PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TENTANG PENGGUNAAN FORMALIN DALAM BAHAN MAKANAN DAN PELAKSANAAN PENDIDIKAN GIZI DAN KEAMANAN PANGAN
Full text linkFormalin is not a preservative for foodstuffs and processed products. But until recently, the use of formaldehyde in foodstuffs is still common. Whereas, nutrition and food security education for the community is still lacking.This study aimed to: (a) obtaining community about the use of formaldehyde in foodstuffs views of knowledge, attitude and behavior, and (2) obtaining community about the implementation of nutrition and food security education. Research using a sample survey method Sidoarjo urban communities with accidental sampling technique. Data collected by questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that (1) almost all respondents knew there was food berformalin (90.91%); (2) examine the impact hazard (87.88%); (3) most feel uneasy (75.76%) and fear dangers affected (96.97%); (4) almost all respondents agreed formalin banned as a food preservative (90.91%), (5) most respondents (72.73%) has not made efforts to eliminate the formaldehyde in foodstuffs , and (6) almost all respondents (85.86%) Mersa not get enough nutrition education and food security. Conclusion: The public assumes that (1) the use of formalin in the food injurious to health and safety of consumers, (2) people need nutrition and food safety education are adequate. PENGARUH STRATEGI STAD PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA SMA DI KOTA METRO
Full text linkThe objectives of this research are to know the effect of STAD strategy toward the science process skills on different academic ability. This research was conducted at Senior High School students in Metro City, by using pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design with factorial 2 x 2. The data was analysed by Ancova test. Based on the data analysis and discussion of this research show that there was an effect of STAD strategy toward the science process skills students, there was no a different between high and low ability students, there was no an effect of STAD strategy and academic ability interaction toward the science process skills students. Based on the result of this research, the researcher suggests that biology teachers in Metro City can be implemented the STAD strategy in biology learning to increasing science process skills students.Kata kunci: Keterampilan Proses Sains, STAD
MENINGKATKAN KEPEDULIAN SISWA TERHADAP LINGKUNGAN EKOSISTEM PERSAWAHAN DENGAN MODEL PENULISAN BUKU AJAR BIOLOGI SMA BERWAWASAN LOKAL DAN EKOLOGI
Full text linkA study using Research and Development design was conducted to produce a model of Biology hand book writing which is ecology and local oriented as an effort to increase students’ care toward environment. The background of this research is the reality which is still going on so far that the awareness and care of the school graduatee toward the environement safe is still low. Besides, hard science instructional at school could not affect or intervene the graduatee’s characteristics, for instance in keeping the environment awareness. Meanwhile, there are many concepts of environment which had been taught through hard science especially biology. So in the researcher’s point of view, biology subject has strategic role to prevent or mitigate the environment disaster caused by human activities. The model was validated at rice field environments. The analysis of the research result includes three aspects, namely: 1) text comprehension, 2) environment care attitude, and 3) handbook readibility. Based on the result of rice field ecosystem data analysis, it was found that (1) there was a significant difference between experimental class and control class in the rice field ecosystem which is shown by tcalculation > ttable (6.150 > 2.00); (2) there was strong correlation between students’ comprehension and attitude which is shown by coeficient correlation (r) 0.769. While the text readability test (Cloze test) shown (1) the readability of rice field ecosystem text is 56,72% (moderate). Therefore, the conclusion is that all of the texts in the developed book are fit and proper for SMA students of grade X. PENGARUH NAUNGAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN LAJU FOTOSINTESIS TANAMAN CABE MERAH (Capsicum annuum L) SEBAGAI SALAH SATU SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI
Full text linkThis research aim to know the effect of wings of to growth and photosynthesis speed at red pepper crop. The result of the research indicates that wings of to red pepper crop from aspect morfologis haves an in with plant height and plane flattened dry weight, but at leaf wide, leaves, and effect leaf length wings of doesn't significan influence compared with control. From physiological aspect, wings of at red pepper crop influences value quantum yield, photochemical quenching, and non photochemical quenching, but at value Q max doesn't show real influence. In aspect ecophyisiologic, wings of triggering produce of prolin and ascorbic acid which significan. Inferential that red pepper Capsicum annuum L very responsive in process of adaptation to environmental change for example grasp in the form of low light intensity. APLIKASI PENULISAN SEJARAH PADA MATA KULIAH SEJARAH SOSIAL
Full text linkWriting history with the right technique is a competence that must be mastered by history education major of UM Metro alumnus. In order to master it, the training is needed not only in historiography lesson but also in other lessons too so the students will be more understand and master it. One of the lesson that train the students to master the writing history competence with the right technique is social history lesson. With the topic social history event, the students are asked to rewrite social history event so the writer called the research as the writing history application in social history lesson.Through repeated training and some guidences from the lecturer, the research result shows that the students’ historiography skill improve. The students are asked to rewrite history event without changing the meaning, with the repeated training the students will be familiar to improve the analysis and interpretation skill as well as reconstruct a history event of the research object studied.Keywords: Writing history and Social Histor
