    IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH DAN DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF MAHASISWA PADA MATA KULIAH KALKULUS

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas proses pembelajaran mata kuliah kalkulus I dengan “mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis masalah” dalam proses pemelajaran pada program studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan desain penelitian menggunakan beberapa siklus yang terdiri dari 6 kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika semester 1 tahun akademik 2021/2022 kelas yang berjumlah 20 orang. Variabel yang diamati sebagai indikator keberhasilan penelitian adalah, kemampuan kognitif, tingkat berpikir kritis, aktivitas mahasiswa dan dosen dalam proses pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrument tes pada pendekatan kuantitatif, dan lembar observasi pada pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, secara numeris nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa mencapai 80,8% dan nilai rata-rata kelas 76,8. Nilai rata-rata tingkat berpikir kritis mahasiswa adalah 23 (66%) kategori sedang, namun pada pertemuan kelima dan keenam meningkat menjadi 90% dan 100% kategori sangat tinggi. Nilai rata-rata aktivitas mahasiswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran  mencapai 463 (85,7%) kategori sangat tinggi. Nilai rata-rata kualitas proses pembelajaran adalah 21 (80%) kategori tinggi. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran khususnya dalam proses pembelajaran mata kuliah kalkulus I. This study aims to improve the quality of the learning process for calculus I courses by "implementing problem-based learning" in the learning process in the Mathematics Education study program, FKIP University of Jambi. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), with a research design using several cycles consisting of 6 meetings. The research subjects were students of mathematics education in semester 1 of the 2021/2022 academic year, a class of 20 people. The variables observed as indicators of research success are cognitive abilities, critical thinking levels, student and lecturer activities in the learning process. Data collection techniques in this study are test instruments on a quantitative approach, and observation sheets on a qualitative approach. The results showed that numerically the average value of students' cognitive abilities reached 80.8% and the class average value was 76.8. The average value of students' critical thinking level was 23 (66%) in the medium category, but at the fifth and sixth meeting it increased to 90% and 100% very high category. The average value of student activity in participating in the learning process reaches 463 (85.7%) in the very high category. The average value of the quality of the learning process is 21 (80%) in the high category. The research concluded that the implementation of problem-based learning in the learning process can improve the quality of the learning process, especially in the learning process of calculus I courses

    PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROJECT-BASED LEARNING

    Siswa membutuhkan kemampuan literasi matematik untuk menghadapi dan memecahkan berbagai tantangan kehidupan saat ini. Literasi matematika meliputi kemampuan memahami dan menggunakan matematika untuk memecahkan masalah dalam konteks dunia nyata dan membuat argumen berdasarkan konsep dan prosedur. Namun, fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi matematika siswa di Indonesia masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk: (1) Analisis peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematik siswa yang diajar dengan  model pembelajaran berbasis proyek lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kemampuan literasi matematik siswa yang diajar dengan  pembelajaran biasa, (2) Analisis proses penyelesaian jawaban siswa terkait masalah literasi matematik yang diajarkan melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan pembelajaran biasa. Jenis penelitian ini kuasi eksperimen. Seluruh murid MTs Nurul Khairiyah Deli Serdang menjadi populasi penelitian ini yang berjumlah 128 orang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VIII yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu Kelas VIII-1 sebanyak 14 siswa dan Kelas VIII-2 sebanyak 14 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah:(1) Peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematik siswa yang diajarkan dengan  model pembelajaran berbasis proyek lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan literasi matematika siswa yang diajarkan dengan  pembelajaran biasa, terlihat dari nilai thitung > ttabel, dimana thitung = 22,231 dan ttabel = 1,761. (2) proses penyelesaian jawaban siswa terkait masalah literasi matematik yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran biasa.

    AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui learning obstacle yang dialami mahasiswa Teknik dalam menyelesaikan masalah integral sebagai antiderivative. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil observasi awal terhadap permasalahan yang dialami mahasiswa Teknik Sipil. Tidak sedikit mahasiswa Teknik Sipil yang menganggap materi integral merupakan materi yang sulit. Materi integral menjadi materi yang penting karena merupakan prasyarat dalam mata kuliah lain pada program studi Teknik Sipil Learning obstacle bagian dalam teori situasi didaktis yang hasil penelitiannya sangat penting untuk dijadikan dasar dalam membuat desain didaktis pada DDR untuk meminimalisir learning obstacle tersebut.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.. Sampel penelitian dua kelompok mahasiswa Teknik Sipil di Universitas Sangga Buana di Kota Bandung. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui instrument TKR pemahaman konsep integral yang dilaksanakan secara daring untuk kelompok pertama (5 orang mahasiswa) dan luring untuk kelompok kedua (9 orang mahasiswa), dilanjutkan dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Teknik mengalami Ontogenical learning obstacle psikologis dan konseptual serta epistemological learning obstacle. Mahasiswa cenderung lemah pada konsep dasar materi prasyarat termasuk perhitungan bilangan dan operasi aljabar, cenderung dan kesulitan dalam menginterpretasikan rumus integral sehingga sulit untuk memecahkan masalah dengan menggunakan integral.AbstractThis study aims to determine the learning obstacles experienced by Engineering students in solving integral problems as antiderivatives. This research is based on the results of initial observations of the problems experienced by Civil Engineering students. Not a few Civil Engineering students consider integral material to be difficult material. Integral material becomes important material because it is a prerequisite in other subjects in the Civil Engineering study program. Learning obstacle is part of the theory of didactic situations whose research results are very important to be used as a basis for making didactic designs in DDR to minimize these learning obstacles.. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research.. The research sample is two groups of Civil Engineering students at Sangga Buana University in Bandung City. Research data were obtained through the TKR instrument for understanding integral concepts which were carried out online for the first group (5 students) and offline for the second group (9 students), followed by interviews. The results showed that engineering students experienced psychological and conceptual ontogenical learning obstacles and epistemological learning obstacles. Students tend to be weak in the basic concepts of prerequisite material including number calculations and algebraic operations, tend to and have difficulty interpreting integral formulas making it difficult to solve problems using integrals

    THE EFFECT OF MATHEMATICAL RESILIENCE ON THE MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY OF STUDENTS

    AbstrakPelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika memiliki tujuan utama yaitu memperkuat kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah. Namun, Kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah masih terbilang minim. Untuk mengetahui seberapa baik siswa dapat memecahkan masalah adalah tujuan dari penelitian ini dan mencari tahu efek serta korelasi antara tingkat resiliensi matematis yang dimiliki peserta didik dengan kemampuan mereka dalam pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan berbasis survei. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan sampel dari peserta didik kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta sebanyak 67 peserta didik kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian dimulai dengan menyebarkan angket kepada peserta didik untuk mengukur resiliensi matematis mereka serta menyebarkan soal tes matematika untuk mengetahui ukuran kapasitas seseorang untuk memecahkan permasalahan matematis. Berlandaskan hasil pengujian analisis regresi linier sederhana menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS yakni menunjukkan besar nilai koefisien korelasinya R yaitu 0,577 dengan R2 = 33,30%. Dari hasil pengujian tersebut mengindikasikan besar efek resiliensi matematis mencapai 33,30% pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik.AbstractThe primary objective of implementing mathematics instruction is to improve students' problem-solving skills. Nonetheless, the problem-solving skills of students remain limited. The purpose of this research is to determine how effectively students can solve issues, as well as the influence and association between their degree of mathematical resilience and their capacity to solve mathematical difficulties. This research utilizes a survey-based quantitative research methodology. This research was conducted using a sample of students from class XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta. 67 students from class XI IPS SMA Negeri 106 Jakarta were recruited using a technique of simple random sampling. The project was initiated by providing questionnaires to students to gauge their mathematical resilience and math exam questions to determine a person's capacity to solve mathematical difficulties. Based on the findings of a basic linear regression analysis using the IBM SPSS program, the correlation coefficient R is calculated to be 0.577, with R2=33.30 %. The test findings suggested that mathematical resilience has a 33.30 % impact on pupils' arithmetic problem-solving skills

    Kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah salah satu keterampilan yang kita butuhkan di abad ini. Hasil dari penelitian pertama menunjukkan bahwa siswa kurang mahir dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika dan kesulitan guru dalam mengembangkan asesmen yang mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan mengintegrasikan aspek penilaian sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan asesmen dan menentukan kualitas asesmen.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan model pengembangan Borg & Gall. Tahap-tahap pengembangan meliputi penelitian dan pengumpulan awal informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan format produk awal, uji coba produk, perbaikan produk, uji coba lapangan, perbaikan produk akhir, desiminasi dan implementasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu29 siswa kelas XII MIPA 2 dan guru mata pelajaran matematika. Hasil penelitian yaitu kualitas penilaian produk valid 86,2903% kategori sangat valid, praktis 81% kategori sangat praktis, dan efektif n-gain score 0,556003 kategori sedang. The method adopted in this study is the historical method, which consists of four stages, namely, heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historical historiography, as well as techniques of data collection through literature research. According to the studies carried out, it can be seen that many political changes took place during the Japanese occupation of Indonesia, especially the abolition of the discrimination system and other measures in the military, government and educational sectors. However, all the moves and policy changes of the Japanese government focused on the interests of Japan's military victory, so the various exploitations in the process of policy implementation still caused deep trauma to the Indonesian nation

    The development of art in the Dutch East Indies was very dynamic by what was the tendency of the school at that time. Before the influence of European culture entered the painting, Indonesian people had characteristics related to traditional painting. However, when the European genre of painting entered, it triggered the development of indies painting and indie mooi. Therefore, this article wants to examine the development of painting in the Dutch East Indies from 1800-1936. The method used is a literature study by reviewing journals, books, or historical sources that are contemporary or related to painting from 1800-1936. The results of this article found that before 1800, traditional painters used puppet media as a painting medium. Then the story's focus is the Heroic Stories, and the religious aspect takes precedence. However, when colonial penetration entered the painting, it was secular and more commercial according to market interests like mooi indie and indis. The Pita Maha in Bali is evidence of the acculturation of European and traditional painting to this day

    Self-Regulation dan Zoom Fatigue pada Pengguna Media Video Conference

    The use of video conferencing media for a long time brings challenges in the form of fatigue that need to be understood and mitigated to maximize the benefits and impacts obtained. The hypothesis of this study is, there is a negative relationship between selfregulation and Zoom fatigue. This research method uses quantitative methods with the number of research participants is 409 students. The scales used are the Short SelfRegulation Questionnaire (SSRQ) and the Zoom Exhaustion and Fatigue (ZEF) Scale. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between selfregulation and Zoom fatigue in students using video conference media with a Pearson correlation value of -0.423 with sig. = 0.000 (p<0.05). It is known that Zoom fatigue experienced by students can be overcome if students have good self-regulation. So that fatigue from using video conferencing can be overcome and students are able to manage themselves properly during online activities

    LANGUAGE LEARNING MOTIVATION EMPLOYED BY THE STUDENTS IN SEKOLAH INDONESIA KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

    The current article attempts to investigate the motivation of language learning employed by students learning English as a foreign language but living in a state that uses English as a second language, Malaysia. The current research focused on the types of motivation by Gardner & Lambert, namely instrumental and integrative, the dominant types of instrumental and integrative, the differences between natural science and social science, and also what items of students' motivation most related to their language learning. The exploratory, descriptive quantitative method was applied in this study with the total subject (N=18) students of Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) at XII grade students of natural and social science class categorized into three levels: low, moderate, and high level. A close-ended questionnaire was used, which consisted of fourteen statements adopted from Dornyei's language learning motivation. The study result revealed that in SIKL, students were generally oriented toward instrumental rather than integrative motivation. Both natural and social classes showed that instrumental was more oriented by the students. Furthermore, the students present the motivation to learn English to prepare for a better career and future. Besides, most students present that they are motivated to provide a chance to travel to English countries. The study's findings have implications for the English teaching and learning process, especially for giving good learning materials, methods, and models suitable to their language learning motivation. Furthermore, motivated students tend to put more effort and consistency into their language-learning process, which leads to success

    KILLING TWO BIRDS WITH A STONE: MERGING READING AND WRITING ACTIVITIES THROUGH BLACKOUT POETRY

    This study investigates students' perceptions of writing online blackout poetry in an elective course called Children's Literature. A descriptive case study is purposively used to explore their perceptions of the advantages of writing online blackout poetry on their reading and writing skills and the obstacles in doing the activity. Fifty-one students of children's literature writing blackout poetries are the research participants. Close-ended and open-ended questionnaires were used for the data collection. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed thematically using the framework of Braun and Clarke (2006). The findings show that students have a positive perception of writing blackout poetry. They believe that the activity is challenging and promotes their creativity. Furthermore, it is regarded as a media that merges reading and writing activities. However, it is found that blackout poetry has limited word expression. Despite its weaknesses, this study implies that blackout poetry can promote creativity and reading and writing activities in the EFL context
