This study examines how working mothers negotiate her gender role and strategize in facing the condition when domestic and public sphere exist in one space called home after the outbreak COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The research questions are ” how far does working from home give an impact in changing patriarchal gender relation and distribution of work division at home?”, and “to what extends women modify their home functions in coping with COVID-19 pandemic condition and in minimizing patriarchal authority at their own home?” The research uses qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews and questioner filling, and focuses on samples of 30 middle class working women, living in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) area. This study argues that as the impact of Covid pandemic condition, the middle class working mothers, who have been “forced to go back” to their homes, seemingly, use their homes as “struggling places” to renegotiate the old patriarchal role divisions and unequal gender/power relations. Moreover, it is argued that their homes, to some extends, are used as learning sites for gender equality values, and modified to fulfill their extended functions: as domestic, work, and social spheres

This article will explain Australia's attitudes and views on the East Timor issue which caused conflict with Indonesia. But on the other hand, Australia cannot ignore Indonesia's interests in East Timor. In 1978, Australia recognized East Timor "de facto" as part of Indonesia. Then, the question arises why Australia supports the integration of East Timor with Indonesia. What are the underlying interests. The Timor Gap Treaty was ratified on 11 December 1989, strengthening Indonesia's position with Australia. Indonesia is considered more accommodating when compared to Portugal in the matter of maritime boundaries in the Timor Sea region. Indonesia is the most important neighbor country for Australia. In terms of Australian defense, the Indonesian archipelago is a stronghold in northern Australia. This is based on Australia's interest in regional security free from the intervention of other hostile countries. Therefore, the importance of efforts to create government stability in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the dynamics of Australian foreign policy as seen from the Australian security and defense framework in looking at the East Timor issue. In addition, this research will discuss the Opposition to the Balibo Declaration and the Indonesian military intervention in East Timor which invites Australia's ambiguous attitude in addressing the integration of East Timor with Indonesia. Even though it was always at odds with Indonesia, Australia continued to prioritize its national interests in dealing with Indonesia

Nowadays, the soccer world has been developing rapidly, particularly in Europe. In one of its countries, England, there are two notable soccer clubs that are worth discussing. They are Liverpool Football Club and Manchester United Football Club. These clubs have a considerable number of fans among all around the world. Also, they have anthems that are often sung by the fans. Their anthems are “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Glory Glory Man United.” These anthems are important because they give impacts both on the teams and on the fans. This study specifically discusses the underlying meanings within both anthems. They are revealed through the words, phrases, and sentences in the lyrics of the anthems. To do so, library research method is used. Interestingly, this study has found that associative meaning and figurative language are used frequently by songwriters to aestheticize words, phrases, and sentences used to express their aims. Therefore, it can be inferred that anthems are not only used for showing the identity of a soccer club, but also for giving support towards the home teams, yet become pressure towards the opposition teams at the same time

The values of good and evil in the tales recounted by the Brothers Grimm are so universal that they have become an integral part of world literature. The research data for this paper was compiled from three tales, Aschenputtel (Cinderella), Rapunzel, and Schneewittchen (Snow White). This research project analyzed the language used in the stories to assess the values of virtue and evil that prevailed in reality in German society at the time the stories were compiled, and that are still valid today. This paper intends to describe the 19th century German concepts of good and bad, the pan-German values embedded in the folktales, and their universal moral appeal to diverse cultures of global human civilization. Qualitative literature study and descriptive data analysis are the methods employed in this investigation. The results indicate that the concept of virtue refers to beauty and generosity, but being good causes the protagonists to suffer. On the other hand, the concept of evil, as described in the three Grimm brothers stories that have been analyzed, refers to heartlessness and wickedness. The antagonists keep endangering the protagonists but eventually, the good characters live happily ever after. The conflict between good and evil is presented through the daily activities of human life that apply to people of varied cultural backgrounds

Cases of insulting the national emblem are increasing and attracting attention. A number of cases of allegations of insulting the national emblem have brought up a number of names, from celebrities, religious and community leaders, teenagers and students, to organizations. Two cases that were busy were allegations of insulting the national emblem by Zaskia Gotik and Habib Rizieq, which appeared at a similar period. Various studies regarding the alleged humiliation of the state symbol by Zaskia Gotik and Habib Rizieq have been widely studied. However, most of the studies focused on linguistic and communication perspectives. Unlike previous studies, this paper intends to examine the aspects of criminal law enforcement in both cases. To answer the research problems raised, the author uses important concepts in punishment and also the theory of legal certainty. This study is a normative juridical study with secondary data as material for analysis. This research reveals that law enforcement in cases of alleged insulting the state symbol by Zaskia Gotik and Habib Rizieq provides legal certainty because of the existence of corridors or guidelines in declaring the act guilty or not legally. The corridor refers to Law no. 24 of 2009 which regulates the symbols of the state, one of which is the symbol of the state, both regarding the meaning, prohibition, and threat.KEYWORDS: State Symbol, Actus reus, Mens Rea, Criminal Act, Punishment, Legal Certainty, Law Enforcemen
