    LITERACY OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHERS: A MEANS OF BUILDING STUDENT CHARACTER IN THE DIGITAL ERA

    The digital revolution has brought significant changes to the world of education, including Islamic Religious Education, requiring teachers to master digital literacy, pedagogy, and content. This study explores teacher literacy's impact on character development in Islamic Religious Education during the digital era. Using a qualitative approach with a library research method, this study analyzes literature on teacher literacy, character education, and educational technology. The findings indicate that teachers' digital literacy influences teaching quality and the effectiveness of character education. Teachers with high digital literacy can leverage digital tools to create interactive and meaningful learning experiences. In contrast, those with low digital literacy tend to rely on traditional methods less relevant to students' needs in the digital age. Key challenges identified include limited access to technology, lack of digital literacy training, and cultural resistance to modern technology. This study recommends continuous training, the provision of technological infrastructure, and curriculum development that integrates Islamic values with digital approaches to enhance the effectiveness of character education

    The development of the digital era presents new challenges in the character building of Generation Z, who were born and grew up in a technological environment. In this case, Islamic education is crucial in shaping their morals and ethics to remain aligned with Islamic teachings. This study aims to examine the integration strategy of Islamic education values in the character building of Generation Z in the digital era, with a research focus on class XI students of SMAN 1 Nisam who have an average age of 16 to 17 years old. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the strategies used by the teacher of SMAN 1 Nisam to integrate the Islamic Education values in character building are applied through morals-based learning, religious activities, digital media utilization, and Islamic attitude habituation. The integrated Islamic Education values include the values of aqidah, morals, and social responsibility, which aim to shape students' personalities so that they can face digital challenges wisely

    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EXEMPLARY AND HABITUAL METHODS IN SHAPING STUDENTS' MORALS AT SMA NEGERI 1 BENGKUNAT

    This study explores the effectiveness of exemplary and habituation methods in learning morals at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkunat, Ngaras District, Pesisir Barat Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, focusing on understanding phenomena holistically through descriptions of words in a natural context. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques, with purposive sampling techniques involving principals, teachers, and school staff as the primary informants. The results showed that the exemplary method effectively shapes student character, where students learn moral values by observing teachers as role models. The success of this method is driven by teacher competence and a supportive school environment. The habituation method is also effective through positive habits that are applied regularly, with teachers as facilitators who use positive and negative reinforcement to instill moral values. To improve the effectiveness of both methods, it is recommended that teachers provide more varied examples, utilize interactive learning media, and optimize rewards

    Penguatan Moderasi Beragama Melalui “Living Quranic Values” di Pesantren: (Studi Pondok Pesantren Barat Tengah Aceh)

    Penelitian ini berfokus pada implementasi, pemahaman, serta dampak penerapan Living Qur’anic Values di pesantren wilayah Barat Tengah Aceh, dengan tujuan utama memperkuat kesadaran moderasi beragama. Sebagai lembaga pendidikan berbasis Islam, pesantren memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter santri yang tidak hanya memahami ajaran Al-Qur'an secara teoritis, tetapi juga mampu menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Nilai-nilai Qur'ani seperti tawassuth (moderat), i’tidal (adil), tasamuh (toleran), ishah (perbaikan), qudwah (teladan), musyawarah (konsultasi), muwathanah (kewarganegaraan), al-la 'unf (anti kekerasan), dan i’tiraf bil ‘urf (menghargai tradisi) dianggap sebagai elemen kunci dalam membangun sikap moderat di kalangan santri, yang sangat relevan di tengah keberagaman masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran (mixed methods), yaitu kombinasi antara metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif, guna memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang penerapan Living Qur’anic Values. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket yang melibatkan para pimpinan pesantren, ustadz-ustadzah, serta santriwan-santriwati di sejumlah pesantren di wilayah Barat Tengah Aceh. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an ini sudah cukup baik di lingkungan pesantren, meskipun masih ada disparitas dalam pemahaman dan pengamalan konsep moderasi beragama di antara santri. Sebanyak 54% santri telah mendengar istilah moderasi beragama atau washathiyyah, namun hanya 30% dari mereka yang benar-benar memahami konsep ini secara mendalam. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun nilai-nilai moderasi telah diperkenalkan, integrasinya dalam kurikulum formal dan praktik sehari-hari masih perlu ditingkatkan. Dampak penerapan Living Qur’anic Values terlihat dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan di pesantren. Di sekolah, santri menunjukkan peningkatan kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan prestasi akademik, serta lebih aktif dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Di lingkungan pesantren, nilai-nilai akhlak dan moral yang baik, seperti kesederhanaan dan empati, semakin melekat dalam keseharian santri. Sementara di masyarakat, santri menjadi teladan dalam mengamalkan nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an dan terlibat dalam berbagai kegiatan sosial. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya penguatan penerapan nilai-nilai Qur’ani di pesantren, baik secara konseptual maupun praktis, untuk menciptakan generasi santri yang tidak hanya cerdas dalam memahami agama, tetapi juga mampu menjadi agen perubahan yang moderat, toleran, dan berkontribusi positif di masyarakat. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan pendidikan pesantren yang lebih berfokus pada penguatan moderasi beragama dan pengamalan Al-Qur'an dalam kehidupan sehari-hari

    Konsep Permasalahan Psikologis Pada Gen-Z: Solusi Qur'ani Serta Aktualisasi di Media Sosial

    Permasalahan kesehatan mental pada Generasi Z semakin mengkhawatirkan akibat tingginya intensitas penggunaan media sosial. Gejala seperti kecemasan, stres, dan ketidakstabilan emosi sering dipicu oleh fenomena digital seperti FoMO, perbandingan sosial, dan perundungan siber. Tulisan ini mengambil posisi dalam diskursus integrasi spiritual-psikologis dengan menawarkan solusi berbasis Al-Qur’an terhadap gangguan mental tersebut. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dan metode studi kepustakaan, artikel ini menganalisis bentuk dan penyebab gangguan mental pada Gen-Z serta menyajikan nilai-nilai spiritual Qur’ani seperti dzikir, tawakkal, dan qana’ah sebagai media penyembuhan jiwa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai ini, jika diaktualisasikan melalui konten media sosial, mampu menciptakan ruang digital yang menenangkan dan membangun identitas positif. Media sosial pun dapat menjadi sarana dakwah spiritual dan penyembuhan mental apabila dimanfaatkan secara bijak. Kesimpulannya, integrasi antara spiritualitas Qur’ani dan literasi digital adalah solusi strategis dalam mengatasi krisis psikologis Gen-Z. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi berupa model spiritual yang aplikatif dan kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental generasi muda di era digital

    The Relevance of Imam al-Māwardī’s Thought to the Legislative Process of Aceh’s Qanun by the Aceh People's Representative Council

    The process of legislation on the Qanun by the Aceh People's Representative Council (DPRA) is a unique legal mechanism in the Indonesian government system, because it is closely related to the implementation of Islamic sharia in Aceh. This study aims to see the relevance of the Qanun legislation process in Aceh from the perspective of the concept of  Islamic politics put forward by Imam Al-Mawardi, a classical Islamic thinker who discusses a lot of Islamic government theory and law. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods and literature studies on Al-Mawardi's thoughts in the book Al-Ahkam As-Sultaniyyah. The results of the study show that in the Qanun legislation process, the DPRA plays a role as a legislative body that has the authority to formulate regional regulations based on Islamic law. However, in practice, there are still challenges such as local political dynamics, the interests of various actors, and synchronization with national law. So, how does the DPRA use the concept of Islam in the Qanonic legislation process? And in the legislative process, the DPRA prioritizes certain political interests over the interests of the people?  Al-Mawardi's perspective provides insight that good legislation must pay attention to the balance between Islamic law and the benefit of the ummah, and avoid political interests that can hinder the ideal implementation of sharia. Thus, this research contributes to the understanding of the Qanun legislation process from an Islamic political perspective and offers recommendations so that the DPRA can carry out its duties more optimally following the principles of ideal Islamic governance according to Al-Mawardi

    The Determination of Ṭalāq Timing: A Comparative Study Between the Compilation of Islamic Law and the Shafi’i School Scholars

    This study examines the differences in the determination of the timing of ṭalāq between the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI)—as a codified representation of Islamic law in Indonesia and the views of classical scholars, particularly those of the Shafi’i school. The focus of the study lies in how each legal system defines the moment when ṭalāq is considered valid and legally effective, as well as its legal implications on the rights of husbands and wives and the integrity of the family institution. This research adopts a juridical-normative approach and applies a descriptive-analytical method, drawing from literature reviews of classical fiqh texts, statutory regulations, and relevant scholarly journals. The findings indicate that, according to the Shafi’i school, ṭalāq is considered to take effect immediately upon the husband’s pronouncement of a valid ṭalāq, whether expressed explicitly (ṣarīḥ), which requires no accompanying intention, or implicitly (kināyah), which must be accompanied by intent. In this context, the legal effect of ṭalāq does not depend on court proceedings or administrative registration; rather, it hinges on the husband’s verbal expression and intention as the substantive conditions for validity. Conversely, under the KHI, ṭalāq is only deemed valid if it is formally declared by the husband before a panel of judges during a Religious Court session. Any ṭalāq pronounced outside this official mechanism, such as privately or informally, has no legal standing, even if stated verbally by the husband. This divergence reflects a shift in legal paradigms: from a substantive-textual approach in classical jurisprudence to a formal-procedural approach in contemporary, institutionalized Islamic law. The KHI emphasizes women’s protection and legal certainty within the household, while the Shafi’i school focuses more on the authority of the husband and the spiritual-legal meaning of ṭalāq. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of harmonizing classical fiqh values with the demands of modern legal frameworks, ensuring that Islamic law remains contextual, just, and responsive to the evolving dynamics of contemporary society

    Moral Development Through Salafi Dayah Education in Aceh

    This study examines the role of Dayah (Islamic traditional educational institutions) in shaping the moral character of the Muslim community in Aceh. Dayah plays a significant role in developing the character and morals of society through an educational approach based on religious values. This research aims to analyze the concept of moral development implemented in Salafi Dayah, the methods used, and their impact on the character formation of students (santri). The research methodology employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and literature review. The findings indicate that Salafi Dayah in Aceh utilize a learning approach based on classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), moral mentoring, and strict supervision in the daily lives of students to instill strong morals. Moral development in Salafi Dayah focuses not only on intellectual aspects but also on spirituality, ethics, and profound Islamic values. Consequently, Salafi Dayah contribute significantly to creating a generation with noble character, capable of facing moral challenges in the modern era

    Tujuan kegiatan ini ialah meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi canva bagi guru-guru TK, kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk melatih guru-guru agar dapat menggunakan teknologi dalam Pendidikan khususnya dalam membuat media pembelejaran, sehingga kegiatan ini dapat melatih sekaligus meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam menciptakan sebuah media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan tidak monoton, yang dimana media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu perangkat pembelajaran yang tidak bisa diabaikan, artinya wajib bagi guru menyediakan media pemebelajaran agar mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang maksimal dan menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini ialah tatap muka langsung dengan guru-guru TK, kegiatan ini juga menggunakan metode praktek langsung yaitu guru mendemonstrasikan hasil dari media yang telah dibuat dengan menggunakan aplikasi canva. Hasil dari penelitian ini ialah para peserta dapat menciptakan sebuah media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi canva, guru juga telah memahami dan dapat menggunakan aplikasi canva yang dimana sebelumnya para guru belum pernah menggunakan aplikasi tersebut dalam membuat media pembelajaran

    Leadership commitment in building a positive and productive work culture can improve the quality of performance of educational organizations. This study aims to describe and analyze leadership commitment in building the work culture of educational organizations. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research study method by conducting a literature review in analyzing data and information about leadership commitment in building the work culture of educational organizations. The results of this study indicate that leadership commitment in building the work culture of educational organizations, including: 1) commitment to the vision and mission of the organization by developing the vision and mission, communicating the vision and mission to all members of the organization, integrating the vision and mission into all aspects of organizational activities and evaluating and updating the vision and mission regularly, 2) commitment to building a solid work team by carrying out activities that increase the job satisfaction of team members and activities that support and improve the quality of work results, 3) commitment to work innovation by carrying out activities to develop and implement new and creative ideas, as well as activities to implement processes and use new technology and provide opportunities for team members to implement new and creative ideas, and 4) commitment to improvement and change. and 4) commitment to continuous improvement and change by implementing continuous improvement and change activities by work team members, and activities that can increase job satisfaction of education organization team member
