    DESIGNING SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS FOR TEACHING-LEARNING OF WRITING EXPLANATORY TEXT BASED ON A GENRE-BASED APPROACH

    Writing an explanatory text following the advanced contents in the textbook may be arduous for rural students. Territory differences remarkably denote that students' needs for topics in the explanatory text are also distinct. Therefore, the exposure topics must be by the students' conditions. This study aimed to design supplementary materials as an e-book based on the genre-based approach for students' learning of writing explanatory text with closely-related topics. The students were the eleventh graders of SMAN 01 Seponti at Kayong Utara regency. This study employed research and development (R&D) with the procedure of the ADDIE concept (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The data collection employed instruments, field notes, interview protocol, documenting notes, and questionnaires. We collected the data through observation, interview, document analysis, and questionnaire distribution. The data were analyzed using fieldnote reflection, interview transcription, textbook analysis results, and the rating scale interpretation. The need analysis results show that the textbook used by the teacher to teach writing the explanatory text was not in line with the student's condition. After the e-book was entirely developed, the internal evaluation was inquired. It resulted in the 'very good' category for its general appearance, layout and design, methodology, activities, language skills, language content, topic content, teachability and flexibility, and assessment, with percentages of 93,33%, 93,33%, 93,33%, 86,67%, 93,33%, 93,33%, 93,33%, 86,67%, 80%, respectively. The study implies that the product is feasible, and this study may add insights for future research

    Sering ditemukan kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menurunkan maupun mengintegralkan Fungsi Aljabar, yang berarti hambatan belajar akan berlanjut jika tidak diatasi, oleh karena itu guru perlu mendisain pembelajaran matematika untuk mengatasi kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami siswa. Melalui Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk merancang desain didaktis pembelajaran Integral Tak Tentu Fungsi Aljabar dengan memperhatikan learning obstacle dan learning trajectory yang diharapkan dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Didactical Design Research (DDR) yang dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu analisis situasi didaktis (proespektif), analisis metapedadidaktik, dan analisis retrospektif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Langkah pertama dari penelitian ini adalah megidentifikasi kesulitan belajar siswa dengan melakukan tes diagnostik kepada siswa kelas XII IPA SMA Shailendra sebagai kelas yang telah mempelajari materi Integral Tak Tentu Fungsi Aljabar. Setelah kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa teridentifikasi, maka dilakukan penyusunan HLT (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory) yang dituangkan dalam desain didaktis kemudian di uji cobakan kepada siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Shailendra yang belum pernah mempelajari materi Integral Tak Tentu Fungsi Aljabar. Dari analisis hasil tes diagnostik dan identifikasi akhir didapati penurunan learning obstacle sehingga hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain didaktis yang dirancang dan diterapkan dapat mengatasi learning obstacle yang dialami siswa.AbstractIt is often found that students make mistakes in deriving or integrating Algebraic Functions, which means that learning obstacles will continue if they are not overcome, therefore teachers need to design mathematics learning to overcome the difficulties experienced by students. Through research which aims to design a didactic design for Algebraic Integral Indefinite Function learning by paying attention to learning obstacles and learning trajectories which are expected to be able to overcome the learning difficulties experienced by students. The research method used is Didactical Design Research (DDR) which is carried out in three stages, namely didactical situation analysis (prospective), metapedadidactic analysis, and retrospective analysis. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The first step of this research was to identify students' learning difficulties by conducting diagnostic tests on class After the learning difficulties experienced by the students were identified, an HLT (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory) was prepared which was outlined in a didactic design and then tested on class From the analysis of the diagnostic test results and final identification, it was found that learning obstacles had decreased so that the research results showed that the didactic design that was designed and implemented could overcome the learning obstacles experienced by students

    EFL STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS ON THE USE OF LIVEWORKSHEETS AS TEACHING AND LEARNING PLATFORM

     This study aims to provide comprehensive insights into EFL students' perceptions of using the live worksheets as a teaching and learning platform. The study involved 8-grade students at Al-Ikhlas Excellent Junior High School Rembang, consisting of 9 female and five male students. This study conducted the case study design by using the descriptive statistics method. Surveys and interviews were conducted to gather students' opinions and feedback regarding their experiences with live worksheets. The survey explored aspects such as ease of use, usefulness, satisfaction, and benefits of the live worksheets’ platform in EFL learning. The interviews provided more profound insights into students' perceptions and experiences. The data will be statistically analyzed using descriptive techniques. The result indicated that 78,6% of students had utilized live worksheets for their assignments. From the frequency of use, it was found that 57.1% of students formed their first impressions of Live worksheets through this research, while 50% found it to be well-suited to their needs. Impressively, 85.7% of students reported enjoying the platform. Furthermore, the Likert scale shows that 71,4% of students feel this platform is easy to access. 78,5% of students say this platform has a fascinating display. Then, 78,5% of students convey that this platform has various tasks. In conclusion, Live worksheets emerged as an efficient teaching and learning platform. It was found to be easily accessible, visually appealing, and diverse in its range of tasks, making it a valuable tool for EFL education. Hopefully, this study contributes to the existing literature on technology integration in language education and provides practical insights for educators, curriculum developers, and platform designers

    This research is classroom action research which is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the learning process in class. What influences low student learning outcomes is the lack of student activity in the learning process. Plus the learning process uses a monotonous lecture method. This research aims to find out whether applying the RMS (Reading, Mind Mapping, and Sharing) learning model to the Human Excretory System material can improve the learning outcomes of class XI MIPA 5 UPT SMAN 3 Wajo students. The subjects of this research were all students of class XI MIPA 5 UPT SMAN 3 Wajo for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 31 students. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle held 3 meetings. The learning process for each meeting is designed by applying the RMS (Reading, Mind Mapping, and Sharing) learning model. The instruments used were student activity observation sheets and student learning outcomes tests in the form of multiple choices. At the end of each cycle, a learning outcomes test is carried out. Based on the research results, it shows that there is an increase in student learning activities from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I the percentages were 29.5%, 37.6%, and 46.2%. Meanwhile, in cycle II the percentages were 58.6%, 67.2%, and 78.4%. This was followed by an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I with a percentage of 41.9% to 87.1% in cycle II. From these results, it can be concluded that implementing the RMS (Reading, Mind Mapping, Sharing) learning model, can improve student learning outcomes in Biology lessons in Class XI MIPA 5 UPT SMAN 3 Wajo.This research is classroom action research which is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the learning process in class.     PENGEMBANGAN MODUL FISIKA STATISTIK BERBASIS LEARNING CYCLE TERINTGRASI PROFETIK

    Development is research with the output of a product, either simply or structurally. Development research is used to design and produce a product systematically and meet internal practicality criteria. universal and use the framework of science. To realize physics education students, of course, the statistical physics module is in accordance with student needs. This study aims to develop a learning cycle-based statistical physics module/book. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D model (Four D) which is a learning device development model. The 4D development model consists of 4 main stages, namely: 1. Define (Delimitation), 2. Design (Design), 3. Develop (Development) and 4. Disseminate (Dissemination), adapted to the 4-P Model, namely Defining, Designing, Development , and Dissemination. The products developed are in the form of modules or textbooks. The data source is physics education students at FKIP UHAMKA. Data sources were obtained from informants, documents, activity processes and validators. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used the gain score test, quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Model validation was carried out using expert judgment using the Delphi technique.The results of this study are the modules / textbooks of physics statistics. Validation from material experts / academic experts, display media and revisions were 77.03 and 86.38 with very good categories. The results of the reaction evaluation to measure the respondents' responses to the quality of the implementation of the modules / textbooks were considered good. In the effectiveness of the use of modules/textbooks there are significant changes to students before and after, as evidenced by the high effectiveness or feasibility of the statistical physics module/textbook in the criteria of "Very High" and the N-Gain percentage score shows the number 92 meaning the module/coursebook statistical physics. For prophetic value, in this case it is integrated through effectiveness in using the modules / textbooks used, prophetic assessors are taken from several criteria, namely shidiq means honest with an average of 8.64, amanah means responsibility with an average of 9.08 and tabliq / truth / communicative with an average of 9.33, fathonah which means intelligent / curious, with an average of 8.67. The conclusions from the results of this study are in the form of modules / textbooks that can be used as a guide by students and lecturers in conducting lectures at FKIP UHAMK

    This research aims to determine the dynamics of the doorstop tradition in cultural studios in the Mampang Prapatan area around 1990-2020. The historical method was used in this study with a functional structural theory approach. The results of this research explain that the doorstop tradition has undergone various functional changes in the cultural life of the Betawi people in Jakarta. These changes include changes in cultural supporting instruments and the technical implementation of the doorstop tradition, although the values in this tradition have not disappeared and the implementation of this tradition has become a symbol that has a very meaningful meaning for Betawi people who want to get married. This tradition faces various challenges due to the development of the times and also the rapid development in Jakarta. Preservation is carried out by cultural practitioners, such as by introducing it to children and the general public so that this tradition is not lost in modern society

    Pengembangan Alat Ukur Kepuasan Kerja dalam Pengaturan Kerja Teleworking

    Flexible work settings using connection-based and technological devices, commonly referred to as teleworking, have become increasingly prevalent since the COVID-19 pandemic. This change in work settings may affect various aspects of job satisfaction among employees, necessitating adjustments in measuring employee job satisfaction. This study aims to develop a measurement instrument for job satisfaction within the context of teleworking, knowns as the Work Engagement Scale (WES). The development of the WES measurement instrument is based on the nine dimensions of job satisfaction proposed by Spector (1985). The participants in this research were 146 workers who had been teleworking for at least one year in private companies, government institutions, state-owned enterprises, or nonprofit organizations. The result of realibility testing indicate that the WES measurement instrument, both overall and in its six dimensions, demonstrated high internal consistency. Construct validity testing shows that WES measurement instrument, both overall and in each dimension, is valid for measuring job satisfaction. Furthermore, the items in the Job Satisfaction measurement instrument, both per dimension and overall, exhibited good discrimination and were evenly distributed. Overall, the psychometric testing results of the WES measurement instrument suggest that it has the potential to effectively measure job satisfacton among employees using teleworking system.

Nowadays, foreign cultures are easily affecting other cultures in the world due to globalization. One of foreign culture which is loved by many people, especially teenagers in Indonesia, is the culture of South Korea. The purpose of this study is to discover how much the Celebrity Worship influence the Self Concept in late teens K-Pop fans. This study uses quantitative research method with a correlational design and a sampling technique using purposive sampling with the sample criteria are the late teens and K-pop fans. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with data analysis using the Pearson Correlation Test. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between Celebrity Worship and Self Concept of 0.244%

    Entering the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, middle school (SMP) students begin offline school (PTM) after more than one year of distant learning (PJJ) due to covid19. This study aims to explore the understanding of the benefits of yoga among young adolescent girls returning to school after pandemic. The participants were three seventh graders, age 13 years old, asked to participate in the entire process of research including four (4) teen yoga sessions and semi-structured interviews, all conducted online. Qualitative data were obtained from interview transcripts. The results showed that participants perceived the benefits of yoga in increasing positive emotions, decreasing negative emotions, and improving sleep quality and their social relationship. Research limitations in the form of problems with internet connectivity and lack of research time are also discussed.     Substansi matematika sering dijumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari bahkan dalam perkembangan manusia pelajaran matematika diajarkan ke seluruh dunia, tetapi pada kenyataannya sampai saat ini banyak sekali siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam pelajaran matematika terutama pada materi matriks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kelayakan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis realistic mathematics education (RME) Pada Materi Matriks di SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Makmur Aceh Utara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian research and development (R&D) dengan prosedur penelitian mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yang meliputi: analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Instrument pengumpulan data berupa lembar validasi dosen ahli, lembar validasi guru ahli materi pembelajaran matematika, dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) untuk memfasilitasi siswa pada materi matriks. LKS yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Hasil validasi dosen ahli media terhadap LKS mendapatkan rata-rata persentase 74,15% dengan kategori valid/layak berarti pengembangan LKS berbasis Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil validasi ahli materi terhadap LKS mendapatkan rata-rata persentase 87,45% dengan kategori sangat valid/layak berarti pengembangan LKS berbasis Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran matematika.The substance of mathematics is often found in everyday life and even in human development, mathematics is taught all over the world, but in reality, until now there are many students who experience difficulties in learning mathematics, especially in matrix material. This study aims to determine the feasibility of student worksheets (LKS) based on realistic mathematics education (RME) on matrix material at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Makmur Aceh Utara. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with research procedures adapting the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages which include: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The data collection instrument was in the form of expert lecturer validation sheets, expert teacher validation sheets for mathematics learning materials, and student response questionnaires. The results of research on the development of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) model to facilitate students in matrix material. LKS developed using the ADDIE model. The validation results of expert lecturers on worksheets get an average percentage of 74.15% in the "valid/decent" category, meaning that the development of worksheets based on the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) model is feasible to use as teaching materials in learning mathematics. The results of the validation of material experts on LKS obtained an average percentage of 87.45% in the "very valid/feasible" category, meaning that the development of LKS based on the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) model is very suitable for use as teaching material in learning mathematics
