    The Empowerment of National Defense in Realizing the Fulfillment of the Minimum Essence Force (MEF) By The Domestic Defense Industry

    In writing this paper, the author gives the title Empowerment of National Defense in Realizing the Fulfillment of the Minimum Essence Force (MEF) of the TNI Alutsista by the Domestic Defense Industry which will briefly discuss the challenges and opportunities that can be utilized in efforts to empower the national defense industry to meet the MEF target for the main weaponry system. TNI that is in line with the needs of military weapons.The writing of this paper aims to provide benefits in the form of contribution of thoughts to the leadership of the Navy from an educational, inspirational and instructive aspect as well as consideration for the leadership of the Navy in an effort to build by encouraging, motivating, and raising awareness of its potential as well as trying to develop it, so that it can support the empowerment of national defense in realizing the fulfillment of the Minimum Essence Force (MEF) of the TNI's defense equipment, especially the Navy, by the domestic defense industry.The writing of this group paper uses a descriptive historical analysis method which is carried out comprehensively and the approach used in writing this paper uses a literature study, theoretical, juridical, and empirical assignment approach.The discussion of writing this paper is to be able to know the achievements of the Minimum Essence Forces (MEF) posture, to know the condition of the defense industry and to know the challenges and solutions for the Indonesian Defense Industry to face these challenges are a strong commitment and systematic planning in strengthening the synergy between ministries and institutions.The conclusion in writing this paper is that the empowerment of the national defense industry in supporting the needs of national defense requires a long process and needs to be carried out continuously. Keywords: Empowerment of National Defense, Minimum Essence Forces (MEF) and Industry Defend             Dalam penulisan kertas karya ini penulis memberikan judul Pemberdayaan Pertahanan Nasional Dalam Mewujudkan Pemenuhan Minimum Essence Force (MEF) Alutsista TNI Oleh Industri Pertahanan Dalam Negeri yang secara singkat akan membahas mengenai tantangan dan peluang yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam upaya pemberdayaan industri pertahanan nasional untuk memenuhi target MEF alutsista TNI yang selaras dengan kebutuhan persenjataan militer. Penulisan kertas karya ini bertujuan dapat memberikan manfaat berupa sumbangan pemikiran kepada pimpinan TNI Angkatan Laut dari aspek edukatif, inspiratif dan instruktif serta sebagai bahan pertimbangan bagi pimpinan TNI Angakatan Laut dalam upaya membangun dengan mendorong, memotivasikan, dan membangkitkan kesadaran akan potensi yang dimilikinya serta berupaya untuk mengembangkannya, sehingga dapat mendukung pemberdayaan pertahanan nasional dalam mewujudkan pemenuhan Minimum Essence Force (MEF) alutsista TNI khususnya Angkata Laut oleh industri pertahan dalam negeri. Penulisan kertas karya kelompok ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis historis yang dilakukan secara komprehensif dan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penulisan kertas karya ini menggunakan metode pendekatan studi kepustakaan, teoritis, yuridis, dan empiris penugasan. Pembahasan penulisan kertas karya ini adalah dapat mengetahui capaian postur Minimum Essence Forces (MEF),  mengetahui kondisi industri pertahanan dan mengetahui tantangan serta Solusi Industri Pertahanan Indonesia untuk menghadapi tantangan tersebut adalah komitmen yang kuat serta perencanaan yang sistematis dalam menguatkan sinergitas antar kementerian dan lembaga. Kesimpulan dalam penulisan kertas karya ini adalah pemberdayaan industri pertahanan nasional dalam menunjang kebutuhan pertahanan negara membutuhkan proses yang panjang dan perlu dilaksanakan secara berkesinambungan.   Kata Kunci : Pemberdayaan Pertahanan Nasional, Minimum Essence Forces (MEF) dan Industri Pertahana

    The Effect of Extrinsic Motivation and Compensation on Employee Performance: Study on Employees at a Retail Company in the City of Bandung

    This research aims to know the effect of extrinsic motivation and compensation on employee performance at a retail company in Bandung. This study also aims to analyze the most dominant factor between extrinsic motivation and compensation on employee performance. This research method uses descriptive and verification methods. Researchers obtained data and information that would support this research by taking the object of research as many as 40 employees using a questionnaire aimed at employees. Based on the study's path analysis results, the extrinsic motivation variable has a direct effect of 24%, an indirect effect through a relationship with compensation of 19.5%, and a total effect of 43.5%. The compensation variable has a direct effect of 23.5% and an indirect effect through the extrinsic motivation of 19.5%, a total effect of 43.0%. The results of the correlation coefficient of determination expressed in percentages describe the magnitude of the contribution of all independent variables, namely extrinsic motivation and compensation, in determining the performance variable, which is 0.865 or 86.5%. In contrast, other factors that do not affect performance that is not examined are shown by the value of ? = 0.135 or 13, 5%. The conclusions and suggestions obtained are considered in connection with the study's results; namely, management should be able to maintain and increase extrinsic motivation and compensation to improve performance.    &nbsp

    Financial literacy has a long-term goal for all segments of society, which is to increase literacy someone who previously less literate or not literate become well literate and increase the number of users of products and financial services. Targets for the creation of a society that financial literate is a Housewife, SMEs, Professionals, Students,  Student  Employees  and  Pensioners.  In  2016  the  focus  of  the  Financial  Services Authority (OJK) targets are employees including professors. This study was conducted to determine the level of professor’s  financial literacy at the Telkom University 2016 by using quantitative descriptive approach, with a proportionate stratified random sampling. The results showed that the level of professor’s  financial literacy at the Telkom University in 2016 is still in the low category with a percentage value of 53,1%.   Keywords: financial literacy, lecturer

    The study was conducted in STMIK Mardira Indonesia. The results of preliminary studies indicate that student satisfaction in STMIK Mardira Indonesia not optimal. Not optimal for student satisfactions were allegedly caused by factors of service quality include: Physical Evidence, Empathy, Reliability, Responsiveness and Assurance given. According to phenomenon, the problem is formulated in this study as follows: What factors of service quality and student satisfaction STMIK Mardira Indonesia. How the Influence factors of service quality on student satisfaction STMIK Mardira Indonesian either partially or simultaneously. Research method used is descriptive analysis, with a total population of 462 people, and is based on probability sampling with stratified random sampling technique by 5% of precision, then taken into a sample of 215 people. The data analysis technique done by the analysis of the path (Path Analisys) to determine the degree of the relationship between research variables, as well as to determine the effect, either directly or indirectly on the variables. In its operation using SPSS 17 and Ms. Excel. The results showed that the influence of the quality of service simultaneously at 59.4% and residual of 40.06 have been affected by other factors that are not revealed in this study. The direct effect of Physical Evidence 1.66%, Empathy 0.37%, 2.34% Reliability, Responsiveness 10.18%  and Assurance 5.24%. while the total effect of Physical Evidence 7.5%, Empathy 3.5%, 10.2% Reliability, Responsiveness 22.7% and Assurance 15.5%  Keywords: service quality; student satisfactio

    This research was conducted in the District Batujajar. The results of preliminary studies indicate that the performance of the sub-district officials have not met the expectations. Not optimal performance of the sub-district officials, allegedly because of organizational culture, work discipline, and his motivation is still low.               Departing from the above phenomenon, the problem formulated in this study as follows: How oragnisasional culture, work discipline, motivation, and performance apparatus Batujajar District of Bandung regency. How much influence organizational culture, work discipline, and motivation to work on the performance of the apparatus Batujajar District of Bandung either partially or simultaneously.               The method used is descriptive method of analysis, with a total population of 43 people, all of them serve as respondent (census). The data analysis technique used is the correlation analysis techniques to determine the degree of closeness of the relationship between the study variables and path analysis techniques to determine the effect, directly or indirectly, exogenous variables on endogenous variables. In the operationalization used SPSS 10 and Excel.               The results showed that the direct effect of organizational culture on the performance of the sub-district officials Batujajar of 0,066, the indirect effect through labor discipline of 0.007, the indirect effect through the work motivation of 0.056, so the total effect of 0, 129. The direct effect on the performance of work discipline is equal to 0.064 and indirect effect through organizational culture on the performance of 0,007, the indirect effect through motivation to work on the performance of 0.043, so that the total effect is equal to 0.114. Simultaneous influence of organizational culture, work discipline, and motivation to work on the performance of the apparatus Batujajar District of Bandung amounted to 0.621, the remaining amount of 0.379 determined by other variables.               Based on the results, it can put forward some suggestions as follows: in the sub-district leader Batujajar districts should emphasize employment targets, concerned with improving employee skills, providing working facilities, Giving rewards for high achievers and sanctions for noncompliance; have a clear and unequivocal rules for the convenience of the employees, understand the various rules, obey and adhere to the regulations set out, follow up on the results of the evaluation produces a better solution, sanctions for violating any rules; increase the income of workers, improving the ability of the apparatus, looking for new ways better, reward commensurate with the burden of his duties and responsibilities.  &nbsp

    The purpose of this study to determine the influence of regional financial information system on the quality of financial statements. The object of research is the application of Financial Management System (SIPKD). This study uses qualitative descriptive method using saturated sampling. Based on the calculation, the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.721. This indicates that the application of regional financial information system (X) affects the quality of the regional financial report (Y) amounted to 72.1%, while the remaining 27.9% is influenced by other factors which may affect the quality of financial reporting area.     The research objective to be achieved is to determine the effect of transformational leadership on etikas business as well as its implications on the performance of employees. The study population is one of the employees leasing company in Bandung using the entire population. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the calculation results showed that the significant effect on the transformational leadership and business ethics and employee performance. Are influential transformational leadership directly to employee performance at 0.50 while the influence of business ethics at 0.60. The influence of business ethics on the performance of employees is 0.45. While the results of the overall effect of transformational leadership and business ethics at 0.67 or 67%. This indicates that the variable performance of employees can be explained by 67% by transformational leadership and business ethics, while the rest of 33% influenced by other variables not examined in this study.   Keywords: transformational leadership, business ethics, performance
