Breaking the Dullness of Thought Among Nahdliyin: The Genealogy of KH. Sahal Mahfudh's Civilization Jurisprudence
This article discusses the central role of the KH. Sahal Mahfudh as a breaker of thought dullness among Nahdliyin through a genealogical approach to the jurisprudence of civilization. Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, plays a significant role in shaping the religious identity and civilization of society. However, like other organizations, NU also face challenges in the face of rapid social, political, and technological changes. KH Sahal Mahfudh, a renowned scholar and NU leader, became a key figure who carried out the mission of renewing the understanding of jurisprudence among Nahdliyin. This article describes the genealogy of jurisprudence thought among Nahdliyin since the beginning of NU to KH. Sahal Mahfudh's role as a pioneer in reviving and renewing scientific discourse within the NU. Through the genealogy analysis method, this article traces the origins of jurisprudence in Nahdliyin and examines its development from time to time. The results show that over time, jurisprudent thinking among Nahdliyin tends to experience stagnation, especially in dealing with contemporary issues. This poses a challenge to answering the problems of Islamic laws that are relevant to the context of the times. KH Sahal Mahfudh, with his progressive and inclusive vision, succeeded in offering a jurisprudent approach that is relevant and adaptive to changing times. Through his work, he invited Nahdliyin to re-explore the roots of authentic Islamic science, while still paying attention to the context of modern civilization. KH. Sahal Mahfudh's important contribution to developing scientific discourse among Nahdliyin helped unravel the stagnation of thought and paved the way for the continuous renewal of Islamic thought. Thus, this article provides insight into the importance of the renewal of thought among Nahdliyin, especially in the context of modern civilization. The genealogy of civilization jurisprudence is described through the role of KH. Sahal Mahfudh provided a valuable contribution to understanding the dynamics of Islamic thought in Indonesia, as well as its relevance in facing various contemporary challenges
Big-Five Personality: Prediction of Fear of Missing Out, Problematic Social Media Use, and Deceptive Behavior
Very rapid development in information technology, one of which lies in social networking media. The use of social media continued to increase from 2013 (42%) to 2015 (47%). The extensive use of social media causes adverse effects such as deceptive behavior (in social media), constant urge to go online, problematic social media use, and checking social media (fear of missing out). This study examines how Big-Five personality affects deceptive behavior, FoMO, and problematic social media use. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling, which 121 students in DKI Jakarta selected. Multiple linear regression and multivariate multiple regression were used to examine the data. As a result, there is a strong correlation between the Big-Five personality in predicting FoMO, deceptive behavior, and problematic social media use. This finding has implications for universities, especially for lecturers with a background in psychology, to direct and provide knowledge to students to avoid deceptive behavior, problematic social media use, and fear of missing out
Dampak Perceraian Terhadap Perkembangan Psikologis Anak
Dalam keluarga dibutuhkan hubungan yang harmonis antara kedua orang tua dan juga terhadap anak karena tumbuh kembang dan pendidikan anak sangat terpengaruh dengan suasana dalam keluarga. Namun tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa kehidupan manusia sudah dikodratkan dengan suka, duka, kebahagiaan, penderitaan, kesengsaraan serta perselisihan yang datang silih berganti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literatur revew dengan menggunakan dengan menggunakan data sekunder dari artikel jurnal Nasional yang sesuai dengan topik pembahasan. Dalam penelitian ini memaparkan bahwa perceraian bukan akhir dari hubungan suami istri, tetapi mereka masih mempunyai tanggung jawab terhadap buah hati atau anak dari hasil hubungan suami istri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengupas apa dampak terhadap perkembangan psikologis anak, karena pada umumnya perkembangan psikologis anak sangat terganggu dengan terjadinya perceraian orang tuanya. Selain itu, perceraian juga menimbulkan berkurangnya perhatian dan kasih sayang pasca perceraian terhadap anak. Kurangnya perhatian dan kasih sayang terhadap anak akan menimbulkan perasaan sedih, cemas, galau, bingung, dan malu. Terlebih lagi ketika anak menginjak remaja, maka anak akan mengalami gangguan emosionalnya dan besar kemungkinannya akan lari pada kenakalan remaja bahkan narkoba
Determinants of Teacher Competence in Islamic Education: Bibliometric Analysis and Approach
This study aims to identify publications on teacher competence in madrasah education and describe this research's characteristics. The bibliometric analysis method was used in this study. The results showed that publications on teacher competency in madrasahs/schools increased yearly from 2017 to 2020. The highest number of documents was at the institution or university "Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta" with six documents, in the journal "JIP Scientific Journal PGMI" with 85 documents, and one article in the Journal of Research and Thought on Islamic Education (JRTIE) entitled "Strengthening new literacy for primary school teachers in responding to the challenges of the industrial revolution era 4.0". The focus of the first research was observation and management. The second research focus was social competency and teacher competency. The third research focus was development and implementation. The new theme keywords are planning, preparation, elementary school, and lesson plan. That is, the keywords with the latest theme can be used as a novelty for further research that wants to research related to this field
Analyzing Madrasah Teacher Performance Assessment in Underdeveloped Areas: A Phenomenological Study in Maluku Province
Teacher performance assessment is a system designed to determine teachers' capacity to perform their duties by assessing the competence of skills demonstrated in their performance. Analyzing the madrasah teacher' performance assessment in underdeveloped areas of Indonesia is challenging. This study aimed to decipher the experience of assessing the performance of madrasah teachers in underdeveloped regions of Indonesia. It was a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach conducted in Maluku Province. Purposive sampling was used to select samples, including the head of the Islamic Education Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Regency, the madrasah principals, and teachers assessed for their performance. The data was gathered through interviews and analyzed using an interactive model. The findings revealed five significant problems with the madrasah teacher performances in underdeveloped areas: compliance with teacher performance assessment (TPA) guidelines, implementation, natural conditions, costs, and transportation
Dramaturgy and Its Effects on Beggar's Religious Life: An Islamic Education Perspective
This study aims to reveal the beggar's dual role at the Sunan Kalijaga and Sunan Kudus Tombs. The beggar's dual role is the behavior differences in front of the congregation or the community and behind it. This type of research includes qualitative field research with an ethnographic approach that emphasizes paying attention to the meaning of the beggar's actions. The results of this study indicate that on the front stage, beggars use symbols that can support their role, while backstage, they are people who do not experience economic problems. This contradiction shows that they are less grateful and need special education to strengthen Islamic education for the community, especially Muslim beggars
Strategi Pengembangan Literasi Digital Santri Melalui Pers Mahrusy di Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo
Technology that is increasingly advanced, and continues to develop, make it possible to support and facilitate the wider internet network and media convergence. This certainly makes it easy for users to get information. Even the educational process has also morphed to adjust to developments in the learning process through various online/online media. This study aims to determine the strategy for developing students' digital literacy through the Mahrusy Press at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School HM Al Mahrusiyah. This is important, considering that students are often seen as traditional in modernity. This qualitative research method uses in-depth interview techniques in collecting data. The key informant is the General Manager of the Mahrusy Press with secondary data obtained from observation and documentation techniques. As a result, it is known that the strategy for developing student literacy used by Press Mahrusy so that it becomes one of the reference media for East Java is the holding of The Rules guidebook, giving affirmations on the importance of digital literacy, reading habits, holding Journalistic Korans, conducting literacy studies as a form of follow-up to journalism recitation, following contests or contests that hone the abilities of members, hold comparative studies, and always ask for guidance from active advisors to the Mahrusy Press. It is hoped that future researchers can dig deeper regarding each literacy development strategy or examine it with a different theory
Analisis Faktor Penyebab Anak Usia Dini Mengalami Kesulitan dalam Berhitung di TK Siaga Muda Kec Percut Sei Tuan
This study aims to analyze the factors that cause early childhood difficulties in counting at Siaga Muda Kindergarten. Difficulties in counting at an early age can have a long-term impact on children’s future mathematical development, to prevent this, this research was conducted. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, which is a qualitative approach with observation methods and also interviews with young children and teachers of TK Siaga Muda. The results of this study found several main factors that contribute to numeracy difficulties in early childhood at Siaga Muda Kindergarten. The first is the lack of understanding of basic math concepts such as addition, subtraction and number concepts in children. The second factor is ineffective teaching methods, and the third factor is the lack of time spent practicing. This study recommends several steps to overcome early childhood numeracy difficulties at Siaga Muda Kindergarten. Such as using interactive and interesting teaching approaches, using diverse and creative methods, and the need for close cooperation between teachers, parents and educational institutions. By identifying the factors that cause numeracy difficulties at Siaga Muda Kindergarten, this research is expected to provide valuable input
Pembinaan Pembelajaran Kaligrafi Al-Qur’an Berbasis Pembelajaran Kooperatif
This paper aims to describe the pattern of fostering Al-Qur'an calligraphy learning. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants of this study were trainers and students in fostering Al-Qur'an calligraphy learning at the Development Institute for Tilawatil Qur’an (LPTQ) West Sumatra. The results of this study found that the pattern of coaching learning of Al-Qur'an calligraphy includes aspects of strict quality management and quality starting from input, process, and output. Quality input indicators are the qualifications of students and trainers. In the learning process aspect, two essential indicators support the achievement of higher-quality output: the quarantine system and the application of cooperative learning strategies. In addition, cooperative learning-based Al-Qur'an calligraphy development pattern has six work steps, including determining tasks, determining partners, implementing, investigating the correction team, products, and awards
Correlation Between Gratitude and Social Comparison with Body Image in Vocational High School (SMK) Students
This study aimed to determine the correlation between gratitude and social comparison with body image in adolescents. This research used a quantitative approach with the correlation study involving 136 students of the Online Marketing and Business Expertise Program at SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta, female students aged 15-18 years. Data were collected using a measuring instrument for gratitude using the concept of Al Ghazali, a measuring instrument for social comparison using the theory of Jones, and a measuring instrument for body image using the theory of Cash & Pruzinsky. This study used content validity by involving seven experts or raters. The results showed that gratitude had a reliability coefficient of 0.917, the social comparison had a reliability coefficient of 0.913, and body image had a reliability coefficient of 0.883. Based on hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis, the results showed that gratitude and social comparison simultaneously had a significant correlation with body image, with a correlation coefficient of 0.192 and a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Then partially, gratitude had a positive correlation with body image, with a correlation coefficient of 0.425 with a significance value of 0.001 (p <0.05). Meanwhile, the social comparison had no correlation with body image because it had a correlation coefficient of -0.342 with a significance value of 0.178 (p>0.05)
