However, only a few articles have been published in journals indexed by Scopus. Concerning Scopus as an accredited journal indexer recognized internationally, this paper's objective was to perform a systematic review of existing literature using the Scopus database from 2019 to 2023 to analyze the significance of education in strengthening religious moderation in Indonesia. The main steps are planning, conducting, and reporting the review. It includes 14 selected articles categorized based on five elements of educational systems: teachers, students, educational objectives, learning management, and educational environments. According to the systematic literature review, education has strengthened religious moderation in Indonesia. It is supported by sufficient teachers' capabilities in teaching religious moderation, students' role as the agents of religious moderation, educational objectives that accommodate religious moderation values, learning managements that use various learning methods and resources, higher thinking order skills, interreligious dialogue, and strategic partnership, and educational environments that provide sufficient learning systems, such as integrating Madrasah Diniyah and Pesantren Universities. However, the implementation still faces challenges requiring more attention from various parties

The community highly trusts Islamic boarding schools as religious, educational institutions in religious formation. Many Islamic boarding schools are participating in the Hajj and Umrah guidance business by establishing the Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU). This article aims to analyze the dynamics of Islamic boarding school-based KBIHU in guiding the Hajj and Umrah in Bogor Regency and Jember Regency. This article uses an ethnographic approach with data collection techniques through interviews and observations conducted at KBIHU in Bogor and Jember. The results of this study show that the presence of KBIHU helps the government's duties and functions in carrying out guidance to Hajj pilgrims as regulated in the Decree of the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organization (Dirjen PHU) Number 59 of 2019 concerning Operational Guidelines for Guidance Groups. The existence of Islamic boarding school-based KBIHU generally depends on the quality of human resources in management and supervisors. Kiai, as Islamic boarding school caregivers, have qualified knowledge but still need to be competent in guidance and have certificates. They must be more competent in secretarial procedures, guidance agreement documents, participant data, and guidance plans. The supervisory agencies for KBIHU, such as the Directorate General of PHU, the PHU Division of the Regional Office, and the PHU Section of the Ministry of Religion, have not fully implemented the Decree of the Director General of PHU 59 of 2019 in terms of guidance, supervision, control and reporting by the provisions of this decision. In carrying out accreditation, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion must involve professional institutions to guide KBIHU in reporting, documents and all its obligations. KBIHU reporting and documents must be done digitally using the PUSAKA Application as the Ministry of Religion's Super Apps. Increasing the capacity of KBIHU based on Islamic boarding schools can contribute to the development of foundations/Islamic boarding schools and provide knowledge to the community

    No full text
This research analyzes the phenomenon of changes in the isnad system in learning on the Qur’an on the Qara'a mobile application. This mobile application provides Al-Qur'an learning services that are supported by machine learning and artificial intelligence to correct the user's reciting of the Qur'an so that they have a "teacher" studying the Qur'an anywhere and anytime. The question then is, why has there been a change in the isnad system in transmitting scientific reciting of the Qur'an to the Qara'a mobile application, and what are the implications caused by this? In explaining the things that have been mentioned, this research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-critical analysis model; this method necessitates a pattern of depiction that does not merely present data objectively but also explains the implications of findings from related data. This research shows that changes in the isnad system in transmitting scientific reciting of the Qur'an are inevitably caused by mediamorphosis with the development of information and communication technology. In this context, this change occurs because of four main things, namely industry needs, demands for other technological needs, supporting legal actions and regulations, and societal pressure. The implications of this change occur in the process of mediamorphosis of the transmission media of reciting Al-Qur'an scholarship or even all of the transmission media of Islamic scholarship and the emergence of machine learning and artificial intelligence as new religious authorities

This article discusses Christian love and the essence of Pancasila values according to Driyarkara. This secondary research (desk research) uses a qualitative approach with Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic analysis method. This research critically examines Driyarkara's writings regarding the Pancasila and the Christian Religion. Driyarkara reflected deeply on the essence of the Pancasila as being love for God. Driyarkara's findings regarding love as the essence of the Pancasila will be used as a starting point to explain the relationship between the Pancasila and Christian love. The synthesis of the dialogue between the two becomes the basis for explaining how to become a Pancasila Christian. This article finds several things. First, the point of convergence between Pancasila and Christian love lies in love itself. In the light of the church's faith, Christian love which comes from Christ is the soul, while love as the essence of the Pancasila is its embodiment in the life of the nation and state. Second, the implementation of the Pancasila by Christians is a manifestation of their duty to take part in Christ's mission in the world, namely to proclaim the Kingdom of God which is nothing other than the complete welfare of humans. The research concludes that for a Christian there is no other way to become a Pancasilaist than by truly being a Christian who fundamentally implements Christ's love for others

The problem of the identity of educational institutions is a matter of awareness, attitudes, and actions. Institutions with a clear identity also produce clearer educational processes, ecosystem and relations between educational institutions. The problem is that Islamic educational institutions are often seen as monolithic and stigmatized as second-class educational institutions. For this reason, this article focuses on constructing the identity of SDIT Al-Hidayah and SDIT Al-Wathaniyah in Sumenep, Madura. To answer the focus of this article, a qualitative approach was used by choosing the type of case study based on a multi-site design. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using an interactive analysis model, which included data collection, condensation, data display, and conclusions. Credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests were conducted to determine the validity of the data. The results of this study indicate that, in general, the construction of the identity of Integrated Islamic Primary Schools in Sumenep consists of three essential elements, namely Islamicity, integration and locality. Islamicity means that the entire identity of the integrated Islamic schools is based on the Islamic values of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah. The identity of integration refers to the integration of the curriculum, the roles of teachers and parents, the identity of the soul of educators, and the integration of institutions under one foundation. Meanwhile, local identity is an identifying identity taken from local wisdom, such as a Qur'ani-inspired school, a madrasah-nuanced school, and a philanthropic school

This research explores the essential importance of pre-service early childhood education (ECE) teachers having a strong comprehension and proficiency in intercultural instruction. This research focuses on examining the practical experiences of 168 pre-service ECE teachers from four institutions in Kalimantan. The main objective is to investigate how these teachers negotiate the implementation of multicultural education throughout their field placements. The research utilizes a descriptive quantitative research methodology by conducting surveys. Pre-service ECE teachers utilize a variety of methods to introduce and commemorate cultural diversity among young learners. These activities encompass field visits, media exploration, cultural performances, and storytelling to cultivate comprehension and admiration for diverse cultures. Although a few individuals encounter difficulties when carrying out tasks, the majority enthusiastically adopt interactive methods to enhance their experiences and expand their viewpoints. The assessment of multicultural education entails the quantification of engagement, comprehension, and reactions, thereby emphasizing specific domains that require enhancement. Efforts to tackle negative attitudes focus on promoting inclusive dialogues and cooperative endeavours, while refraining from punitive actions. Engaging parents, cultivating intercultural comprehension, facilitating discourse, and commemorating festivals all contribute to establishing inclusive educational environments where diversity is respected and celebrated. This research emphasizes the crucial significance of a comprehensive approach to multicultural teaching for pre-service ECE teachers. It also highlights the necessity of ongoing evaluation to enable the continuous enhancement of practices in this important educational field

To address the complex effects of globalization, social Sufi values are applied by figures such as Habib Husein Jafar Al-Hadar. Habib Husein Jafar, an Islamic scholaractively involved in social media-based preaching, consistently applies a Sufi approach in every aspect of his preaching. This research employs a qualitative research approach using a figure's thought study with a literature review, utilizing content analysis techniques. Data collection involves digital and print documentation related to the theme of social Sufism, with digital documentation from the Jeda Nulis channel and the LogIn program, and printed documentation from books authored by Habib Ja’far. The findings emphasize the significance of applying social Sufi values in this era to cultivate individuals who are pious both ritually and socially. Three social Sufi values identified in Husein Ja’far Al-Hadar's thinking include a minimalist lifestyle, a moderate attitude, and practicing good relations(silaturahmi). Minimalist values teach simplicity, avoidance of the forbidden, and acceptance within one's capacity. Moderate attitude and practicing good relations (silaturahmi) create a life that ensures happiness not only in this world but also in the hereafter, fostering harmonious relationships and preventing individualistic, egoistic, and antagonistic behaviors
