Manar in the Republic of Tunisia for the education and training of clinical engineers. In 2023, three faculty members from the Department of Clinical Engineering of the Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences, including the author, visited the Institut Supérieur des Technologies Médicales de Tunis from September 16 to 24, 2023, for a second visit following the previous year. We report on this year’s visit with the hope that the mutual exchange between the two universities and countries will become more dynamic and active in the future.departmental bulletin pape
English Education at Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences: The History of Fifteen Years, 2007-2022
Get PDF森ノ宮医療大学が 2022 年 4 月で創立 15 周年を迎えると同時に、本学の英語教育も今年で開始から 丸 15 年という節目を迎えた。開学当初と比べると、英語教育や関連する活動は徐々に変化し、また発 展してきた。現在では、正規授業に加え、課外講座の開講や海外研修の実施などの活動も行うようになっ た。本報告では、まず本学の英語のカリキュラムについて、二つ目に授業での取り組みについて、三つ 目にクラス編成のためのプレースメントテストの実施とこれまでの成績の変遷について、四つ目に課外 授業や活動について紹介し、最後に今後の課題と展望について述べる。Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences commemorates its fifteenth anniversary in April 2022. It also means that we have practiced the English education at the university for fifteen years so far. There have been some changes in our English education program since the first year of the university, such as curriculum changes and introduction of new activities. In addition to the regular classes, we now offer extracurricular classes and activities including overseas study trips.
Looking back on the history of fifteen years of our English education program, this report first describes the English curriculum of the university. Second, the practices and activities in the English classes are introduced. Third, the results of the placement tests we have conducted since the first year and, fourth, the extra-curricular activities are presented. Lastly, this report refers to some challenges we are facing and presents prospects for the future with respect to our English education.departmental bulletin pape
